You’ve shown me glimpses of who you are: funny, loving, sweet, thoughtful, snarky, different, passionate, kind, loyal. I’ve yet to discover even more than that but these glimpses into who you are have made me happy.
I have learned that you have good and bad days like I do. I have learned that you love as I do. I have learned that you would go to bat for loved ones like I do. We are so very different you and I…and yet, we are also more alike than we probably know. We don’t always agree, nor do we always love the same things, but I respect you and your opinions. I love that you have them and it tickles me so to read your thoughts. You are so full of life even when you’re hurting. I love that you admit when you’re hurting for it brings out all the kindness and love towards you.
I don’t remember with clarity what life was like before I met you, but I do know my life has become richer for knowing you. So when your days are difficult, just know there’s a Beanie rooting for you. And when they are good, know that I’m celebrating with you. When you cry in the silence of your own space, know that I’ll be sending you the biggest virtual hug in existence. And when you laugh and wonder if anyone gets you “weird” sense of humor, know that I get it and am laughing like a loon along with you. Thank you for all you are Beanies.
