Beanie level: Loan shark with a heart of gold

Jinyoung may play the rather dim Lee Ahn very well but he’s actually very smart in real life. He’s learning both Japanese and English and his English at least is coming along pretty well 💚
(I can’t judge his Japanese because I don’t speak it myself 😅)

That ending 😱 Were both hyung and the stalker there???
We really got a lot of backstory today. Atlast we finally know how SungMo, his mom, and the stalker are connected. Although I’m still wondering how/why stalker kidnapped SM’s mom in the first place. Did her family and friends look for her when she went missing?
Dae Bong is so sweet. I’m glad he finally asked So Hyun if she wanted him around or not and left immediately when she said no. I hope she changes her mind though.

    9
    5

I think -hope- DB and SH will end up together at the end of the show… Why did she refuse him around her anyway? Was it to force him to date a girl who wouldn’t be a single parent?

      6
      1

I think SH likes him too. Maybe she’s just reluctant because of her past and she’s a single mother. Like the chicken shop owner pointed out, his parents may not accept her and SH has good reason to think that he’s just playing around. DB needs to prove to her that his feelings are genuine. I really want them to get together though. DB is such a sweetheart.

I felt so bad for JS this episode. She really wants to set things right but knowing that so many ppl were hurt so that she could get treated must be so hard to take.

      9
      2

Yes and yknow Korea, they judge who you are, doesn’t matter how great of a person you are. And marrying a single mother is frown upon. People talk.

        7
        0

I wish her dad hadn’t told her that he had covered it up for her. Why make her feel guilty.

        7
        1

I think he did not want her to think he was bad. He did what he had to do.. his reasoning.

          2
          1

Agree. He’s emphasizing That he did it for her and he’s still doing it for her. Trying to get his hands cleaned and get her respect back. Sure his hands were tied, but he rose to power because of YSS. The fact that a he’s an officer of a higher rank and is living in a mansion, he obviously benefitted in this that is not related to Ji Soo’s wellness. His corruption runs deep.

            2

This has become so creepy!!! But I’m loving it.

      8
      0

Haven’t watched the last 6 mins of the episode, cuz real life sucks 😖

But yes correct how come nobody came looking for his mom when she went missing? Or has she been all alone by herself too?

So that young girl in his memory was actually the mom – I wondered if that tiny gesture from her triggered the stalker. She showed him kindness, smiled at him gently, then he wanted to possess her, cage her. Really creepy. I wanna rewatch to see if I had missed anything but at the same time I don’t cuz what happened was so mind-f.

      4
      1

I’m not sure how they’re going to make this four more episodes without more stalker getting away scenes. I’m ready for him to be caught. One almost drowning plus the prior murders has already passed my threshold.

      5
      1

The backstory was heartbreaking. How does one survive this?
Now I understand what the caged bird represents, although I’m not sure why SM and his mother had one in their home and now in his bedroom.

Anyway, please SM, ask for help now!

As for JS, I can’t imagine what she must be feeling now. But I think she’ll eventually reveal the truth.

    7
    2

After that I wouldn’t want to see anything in a cage.

      4
      0

Why do they keep the bird? To perhaps remind themselves of what they were? It’s like a constant reminder of what they went through and overcame? Let’s hope they talk abt this and answer our doubts!

Makes for great symbolism though! The island where the mother tried committing suicide had all those birds flying around…

      6
      2

I think it’s only for the symbolism. They leave the dog and bird alone so often that I’m not sure they’ve thought it through from a practical standpoint although they addressed it the tiniest bit in this episode.

        6
        2

          Hahhah true that!

          1
          0

speaking of the dog and bird – it drives me crazy when he comes home from being gone so much and doesn’t take the dog outside for a walk or anything. Maybe the dog is house-trained on a mat?
Anyway, I hope people watching think it’s okay to leave a little dog alone for such long periods.
Okay – off my stool for now.

          2
          0

Speaking of symbolism, (I’m bad at interpreting so I’m not even gonna bother dissecting the white bird in a cage 😅) ….. did we say anything about the sunflower necklace? Why does the camera focus on it every time? I wonder who gave Ji Soo that. She doesn’t wear it but rather hangs it up in a place she can see it every time.

