Ok, Crazy Extraordinary You Theory Time. Just so you are aware: I know nothing. Absolutely nothing. But if IS fun to theorize, so here we go:

Maybe the writer isn’t just bad. Maybe she’s so overworked (in the vein of the webtoon editor in Flower Boy Next Door) that her subconscious mind is playing tricks on her. Yes, I know the writer could also be a man, but in my head, she’s in her mid-thirties, suffers from asthma, and bundles herself in a hypoallergenic blanket when she writes because her office is always cold. Writer has not noticed, but she is so tired that her mind is doing things without her consent. I think the black hole that appeared in the first episodes are openings in her subconscious, and that’s how Haru ended up leaving his manhwa to inexplicably arrive into Dan-Oh’s. Things are getting blurred because, though Writer had a very definite plan as to what was going to happen in this manwha, the fact that Dan-Oh and Haru are pushing back is causing her to subconsciously make changes. I think the reason why certain stages do change and others don’t is directly linked to the writer’s state of exhaustion: if the writer is super focused, well-caffeinated and present, the scene happens as it was supposed to. If the writer is sleep-deprived, at the end of a very long day and reeling from a fight with her mother, then things change in the stage, which then in turn, cause the writer to try to correct course. The most dramatic example of this being Baek Kyung dramatically announcing is love for Dan-Oh to the world. We know pre-Haru Baek-Kyun would never have done that. But Writer thought that, well, now that Haru was there and the readers had seen him, the best way to get the story back on track was with a grand gesture on Baek-Kyung’s part, delaying the Nam-Joo/Ju-Da development for a few chapters.

Except Writer is going to get tired again, and now that Dan-Oh has real feelings for Haru, she will try even harder to change the story. Writer is bound to fall asleep at her desk again at some point, and Dan-Oh will change the stage, maybe irreparably this time.

You know when you’re exhausted but still have work to do, you fall asleep then suddenly, your muscles contract, you jump and awaken. Maybe that’s what the Writer is going through when we hear the ~BLIP~ sound. She’s back to being focused.

I love this! You even inserted coffee PPL.

Though I hope your theory is not applicable to the drama writer too 🙈

She is also being pressured by the readers to have more of the secondary couple Dan-oh and Kyung coz they seemed more interesting than the leads. They want a character like Haru to get Kyung jealous haha

I love your theories! But I also have thoughts that maybe Secret Author is possibly writing Secret & Flower at the same time, both got deadlines and many revision from editors (she might possibly overworking to pay her bills), thus her minds got disarray and several characters got overlapped and jumbled. (Or maybe the author intentionally inserted Flower Characters to secret as Extras to add readers or making meta references).
