I know, I know, they always tell us to “play with superposition”, “add some layers”, “give it some va va voom” but then, one day, you overdo it and it looks like a British high school uniform ate a member of the British cabinet who had previously swallowed a Mormon missionary.

I think somebody somewhere on that creative team saw the Carol Burnett’s sketch of “Gone With the Wind” where she literally wears the curtain and then thought: “Great! Same thing, but with the carpet!”

Back from the day where they were thinking of doing the gender-bent Korean version of “Sex and the City” and Park Hae-Jin was gonna play Carrie Bradshaw…

That surprises me because he is fairly conservative, right?

Oh yes, sorry. He is, he totally is. There wasn’t actually a plan to do a gender-bending Sex and the City. This is just me speculating on why he’d wear a flower that high up on that jacket. Didn’t mean to mislead you 🙁

ANGEL’S LAST MISSION: LOVE

All right. I have a bone to pick with you Ji Kang-Woo-ssi. You want to “refresh” the image of the ballet company? Good. You want them to perform new works that the public can get excited about? Even better. But then, you pick Giselle? GISELLE? Literally the oldest ballet in existence? Whyyyyyyyyyyy?

Here’s a gif of Aurora to inspire you…

may be thats his plan to refresh image by reinventing ways to have oldest ballet cab
be performed on stage… just may be… i have no knowledge of ballet but if a drama character says such then i am sure they had enough research for the same.

Mayyyyybe. I know that ballet really, really well (I was a professional dancer until my mid-twenties and Giselle is the first ballet I performed professionally at the age of 14) so I’m very surprised that’s the one they picked. Especially over more “modern”, more popular ballets like Don Q, La Bayadère, etc. We shall see. 🙂

      4
      1

Maybe because Giselle dies at the end of Act 2 and then comes back as a spirit they thoughts it would be a good fit thematically. But so does Nikiya in La Bayadère and that’s overall a more “exciting” ballet…

Hahahaha! Yeah, pretty much. I maaaaay have picked the beluga as an avatar because it’s white like Odette in Swan Lake 🙂

Hot Men Weird Suit series
#8 All of SHINEE. All of them.
I know exactly what happened. Their stylist was going through a rough time: after re-upholstering all of his delicate 19th century European furniture to feature a portrait of his boyfriend, said boyfriend then dumped SHINEE’s stylist because he needed time to explore Antartica and “find himself”. SHINEE’s stylist spirals a little out of control because he has some abandonment issues (and also, getting dumped for Adelie penguins can damage anyone’s self-esteem, because penguins are cute yes, but at some point, you gotta ask yourself if they’re worth letting go of your relationship). SHINEE, being the brilliant, supportive, awesome people that they are, smile and nod encouragingly at stylist choices and pose confidently while looking… well… weird. Love them. I love THEM. But please burn those outfits.

To be clear: I have no idea what happened.

I always think of SHINee when it comes to these types of outfits. In fact, in the drama The Fiery Priest, the young priest wore a suit similar to the one pictured here on the far right and I remember mentioning that he looked like he was a member of SHINee. Heh!

#7 Kim Woo Bin
Ok, technically, more of a coat than a suit BUT it’s an ensemble that’s supposed to work together. “Work” that is, only if you’re the type of person that sleeps in a coffin, is deathly allergic to garlic and only comes out at night. I would argue that the only reason this kiiiiiiiinda works is because he wearing red contact lenses. I would also argue that this doesn’t work at all because there is no way you pull this off in real life, even if you’re Kim Woo Bin.

I really hesitated between this and the Terminator-looking corset they had him wear at that fashion show. The Vampire won.

was it during any fashion show ? i just can’t imagine anyone would think to buy it seeing how Vampire-Y kim woo bin is looking with all whole makeup and contact lens. Did fashion designer made it for Husbands so that they can scare their Wifes looking like that.

On another note he looks like South Korean version if Indian Actor Ranveer Singh, he has such pathetic fashion sense which can’t be described in words.

Great back to the drama, yay! Thanks to a random scrolling of Instagram which led to a rewatch of 30 but 17 and trying and Loving Duel. So now I’m watching Absolute Boyfriend and The Secret Life of my Secretary.
How are you? It feels good to look at the Wall and see what people are enjoying. What have you been enjoying/doing lately.

Welcome back! 30b17 is a great one to re-watch. I’m not watching any kdramas right now. The last kdrama I watched was He is Psychometric. I think I FFd the last few episodes. Sadly I couldn’t finish Kill It. Sorry Nam-gil sunbae! 😢

But I’ve been on a cdrama binge. With Ever Night and The Story of Ming Lan as the 50 + episodes I watched with the help of my bestie, the FF. Currently watching Le Coup de Foudre, only 35 episodes. 😂

I’ll have to check them out if possible now that I’m in drama mode I want to watch Everything, All at once, but sadly there is just not.enough. time! So I’ve been reading alot of the Fangirl Verdict and listening to dramas Over

I was severely disappointed in the last 2 episodes of He is Psychometric. I kind of wish I had just quietly dropped it in the last quarter, which is something I do, usually for no good reason at all but it has saved me a few times ( Scarlet Heart…)

@silentbeluga, I’m not kdramajen, although I do listen to the ladies there.

@katrina I wasn’t too invested in the characters as I had picked up Psychometric on a whim. So no disappointment for me. 😀

Yes I do! I distinctly remember a suit that was a pale tone (maybe off-white or light blue) with a printed pattern of little whales. Couldn’t find it though. But yeah, there are some… errr… questionable choices sometimes 🙂

#10 Cheon Song-Yi (Jun Ji-Hyun) in My Love From Another Star
Listen… I know, I know, she’s already in it but… She’s Cheon Song-Yi, her footwear is nothing short of iconic and this pair in particular had people (including me) losing their minds all over the world so I couldn’t, in good conscience, not include it.

These are the only shoes that I remember out of all the dramas that I’ve watched over the years— and I’ve been watching Kdramas for a good 20+ years lol

    3
    1

That is such a wonderful thing to say. I love that. I’ll be the firs to admit that I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the fashion on this show so I love that one accessories made that kind of an impact. So cool!

      1

Amazing and fantastic fashion has always been a staple of Korean dramas (because East Asia is actually one of the fastest in terms of up-to-date fashion), but this drama with these pairs of heels were the first ones to make me actually curious as to who the sponsors were for the clothes of the drama and who the designers were 🙂 It was the drama that introduced me to Jimmy Choo (the designer of these heels) <3