        7
        1

Oh yes! I was wondering abt that as well!
What’s the bet that Sung Mo gave it to her and the show tells us later on that it is her that he likes more and the stalker misread his love for Jae-In?

          9
          3

Oooohhh that would be cute if he happened to gift her that! Honestly, I feel like he really likes Ji Soo. My shippers heart is sensing it real 😍 and I can totally picture this in my head…

Anyways there was this scene in the elevator a few episodes back, when Ji Soo pouted that he can see through her, but she can’t to him, and this guy, who is soo opaque, clued her in to his thoughts! Like! That says a lot about their relationship! He’s willing to share her his thoughts when he’s so shut off. I think I might have fangirled over that. Honestly I think when he started speaking to her in banmal, I started fangirl yelping at them cuz he’s so random and they’re so cute. 😆🀭😁

Ji Soo’s Dr friend said that some people could control this illness. And what if Sung Mo has mastered this and yes you’re right, the stalker might have misread thinking his most precious was Jae In when Sung Mo said it himself, it’s her that he cherishes. People brush it off cuz they know she’s harbouring a β€œone sided” crush for years, but who knows!

Huehhhehhe ignore me, I’m just romanticizing the creepy situation they’re in right now πŸ€ͺ

            7
            0

yeah, what’s with all these sunflowers? She goes where light is? or he goes where light is.. is Ji Soo the light and Hyung the flower..
and what’s that damn poster in his room.
and why have a bid in a cage.. Hyung.. don’t turn bad..

@13infamyss – I dont for a moment believe that Hyung has romantic interest toward Jae In. I think she was the first one to trigger an emotion in him (when he was a teenager). And then he felt that feeling of warmth. May be his first love.
And seeing her living by herself without a father made him care for her and protect her. He has learnt how to deal with his illness and has managed to do well. I think he trusts Ji Soo and cares for her. But is unable to show love on his own. If asked he is able to give. Now that Ji Soo knows, I think she can handle him better than anyone else. That woman is a rockstar!

            6
            0

@mayhemf Yesss! And he acknowledged Ahn as Jae In’s boyfriend a few episodes back. He might not feel anything, but he’s not obtuse. He can see what’s going on between Ahn and Jae In and he doesn’t look overly concerned about it.

            6
            0

I’ve been so busy since last week. I literally can only sleep every two or three days.
    I miss Lee Ahn.
Have fun guys, I will join you next week.

    6
    2

Not sure about everyone else, but when LA opened the closet door and the image of young SM running away scared me. I was getting ready to see a scary scene (with all the slow motion and music). But it was still a bit creepy…

    6
    2

Oh man! that was a heavy duty episode. We got a lot of ground covered.
My heart does out to his mom. Imprisoned since teenage, raped, pregnant and a mother all in this cage. This is just cruel.
That wallpaper made me so sad, so so sad.

We have 4 more episodes. It feels like am already in the climax. What are we going to do for 4 more episodes. Can we solve all this in the next 2 episodes and focus on rehabilitation for Hyung and his mother and some happy stuff in the remaining episodes please.

    6
    2

Yes please. Can the creepy things end next week. And then spend the last week with cute, bubbly stuff. I know somebody mentioned that we tend to forget this is one heavy drama because our male lead is a fluffball. And he does make things light, so hopefully we would get a light HEA for our three couples!

      +++++
And argh, forgot to mention YSS again! It’s being sidelined all this time but I feel like they really play a bigger role in this. I mean we have a talented veteran cop who ended up being stationed in a lull town. There better be a reason why we were shown that he’s still great at deducting right? (He was accurately naming his lunch) and that the last big case he handled had YSS involved in it.

      4
      2

I know right. I knew this was not a Rom-com and was prepared for some dark mystery. But right now its just too dark. I think the whole caged teenager giving birth was too hard to handle. I could use some break. Lee An was a nice break from all the darkness. May be they will free Hyung and all 4 will go against YSS?

        4
        1

Yeah that revelation part didn’t really do well in my brain, didn’t help either that I was watching this at breakfast this morning. 🀒

          2
          0

And the 2 drAmas am watching now are this and Possessed. Both very dark. But I love them both. I need something really light to break this tone.

        3
        1

I agree. We better get some cute, happy stuff in the remaining episodes.

