General remarks
I’m a little surprised that I watched as many as 6 KBS shows, though I do note that all 6 of them are from 2018 with me having not watched a single KBS drama in 2019 (and probably won’t until September!). On the other hand, I did expect to see tvN up there dominant with 12 shows, even if JTBC is the one leading in my ratings. Looking at overall averages, I have a preference both subjectively and objectively for cable shows and this is shown clearly by the obvious majority of them in the 3/5 ratings and above. Here’s to hoping that terrestrial channels put out better content for the next year!

I like this! I wish I could give you more thumb up 👍
Did you finish all dramas that you rate 1/5 and 2/5?

Yes, a general rule I have is that if I have watched more than 4h of a show, I’ll finish it till the bitter end. Some shows do get better towards the end though, in particular The Light in Your Eyes completely blew my mind with the twist at the penultimate week, which made the whole series infinitely more emotional and nuanced.

For a while I watched as many dramas as I could from start to finish, even if I didn’t like the drama–for science. I too found that some dramas get better after bad starts. A good example of this was School 2017. I don’t do that as much anymore though. If it has a bad start, I stop.

I wish I could that, kudos to you! I dropped Reply 1988 at episode 18, Pinnochio at 10 and there other dramas that I stopped watching after half way. There are only two terrible dramas (imo) that I managed to finish, Goblin and Lucky Romance. I don’t have patience to get through
        plot that I don’t like.

    Nice analysis.
I watched very few dramas in 2018 (9 total): 3 from TvN, 2 KBS, 1 JTBC, 1 SBS, 1 MBN, 1 TV Chosun (no MBC dramas). I have yet to finish a TvN drama this year hmmm.
