The lack of interest I feel for arthadal is no joke. I have never felt such strong reluctance for any drama before. Wonder what’s the reason?
Maybe the theme isn’t my cup of tea.

I think I would be marginally more interested if they had released zero promotions. It’s the “hype” and terrible promos that are so off putting. Then I might have gone into it with a more open mind instead of being already prejudiced against it.

Also that. The amount of hype made me go to the opposite site because my personal study says hyped up stuffs are never my thang.
And I just realized the only drama/movie I will ever watch with such bizarre make up and costume is the avatar series.

I became somewhat interested since I made fun of JDG’s hair and his possible hair products. So the promo pics did work for me in a reverse psychology kinda way, it did make me watch ep 1.

And I also wanted to hear how they will sound like and will they create a new language for this, since its a sageuk mish mash set in prehistoric times(?). I have no idea what year Athardal is set in. Haha

Before you watch, spend less time looking at the promotions and more time checking the resumes of the director and writers. The director’s last 3 efforts were My Mister, Misaeng and Signal. I can’t believe he would produce a crappy show no matter how crappy the promos look.

Well I tuned in zero promotional stuffs for the drama. only saw the picture of the poster here and there. But I did look at the cast and PD background. I’ve watched my mister and signal and loved both. But as I mentioned earlier the plot isn’t my cup of tea.

This is the only reason I’ll watch the first two episodes (part of the time I’ll only listen with my eyes closed because I hate gore).