      2
      0

My heart breaks so bad for Ji Soo in this episodes because she cried so much. Seeing what usually a bright person cries can do that to you I guess. Anyone kindly enough to explain the meaning behind the sunflower? It’s everywhere!

12 episodes in and for the first time I realized that the bird in Sung Mo’s room is alive! Hahaha I thought it was just for decorative style.

    7
    1

Finally saw the last 6 mins of Ep 12!

Eeeeeepsss!!! Why is Ahn narrating this???????????

    😱😱

How? Why is this a painful memory, Ahn????? Don’t freak me out.

    3
    4

And she is totally looking at her pendant!!!!

This has got to be Sung Mo’s present to her!!!

      2
      1

Honestly, if Sung Mo gave that to her as a gift, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was bugged or has a tracker on it.

On the other hand, symbolically I think she is his light. Our psychometric puppy and Jae-in may have been the first people he cared about, but Ji-soo is the one who breaks his shell even if he doesn’t show always show it. I think Hyung knows all the connections and while he is trying to get his revenge, he also wants to protect her.

Gosh I hope we don’t get a morass of noble idiocy.

        6
        0

And it goes without saying after getting to this part, but so the events have already happened and we are basically watching the story unfolds through Ahn’s story.

adding one more screenshot here cuz I doubled the last pic

      3

I know right. Something bad is going to happen. Why do I feel hyung is going to kill the man.

      4
      2

        That’s what I’m thinking too.

        2
        0

Honestly it shouldn’t be a crime to kill a murderer. 🀬 If that’s the only way to stop him, he could use self-defence in court. It’s either him or that stalker who survives, so I’d rather Hyung survives.

        0
        1

Well Hyung had all the information to track him down. He was a prosecutor. He had the cops behind him. All he had to do was speak up. In the past it’s true they couldn’t catch him because he lacked an ID and these 2 survivors were so traumatized that they could not deal with the cops and ran away. But hyung has grown, learnt. I feel it will all be in such vain if he just kills him.

          2
          1

That is true. 😪 let’s hope he’s got a better plan than killing him

            1
            0

I was thinking it’s a good thing he’s narrating it because that means he survives!

Are the next five days without Jinyoung stretching out bleakly before you? Do you get Jinyoung withdrawal symptoms while waiting for new episodes of Psychometric?
I have just the thing for you: Hard Carry Season 2. Hard Carry Season 2 is five fun-filled episodes of GOT7 doing things they’ve always dreamed of. They play a zombie game on a train, learn how to surf, play an epic game all across Seoul, and have a relaxing day at a mansion. Since there’s five episodes, it’s perfect to fill the gap until we get new eps of Psychometric. I might rewatch it myself 💚
You can watch it for free on vlive 💚

It seems like sung mo’s mother didn’t know that gab yong had killed the 2 women whose identities she used. Maybe that’s why she tried to take her own life. If that’s the case, then maybe there’s hope that both SM and her mother weren’t involved in any of the murders.

And I don’t want to think that the stalker is related to them, though evidence points towards it.

    P. S- I have a doubt. Do people usually kiss each other and go on dates before confessing? If this question sounds weird, it’s only because I have no dating experience. Single forever.

    5
    7

After this episode I don’t think that SM and his mother hand anything to do with the fire or murders.

I don’t think SM and his mom had anything to do with the murders either. If they were somehow involved, I’m thinking it was an incident to help them get away/defend themselves from the stalker, which somehow hurt others too — but I don’t it would have been their intent (we still don’t know what SM instructed his mom to do).

        2
        0

I can’t answer your last question because I’m also single forever 😄😭

      2
      1

@superwhopotterlock @raonah Yes, lol. It’s common especially these days. Not sure about other cultures but where I’m from β€œconfessing” sounds so formal and feels weird. I met my fiancΓ© at a volunteer event, we hit it off and the rest was history. We said I love you to each other when we got serious in the relationship. When it felt right to say so – probably 6 months in. When he first asked me out on a date, we knew that we would be bf and gf. No official confession that happened whatsoever.

Sometimes you just see somebody (officially or not) because it feels right.

