Beanie level: Wrongly accused fugitive

Busy week is almost finished. Got engaged over the last week, fiancé’s heading home tonight and I have more time to catch up on my dramas. Missed a whole week of eps. Will start watching Be Melo.

BF is arriving tomorrow and I have to finish watching Kahogo no Kahoko (last two eps) tonight. I also have to catch up on Rookie Historian. A year of not seeing each other and I prioritize my dramas.

UGH. KAHOKO’S MOM IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Yes!!! I thought that if Kaoko became independent and stayed out of her mother’s comfort zone, she would calm be more free… I was wrong.

She’s so controlling it’s suffocating me.

Yeah. I don’t know how we can expect a mother that suffocating to let her child be independent…

Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Love in the Moonlight are probably the only “light sageuks” I’ve watched. I’m not keen on political plots and heart wrenching deaths. Any recommendations?

Is China promoting early marriage? Every drama I watched ends with the couple getting married early. I think Japan is the complete opposite. People here don’t get married until they’re in their 30s.

Basically the way most romances and comedies end. Even I’d they don’t wed the leads, they wed some couple to make the ending feel festive.

Yep, I didn’t want to say it but yes that’s totally true, China sees that soon it will be a population of older people and they have a large number of unmarried men (older even) and women who don’t marry them. For unmarried women over 27, the government calls then “left over women” …
    https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-21320560

And you guessed right what the shows are showing, young girls can even marry old men and women with smart degrees should also marry, just every women should marry!

    This was hard to unsee!

Oh! That sucks. In every cdrama I have watched everyone is rushing to get married so it got me thinking if they’re encouraging people to do so.

I guess I’m a left over woman now. LOL.

Prob why C-Dramas were put on hold now 😅 they don’t promote patriotism anymore

Nian Nian, remove your headphones on your neck. You’re about to get married!

I seriously wondered why she brought them then I realized they were two-three hours early so I would’ve brought earphones myself if I had to wait that long. 😅

While everyone was celebrating, here I am worried sick about the computers. Hey stop spilling beer everywhere! #GoGoSquid

LOL Same! And Han Shang Yan was just looking at them proudly. The Asian Championship made them go blind.

When the Devil Calls Your Name’s first episode is good. I liked it but I don’t have the strong urge to watch the next ep yet. JKH is amazing though. He can easily portray any character.

I am walking in with the expectation of liking it but not comparing JKH and PSW to Life on Mars because that show was damn near perfect and nothing will compare to it.

In Episode 40, Gun didn’t want to take off his shirt so I took the initiative to find a shirtless pic. You’re welcome!

It’s from Tientsin Mystic, when he’s taking a bath in the first or second episode?

I honestly don’t know. I just googled shirtless Li Xian and that came out.

🤣🤣🤣 guess it wasn’t that hard to search up. I was going to drop by a comment and say thank you for going out of your way to find this. 😆😆 I’m glad I decided with just a thank you. But either way, know that your effort was much appreciated!!! 😍😍😍

Somehow my reply got swallowed up. I must have gotten too excited.

I’m watching Tientsin Mystic, he’s so different in this compared to GGS. Very hilarious.

This chap oozes tons of charm and has very good chemistry not just with his female co-stars but the male counterparts too. His chemistry with his bros in Tientsin Mystic and Dr Qin are very good examples.

And I’m in love how he’s started wearing shirts that are not black!! My eyes went like – what’s happened he looked more radiant!!! Then I realized he was wearing a white T-shirt with a black sweater on! Lol that white T-shirt was blinding!!! 😎😎

I love Go Go Squid because it\’s easier for me to shut down my brain while watching!

Watching Cdramas made me shop for yellow/mustard colored clothes!

Lost in the beanies wall maze looking for gifs of #GoGoSquid I saw weeks/days ago. HELP!

Omg!!! Gun is so cute!!!!!

What I noticed about cdramas though is that the people around blatantly stare at the actors when shooting. It\’s not distracting for me, I just find it new after watching so many k and j dramas.

For Kdramas, it’s most likely possible to block off/section off the filming site (especially how much more crazier the fans and antis are in in S.Korea), but in China/HongKong, because of the super dense and crowded streets and population, it’s harder to section/block things off…..It’s also a cultural thing

The drama feels like a drama because of the passersby so I wasn’t used to it. Thanks for the info!

Alright, 3 episodes up and I\’m charmed by our Little Squid!

Also, Hu Yi Tian is so expressive even without having to say anything!

Started watching Go, Go Squid because of the beanies and I skipped most of the flashback parts. I\’m hanging on for Gun alone. Little Squid is cute, too, but for now she does seem like a kid.

The thing about this remake is, it’s believable that they had been long time friends.#IDontLoveYouYet
