Children of nobody episode 29-30

1
10

I think the psychiatrist was the one who operated black chat while eunho did the groundwork (now it seems obvious , I know). Because the person who was chatting was able to read people’s minds and explore their deepest secrets and wishes. Also he’s composed and calm, and the murders were anything but, especially hana’s dad. And maybe hana told him about her sibling. I think he hypnotized them using the ballerina music box. I mean, they kept focusing on it too much.

    2
    1

Also I think the real se Kyung is probably buried in the fireplace. Because again they’ve focused on it too much. Even the father became angry when the other SK tried to hide there. Though I don’t understand why the stepmom would choose to stay with a corpse for so many years. Her twisted sense of guilt and her choosing to wallow in her misery is difficult for me to comprehend.

I feel really bad for WK. Even her father was complicit in the abuse. He hid her own daughter’s death and brainwashed his other daughter. was he blinded by his love for his wife? Or brainwashed himself?

      3
      1

I’m still not convinced it was the stepmother who killed the sister. I think it was the father. Stepmother has said too many things about a woman being responsible for making a marriage work and putting up with whatever their husband insists upon and even that if a marriage fails it’s the woman’s fault because she didn’t try hard enough. There’s no doubt she was abusive but I still think it’s more likely dear old Dad who did the killing.

        5
        4

That’s also possible. Which would explain her feeling guilty sometimes. And why she would go through the torture of treating her own daughter as her stepchild. If she couldn’t take care of SK, she has no right to embrace her own child or something like that. I don’t know if I’m making sense.

          2
          0

Agreed. And that would also explain her apparent sympathy for Ji-hye, the woman who was burned inside his car for hiding the abuse her husband did.

          5
          0

That is what I have thought all along too! How else could he continue living happily with his wife and even going to such lengths to establish her daughter as his own?? It seems impossible! He wasn’t afraid of her to stay quiet out of fear! On the other hand… WK was under hypnosis… Would she remember wrong?

          1
          2

One more thing… WK has forgotten her memories because of trauma, her father tells her stories about her school and her friends. Why does he need to lie? If there was nothing else wrong with her childhood he could have told her true stories…

            1
            0

Definitely makes sense. If he abused WK, he would want her to forget everything including her own sister and her childhood friends.

            1
            0

“I’m still not convinced it was the stepmother who killed the sister.”

          I agree with you.

          1
          1

The other possibility is that it’s her that killed the sister. That she was the child that accidentally killed their sibling and that they covered it up for her. If that were the case – wow, the whole thing would explode next episode.

It seems to me the show might be seeing that abuse is all around us in some form. That’s why we have such a complicated relationship with it. It’s why it perpetuates and it’s why it triggers us.

Bad Detective ep 5-
So yes he made a huge mistake in the past. Now that they showed the entire flashback, he has a very
valid reason to feel guilty.
Also I know TS was shocked and grieving. But he still seemed composed enough. He should’ve grabbed the nanny cam before JCM got his hands on it. Speaking of, he seems to be more intelligent than the entire department combined. Pity that he’s the bad guy. But it makes hating him that much more fun (though equally frustrating).

Anyone watching Bad detective? I just watched ep 4 and- why did Hae Jun open the door? She was at Tae seok’s place. Surely she should’ve realised that he wouldn’t ring the bell to his own home? I get she was stressed because of the attack earlier in the office. But still…

2
3

I was yelling “don’t open the door!” oh dear that was hard to watch… 🙁
but I’m still riveted by the show.

    1
    1

Me too! I really hope he actually kills the prosecutor. He can again choose to not save him 😜.

Also do you remember that there were 2 girls in the interrogation room that day all those years ago? They keep showing that memory again and again. Maybe the reporter is not YW? There’s definitely more to the story.

My laptop is making weird noises when I’m switching it on. How should I watch dramas 😭

1
5

Do what I do and google what is happening. you will surely find an answer. I spilled some sake on my keyboard last week and googled how to clean the keys and voila it worked. (Also, I keep all open drinks away from my laptop now. )*facepalm*

    2
    1

Glad you were able to fix it.

I did. Apparently the fan is not working properly. But it can also be a hard drive problem. Either ways, I’m scared. What if it catches on fire? I have to call a professional. Let’s hope for the best.

      1
      1

@superwhopotterlock – glad you found out what might be the problem. What did the article say to do until you get it fixed? But more importantly – did you back up your HD???
To me, that’s the most important question other than “did you use protection???”

        1
        1

          Hehe, protection is important.