From Kdramas, I learn that Koreans call it β€œsome”

I’m gonna have to see tonight why this was brought up then 😂

        4
        1

Korean dramas make it sound like a formal confession is a necessity! not sure if its a drama thing or really a cultural thing. It does feel super weird to me too..

          3
          1

I think its very common for Korean-Japanese-Chinese to do official confession! I read manga and every single shoujo girl feels the need to do make official confession to guys! Like!

I got used to reading plots like this now, but thinking about it, it is weird to do this in real life, at least in our culture that is.

            2
            0

And I agree with your theory about why his mom tried to kill herself. She probably felt guilty that two women had been killed for her secret identities.

      4
      0

“Do people usually kiss each other and go on dates before confessing? ” – Yes, it can happen. Not everyone goes into a structured relationship. I for one, told my now husband I liked him only after a year or more.
In an organic relationship you end up going out together, not defining the relationship, even kissing until you realize you really like each other. As long as the two people are comfortable with it, feel secure about it, it doesn’t matter. I think it depends a lot on individual personalities.
Also, when you are really young, you are not thinking about love, relationships, marriage as much. Atleast I was focused more on finishing college and getting a job.

      5
      1

Nowadays, teenagers just have sex without even dating because they’re so awkward about it all. It’s a crazy world.

        1
        0

Possibly yes. Or she also came to know where her son is – because he appeared on TV right around that time.
And thought her dying would free her son from danger.

      5
      1

I thought the villain is SM’s mother and that he abused the two of them until they escaped. But he is still hunting them now. eeeeekkk but he is so creepy and scary. It’s weird to see that actor in such a role – usually I like the parts he plays.

Those two were totally sweet but I was surprised by her confession – somehow I thought they had confessed already. oh well….

and yes it does happen that people kiss and are sweet on dates before confessing. Usually that is how you find out if you like the other person enough to confess.

      4
      0

But I wondered who ordered to have the two women killed? Kim clearly said he needed a clean slate as per instructions to him.

I`m not understanding the connection between her suicide and news on Kim’s murders.

Oh man, Hyung. That was heart breaking.. 9 years in a cell.. with no contact with outside world.
How on earth did he manage to become a prosecutor? That explains why he lacked emotions. He was not born with it, but he was made so because of living in a cell while growing up. And ended up being that way as a habit, may be?

I really wish Hyung reached out to these people and formed a team. he has the entire law on his side now. I have no idea why he is going the lone wolf. Am glad Ji Soo, Lee An and Jae In are in this together. With their strong sense of justice, smartness and bravery we have a solid team here. If only Hyung came to the team, it will make a lot of things easier for this team.

Ji Soo is my favorite character. Love everything about her.

    10
    3

I agree – Ji Soo is so strong and determined. Also I think she is mistaken and that SM does like her, but is more protective of the our little detective-in-training…

      6
      1

I agree. I think that SM likes/cares about JS, and probably think she is very capable of taking care of herself.

SM is probably more protective of JA as she was in a more precarious situation + he probably feels responsible towards her since her dad — who once helped him– is in jail.

        2
        0

It’s a noble idiocy lone wolf in this case. He wants to protect everyone because he knows what this man is capable of. Noble idiocy is my least favorite plot device (maybe).

      3

Augh the thought that he might really be Sung Mo’s father; it’s sick. That he could have gotten her pregnant, gave birth to a son while imprisoned in a basement *chills*

Grrrrrrrrrr, I wanted to smack Sung Mo right there in the church. He said he regretted not asking for help 13 years ago, and he’s making the same mistake again!!!! How many times does he have to regret this, so that he learns? *face palms*

      6
      1

There was a moment when I wanted to shake SungMo after his confession in church, that things would be different if he asked for help back then, and after that decided to follow the same path as before, seriously. But after ending, seeing how his first 9 yrs was like, and what kind a monster he had for a father, it’s no wonder he has trust issues, still he should warn people around him, after all An and Jae In already get hurt because, they didn’t know about what kind of danger they facing.

    9
    1

yes, trust issues is one thing, but not acting and warning people when danger is lurking around is another. When Lee An was stabbed, that should have been the turning point for him. Even after that, he kept people in the dark. Whatever be his past, its hard for me to accept this.

      4
      2

I agree. I was glad he at least had another CCTV set up at the police station when the other one kept being tampered with.

