I knoooow I’ve seen this little boy in Life On Mars ep 6 in another drama, but my mind isn’t coming up with what it is for the life of me!

I just started Life on Mars and I’m up to ep 3. I don’t know if I’ll keep it up, though, seeing as the tone seems to want me to be on the side of police corruption and brutality?? hopefully i’m wrong and as the show progresses the message will be a little less strange. It makes me think of Signal and how at first, I couldn’t understand why everyone blamed the main guy for doing bad, but it was kind of everyone else’s fault for being too self-centered and you’re kind of let feeling like you should side with the police because you’re SUPPOSED to. I guess I got on board eventually–when it comes to saving lives your pride has to take a sidestep when working with others–but, I mean, I still get worked up just thinking about it 😠

    A large part of why the show is so good, in my opinions, is the characters’ arcs/developments. I think if you keep on watching, you’ll be pleasantly surprised! 😀 All that police brutality and evidence fabrication will be addressed and changed for the better.

    Rather than choosing which side, I think this drama is more towards showing the real side of how most SK police worked during that time. It’s a grey area, it doesn’t mean you need to be on their side, rather take it as a lesson to not repeat the same history.

    I think the reason why SK police were so rough and full of corruption at that time was because the previous government was a dictatorship (in 70’s) and there’s still traces of it during 80’s.

    And this happened on that year (1988), read with caution, definitely not for the faint of heart.

I’m still reeling from loving Secretary Kim and I’m just thinking about how much i hate Jerk tropes yet love Park Seo Joon in all jerk roles. On record as loving Ha Suk Jin, too. Who do ya’ll trust?

    I don’t think he’s a jerk per say, just extremely narcissistic. He doesn’t really treat Mi So in a bad way or mean to her. He treats her as his employee and over works her, sure. But he’s not really a jerk.

    Not to mention he makes it look good.

    I really like him so far in this, but I didn’t enjoy his jerk character in She Was Pretty. This time it seems like there’s more depth to the character.