No I didn’t back up 😭. That’s why I’m scared. It mostly has series and films. So worst case scenario, I’ll lose them. It’s ok. Nothing can be done. It’s written that I need to open the laptop and clean it. Which I don’t think should be done by anyone except a professional. So I’ll call for help and hope for the best.

Thank you so much for your concern and comfort. 😘

          1
          1

well good luck and let me know how it goes. My computers at home and at work are essentially my life and I’d be lost without them – for all my photos and my drama-watching addiction – um I mean habit.

Happy to die- ep 3

0
2

For the first time I felt bad when Jin sang died(or will die). He gave such a grand speech, showing that even though he’s insufferable most of the time, he knows when to stand up for what he thinks is right.
Is there no way to fix it without killing him? But if he gives another grand speech, I guess it’ll be okay.

    4
    1

She’ll keep killing him until he gets it right ;). I definitely loved that there was improvement in his character

Terius Behind Me- Ep 15

0
4

I had a hunch from the beginning that the director was the mole. They tried so hard(or maybe they didn’t) to paint the deputy chief as evil, with her exaggerated theatrics and all. I was confused when she met with the Voice for lunch, but anyway.

Why do these people not look at the road before crossing? And how could they send such a high security prisoner with just one guy?

Also whatever happens, I want yong Tae and Do woo alive. I want DW to go to iceland with JY and YT to meet up with his driver/secretary , enjoying whatever he produced on his farm. I was happy that he understood his situation and forgave him (of course he had to ruin the moment by borrowing money from him, but that’s why I like him!)

    2
    1

I have a bad feeling for Yong Tae tho. And the preview for the last ep didn’t help… ahh… I hope all the good guys survive T.T

How is god’s quiz? I’ve been thinking of starting it since the 5th season is coming out. Do I need to watch from the start? Or is it okay if I directly watch the new series?

I expected the fan wall to be full of posts saying goodbye to the guest, but it’s relatively quiet. Saying goodbye to this amazing show is much more difficult than I thought.

14
17

I was right! HP was never possessed! He was able to resist Park il do! But he turned out to be such a jerk. Killing everybody just so he could torture him. I don’t know how I feel about
the reveal though. They went to such painstaking lengths to convince us his grandfather was possessed, then refuted it and again tricked us. Although it would be pointless to introduce a new character, I suppose. And priest yang never was convincing enough. But I do feel extremely sad for him. He had a painful childhood just like our trio, but his adulthood also was stolen from him, forced to serve the guy who destroyed his family.

    1
    2

I thought park Hong joo’s father was already dead when she went to meet him last. But what was the point of her character? She wasn’t caught or punished. I know we can’t have everything, but her ending scene felt abrupt and pointless.

      1
      2

I think the point is that the evil is never completely eradicated. That she is a political figure, makes a particular and pointed statement to the corruption we’ve seen in South Korea and elsewhere.

        3
        1

You’re right. My complaint is that she disappeared completely in the 15th episode and just made a guest appearance in the last. Maybe it was just me, but the episode could’ve done without that scene. Just a mention would be enough.

          1
          0

Finally our trio! I knew it wasn’t so easy when it seemingly got solved in the first 20 minutes. Plus this episode was rated 19+.As the minutes ticked by, I literally had my hand to my mouth. They were preparing us to the possibility that not everyone would survive and it was acceptable in the context. I thought I was mentally prepared, but turns out I wasn’t. When yoon failed to complete his exorcism underwater, I really thought that what priest yang said would come true- it was hard enough seeing HP sacrifice himself, but seeing yoon drowning made me almost scream out loud. Maybe I was expecting yoon to die because of the prophecy (don’t curse me, I love all 3 of them!). I was so confused in those last few minutes- whole death was slightly more acceptable ( because all 3 surviving would be a miracle).

Which is why I’m glad when HP survived. Even if it means park il do is still out there. Also a possibility of a second season maybe?

I like the reveal that Hwa-pyung was never possessed. That was a great reveal and it made sense. Interestingly, I never truly believed that Priest Yang was Park Il-do. I was waiting for another you-thought-wrong-scenario (as in the cases with Mateo’s older brother and Hong-joo). It was so disappointing for it to be grandpa, mainly because he was such a sweet character and the only real family left for Hwa-pyung. I still wonder how the possession worked in this show. Was there anything left of the real grandpa during those twenty years? How could a being so evil and devoid of compassion have been able to fool those around him? How could Hwa-pyung not have had any inklings?

      2
      2

He was sent away to live with relatives as a kid and when he grew up he only visited for a day or two 😭😭😭

        2
        1

Was grandpa sweet or was park il do that good of an actor? Also like @waadmay said, he was hardly there at home to notice the change. And he had a suppressing ritual performed on him, so he couldn’t recognise any spirits.

