Beanie level: Errand boy

I LOVED the first episode of Pegasus Market. It’s definitely my type of crazy crazy drama. It unapologetically has no boundaries. I’m already intrigued by all the characters. I wish we got two episodes a week!

I’m interested in this one. I just have to figure out when to watch it!

I gave up watching like three other dramas just so I could feel less guilty about adding this one on, but it was worth it!!

DB is recapping a reality cooking show?! I have yet to watch any of the Three Meals a Day shows even though many of my favorite actors/actresses have been on it. Maybe I’ll finally check Mountain Village out.

If my memory serves me correctly, they recapped a season (or 2) of “Three Meals A Day” before 🙂 I think it was the season with Yoon Kyun Sang… Although, I can’t seem to find it anymore in the Master List of recaps lol

Oh really? I probably wasn’t on here when they did. I searched up reality shows on the Master List too and couldn’t find any so I thought it was their first time 😂

I finally made it to wrongly accused fugitive! Although I’d rather get caught and go to jail so I can hang out with my Prison Playbook family 😊

1000 comments! I’m stuck in the Goblin’s pants as all the other Beanies chase aspirations much larger than me. But I’m getting there, slow and steady. I’ll make it out of his pants someday.

HDL ep 7: After the few flash seconds of Man-weol’s tragic past at the end of the episode, I think I have a prediction for what happened (although we may very well find out tomorrow). Man-weol originally loved Yeon-woo, but Chung-myung ultimately took her heart instead. Then, he completely betrayed Man-weol by marrying the evil princess and killing off Man-weol’s thief gang (including Yeon-woo, most likely right in front of Man-weol to torture them). Man-weol is left in grief and painfully regrets rejecting Yeon-woo for a traitor. Finally, she kills both the princess and Chung-myung on their wedding day (okay, now the timeline is messed up. Maybe Chung-myung married evil princess after killing everyone) as revenge and is thus forced to live in her current state as owner of Hotel Del Luna by Ma-go. That would be a very sad story. Sageuk worthy tearjerker.

HDL ep 8: I WAS RIGHT, except it’s still up in the air whether or not she killed Chung-myung or Chung-myung killed her. Either way, he’s a terrible terrible person.

I’m literally writing about the Dramabeans community in my college application essays. Maybe all the time I spend on here will actually shape my future?!

All my Dream High / Moon Embracing the Sun dreams coming true!!!! Kim Soo-hyun, fresh out of the military, went to visit IU and Jin-goo on the set of Hotel Del Luna, and I’m sooo happy about it!!

I loved this scene of the hotel building itself. Although the first episode didn’t make me buy the story, the visuals of Hotel Del Luna are breathtaking!

I am waiting to read comments and reviews before I try this show. It did very well, IU is surely on fire. I am quite intrigued by her character in this show going by the trailers.

Why did you not buy the story? This is paranormal + fantasy, right?

IU is truly on fire embodying her character. I can’t remember that character’s name yet, but she’s, like others are saying, a “hoot”. I’m in love with all her outfits and makeup, and I like her attitude. Except she’s always telling everybody she’ll kill them.

What I don’t appreciate about the story is the fact that it’s based on IU’s troubled past (pretty much exactly like Goblin), which was barely explained and will probably be left a mystery. I like premises that are laid out for the viewer in the beginning so we have all the information to watch intelligently and understand the nuances (if there are any) of the characters’ decisions. Also, IU bought Yeo Jin-gu for his dad’s life, and I can’t get over the facts that his dad sold him and he’s basically a slave. The show probably won’t address that either.

What I do appreciate about this drama is how unique the visual concept is. It’s, for the lack of a better word, magical, and actually very refreshing. I would watch it just to see what unexpected visual scenes we’ll get as the story progresses.

Dare I say Yeo Jin-gu has finally made it? A double appearance in the Currently Recapping section!

THIS. KILLED. ME. Why does Bae Ta-mi always end up hurting Morgan??? He gives her so much love and my heart is breaking for my tall handsome nose-scrunching teddy bear.

He needs to just end it with her. I am so mad they introduced that her piano teacher and Morgan where a couple in high school. It is a unnecessary troupe and this storyline does not deserve it.

I was a little mad at her for that too. She needs to come to a decision and stick to it. I feel like she’s so conflicted and it shows in the way she treats him. She loves him, but the uncertainty of the whole marriage argument…

Tammy is lacking in courage with her personal life. Given the nature of their relationship, colleague was not a truthful answer.

Morgan faces a choice between love, marriage, family with children vs couplehood with Tammy. Tammy faces a choice between Morgan (with conditions that are utterly opposed to what she wants) vs herself. Gee, I know which choices I want our characters to make! I did wonder what the point of the piano teacher character was; now I know.

I still think this show should end with our trio becoming the three musketeers, depending on/supporting each other, striding towards a brilliant fulfilled life.

It’s a possibility I have thought about. The three could end up singles (MG’s and TM’s idea about the future is too different; the actor will eventually become very famous and will find his way; GG won’t be part of that family again), but all friends supporting each other like you wrote.

I’m with you. I said last week on the What We’re Watching post that while I like all three couples, I would prefer the three ending up single. I’d love them to become the three musketeers.

Ugh he’s so BEAUTIFUL.
TSLOMS finished!!! It’s been a while since I’ve binged a drama, but it feels so so good! This one was super sweet and I admired the incredible strength of all the characters. It had a bit too much melo and not enough romance for me, but overall I really enjoyed watching how cute Jung Gal-hee and Do Min-ik are. And of course I always shared their joy and excitement.

I have fallen down the rabbit hole of The Secret Life of My Secretary so fast, real life didn’t have time to catch up. My essays can wait. Episode 7 can’t. I love this show, and I love Do Min-ik!!

The Pretty!! I love the pretty. I love the way this relationship is progressing. Despite the pretty, it’s reasonable and sensitive, and that’s just so exhilarating.

You GO Bae Ta-mi. Everything she says and does is so fearless, honorable, and honest. She is quickly becoming the K-drama character I look up to the most. And this scene was just so well shot.

    I’m loving this show!

Yes! Ta-mi is a professional businesswoman in the tech industry, which is just so refreshing to see. She’s not young and naive; she’s mature and experienced, and she always knows exactly what she wants. The romance and the drama are realistic, but they work together to create an extremely entertaining and thought-provoking K-drama. I love this one. As you can tell.

Also, long time no talk bbstl! What other dramas are you watching at the moment? I’m only watching One Spring Night and Search, but they’re both so good.

I’m only watching WWW, I keep dropping other shows. I had surgery lately and my concentration has been kind of shot but no problem for this show, I wish it were on every day!
Oh wait, I’m lying. . . I’m watching Arthdal but really only for sicarius’s sh*tposts. It’s not quite a hate-watch yet but it’s not far off. Sometimes you just have to watch a show you can make fun of!
        Good to talk to you!