        3
        0

I agree, it doesn’t exonerated him in my eyes, but I understand where it coming from, but still in my opinion after JaeIn was kidnapped he should come clean, it’s unclear if he get the message about her, but if he got it and didn’t call and reveal identity of kidnapper there is no way to explained it and not make him look like a dick.

        3
        0

I’m wondering how did she survived the apartment fire? Sung Mo even had to jumped out of the window to escape. Why did Sung Mo escaped alone without his mother? Did the culprit kidnap her first and then she escaped (again)?

Ps: either this questions have already been explained before and I was just not paying attention orrrrr we’ll get the answers later in the next few episodes

    4
    3

I don’t think any of that was explained already but I skipped the backstory part because it looked too scary 😄🙈

      2
      0

I don’t think it’s been explained. I remember Sung Mo telling telling his mom she’d have to do everything he told her to do in order to get away from the villain. Then we know there was a murder and a fire. Maybe the fire was set to flush her out?

      3
      1

Wait, do you think that Sung Mo is the one that cause the fire?

        0
        1

No I think the villain did. Not sure why he murdered the three women in the apartment, but I think he then set a fire maybe to flush Sung Mo’s mom out as well as to destroy evidence.

          0
          1

Nothing ix explained yet. I think that the last piece of puzzle.

@khalessymd This was a running joke last summer. Every time GOT7 went on vlive, ahgases tried to trick them into thinking there was going to be an encore concert 😂

    1. og is amazing
    2. is she the sister of the girl in a poem a day?
    3. if she is, she is smarter for sticking with the right guy unlike running after the next guy who comes patronizing her
    4. He is handsome.. and he grows on you.. i am literally.. i have literally only now learnt of his existence.. until now i just knew JW and Mark
    5. no.. he is hot and a good actor
    6. this drama is done very well with a fairly overused story.. very nicely done.. and all characters were dealt fairly

Thanks to @greenfields @isthatacorner @khalessymd urging me on, I’m posting one (two) more Jinyoung videos today.
Have you wondered how Jinyoung got his start? See for yourself. This was his JYP audition in 2009 when he was 15 years old. He was paired up with another boy (Im JaeBum aka JB) and they both won first place in the audition (it was the first time two people had won).
At this point, Jinyoung and JB have been together for 10 years. I don’t really ship people, but I do kind of think they are soulmates/best friends. In case you’re not convinced, watch this 💚 ( even if you don’t care about them being soulmates or not, there is an interview with them right after they won the audition and it is adorable. Jinyoung is speaking satoori and trying not to cry and they’re both so smol. It starts @0:50) 💚

I’ve decided to make it official. After years of saying JB was my bias and the rest were my biaswreckers, I’ve finally come to a conclusion: Yugyeom is my biaswrecker 💚
Reasons:
1. Those shoulders 😍 (see the clips from Fly below). He has such broad shoulders that he makes these kinds of moves look fantastic. (I think I really like broad shoulders since my bias and biaswrecker have the broadest shoulders in the group 😅)
2. The cuteness 💕 (see clips from Home Run below). His part in Home Run has always been my favorite. He looks so adorable coming to the front with his hair flopping about and a big smile on his face.

I decided that since tomorrow I’m going to be really busy, maybe I should post tomorrow’s Jinyoung content today 😉
As some of you may already know, this is my favorite GOT7 song. It’s so sad that JB and/or Youngjae always cry whenever they perform it 😭💚

At one of GOT7’s recent fanmeetings, they sang each other’s duets and Jinyoung and Yugyeom got JB and Youngjae’s song. They even included the crying at the end 😂😂😂 I wish I could see JB and Youngjae’s reaction to this 😂

@sicarius uri Queen of Melonia, I\’ve been dying to know, have you found the elusive Coconut melonas yet? Have you tasted its glorious frozen coconut sweetness?

So I swore I would only post one Jinyoung video a day so that I wouldn’t flood the fanwall and annoy beanies, but… there’s nothing stopping me from posting a GOT7 video 😅
In this video, they had to make kimbap without going over a certain decibel level. If they were too loud, they got a penalty. Many penalties were received that day 😂😂😂😂

And every time I hear the song I Do, it makes me think of this 💚