        2
        2

          He’s a good actor , PID I mean .
And it was all planned to hurt more when Grandpa is lost to create a bigger crack to sneak through , agghh PID is the manifestation of evil , pure evil .

Not much chance, the PD is not really interested in one. He did Voice season 1 if I am right but OCN may do it with some other team as it is really popular among public.

Ghost detective ep 13- KIM GYEOL!

2
1

All this time, I was so angry and frustrated at his character. I don’t blame him for choosing to save himself, but when he tried to ‘protect YW’, I was wishing for him to just disappear. Now after the reveal, I feel so bad. Was I so blind that I couldn’t see that he was playing a very dangerous game or he did such a convincing job of having gone to the dark side? Please don’t die! Shin jae ha- you are truly an amazing actor.

    2

@greenfields, you probably saw it…but still posting it for others benefit.
Apparently, this show wanted to deliver the message of women empowerment, that women have every right to pursue their dreams, even after their marriage. What went wrong?

14
23

In my attempt desperately to make sense of this, this is now a drama set in a restaurant. The dropping of the spoon in the muck was an issue because it means their health and safety license might get revoked. If Simar isn’t a good chef, clearly they’ll have to quit.

Is that not what this show is about?

    10

This Karan fellow appears to be the root of all evil, together with Jhanvi

I have literally no clue what this show is about. You make more sense in 2 lines than what this show could manage in 2063 episodes.

I did not see this. Those are some dangerous ladoos indeed.

    6
    1

Ladoos is evillishly delicious; Simar should let me EAT the ladoos because i dont need a condition to taste food and nobody will lose job 😝😆 #missglutton

    7
    1

but what happened to the spoon?

    8
    1

Probably got drowned in the muck. Became an evil spirit spoon to take revenge on those who failed to save it. Came back and possessed the guy to fire her if ladoos were not tasty.

I’m not making sense. But neither did this show.

      5
      1

…and soon we will see the Evil Spoon in The Guest as a guest possessor 😱

        😆

*i never watch this show but it sounds similar to the dramas the mommies and aunties in my country watch during the peak hours and the next day forms a discussion group while picking vegies and fish in the market 😆*

    hahahai love this SSK talk..
when this show started it was a light family drama of 2 loving sisters. and now after so many years it turned out to be a bad tasted bhelpuri of all kind of plots, subplots, ideas and sadly still running…. why can’t they just take it off air if nothing new to show?
why waste so many resources while shooting a nonsense drama which no one watchs …indian television is its all time low I guess….

    2
    1

Thankfully, it got over this year. 2063 episodes in 3 seasons.
I’m pretty sure people watched it, even if only for the purpose of making fun of it. That’s why it continued airing. People should completely boycott watching. That’s the only way to stop these ridiculous shows.

      2
      1

exactly.. when people boycott such shows only then teams behind the scene stop making it.
and now days its Naagin which boils my blood… like what the hell are they want to show in such age of education and knowledge… am sure people consider it as comedy show and nothing else….
btw are you from india ?

        1
        2

I can’t believe you don’t remember me! Of course I’m from India! We discussed so much about Jung hwan and Taek. Also we’ve previously discussed about Indian soaps with @azzo1, I believe.

I AM REALLY REALLY REALLY VERY SORRY…
my life is all upside down in last so many months that i forgot so many things about being on DB….
i do remember all JH and Taek talk word to word but couldn’t recall any talk when i asked you abt being indian… and i am sincerely apologising from the bottom of my heart for hurting you by not able to recall our old conversation…

and still if you are angry i am here if you wanna pull my hair…

Hehe I was just pulling your leg. No need to apologize.

            0

@kdramaswimmer what is naagin about? I know it’s about a shape shifting serpent. But I don’t understand why people are so obsessed with such characters…if I remember correctly, there were a lot of shows which featured such characters.

          1
          3

Naagin is another Hit by Ekta… its a reprise version of Bollywood movie of same name starting Sridevi and Jitendra (ekta’s dad). and was one of the biggest hits.
So basically ekta took the plot, put in some (below average) spcial effects, lots of over the top make up, and some eye locks of lead pair in one box. and every episode she stirs the box picks one thing and based the whole episode onto that…
why people are obsessed i cant even understand either… everyone knows its senseless but still watches…
may be to know new design of sarees or new jwelery or new makeup trend. cause if not i dont know why such shows even come on a channel at prime time.

            2

Ahaaa Naagin! The 1st season was aired in my country recently and the tv station promoted as “the most popular drama with highest rating in India” I have to bear it coz Mom loves Hindi slot. I should tell her about SSK too but fortunately SSK never reach our shore. Currently mom is into Main Naa Bhoolungi.

@ryunami I can understand your condition. Even though my mom doesn’t watch hindi anymore, the regional shows are just as bad. It’s one of the reasons I’ve stopped watching TV completely and only glued to the laptop.

How was it? And what is it about btw?

    1

It’s good. Like I said in my previous post, their conversations are deep and philosophical (also because JI soo’s character is a philosophy major), so it was hard to understand at times, but since it’s only two episodes, it’s good for a binge watch.

      If you don’t mind spoilers….
Also I apologize if I can’t explain it properly.

It’s basically about the friendship between the two characters. JS is a student who has been rejected by the girl he likes and also probably lost his mother. So he keeps running at night to distract himself from his problems. He collapses and YJM takes care of him. He’s a homeless guy with his own set of problems. There’s also another mystery. The editing seemed a bit off to me, because there was a rapid change in between scenes. But you can give it a try, since it’s only two episodes.

      1
      1

This looks right up my alley. Plus no issue with spoilers, I surprisingly love spoilers. Thanks 🙂

I watched Ping Pong ball. It’s a 2 episode drama special starring Yoo jae Myung and Ji Soo. I usually don’t like drama specials, they tend to be very deep which requires a superior level of understanding (which I don’t possess). I like simple things that are easy to understand and don’t require much thinking. But it’s only two episodes. So here are some nice and profound lines from the drama (also posting because I want to sound a little bit intelligent LOL)

Ohhh…havent watch this one. I’m the opposite of you tho. I like drama special since it has 2 or the most 4 episodes, the plot is tight and I dont have to wait long for it to finish. 😂😂😂

    3
    1

I like drama specials for the same reason that you stated. It’s just that the endings are usually open ended and some things are too philosophical or require a higher level of understanding. Otherwise they’re perfect for binge watch.

I just started watching Gangnam beauty. In episode 2 why did soo ah try to hit on that jerk senior? All the other guys were anyway hitting on her.
Why didn\’t he just try hitting on her from the start?She\’s considered \’superior\’ to mirae because she\’s a natural beauty isn\’t it? That\’s the vibe I got anyway.

8
5

Soo Ah just want everyone’s attention on her so seeing jerk senior being interested in Mi Rae explained her behaviour. Also, jerk senior said he liked girls like Mi Rae the first time he saw her if I remember well.

    4
    1

Then why did he suddenly change his mind after soo ah tempted him? If he actually liked mirae, he wouldn’t have been so fickle. He probably thought soo ah is a better catch isn’t it?

      3
      1

Well he thinks of dating girls no more than prizes. He hates Mirae, but of course he hit on her since she is an easy target. However, once Sooah hits him, he thinks that dating Sooah is a better reward so he drops Mirae fast.

        4
        1

Exactly what made him think she’s an easy target? She clearly looked uncomfortable when he asked her to do a love shot and also when he asked her out? Is it because she was being polite?

          2
          1

For me he thinks that she is an easy target because she is 1) looking too (sorry) plastic, 2) a freshman (in which she has lesser power than him), 3) inexperienced with guys, and 4) no guys chasing her except him.

Yes she looked uncomfortable everytime he approached her, but did he stopped? No, he didn’t until Kyungsuk playing as her knight and she stood up for herself

What’s up with the lawyer? I don’t understand his character. How can he be so apathetic to his ex gf? When did he stop liking her? Even in the first episode he celebrated her birthday. They should’ve atleast shown how he gradually got tired of the relationship. But it was a sudden 180 degree turn after her sister’s death. I understand he’s working for the company, but how can he not show some sympathy for his gf’s sister? How can he not show the slightest remorse or feel conflicted for covering it up?
What is the reason for his breakup?
How did he suddenly become a murderer and again not show the slightest sign of guilt? I can’t hate him because I don’t understand his character. What is his thought process?

    0
    1

My reading of his character is that he grew world-weary and cynical descending into nihilism when working as a prosecutor and experiencing the power of the riches over the justice system. The writer has dropped several hints about it here and there. There was a scene in the bathroom where the little voice inside let him know that what he was doing was wrong but that wouldn’t stop his behaviour. He has a conscience, but it’s weak. He’s an oppurtinist now who needs money no matter how.

      1
      1

Yes that’s true. The way he treated his girlfriend after her sister’s suicide proved that he didn’t care about truth or justice or even being sympathetic to her. What’s more scary is that he ordered the murder of that loan shark so easily and his guilt over killing the girl’s mother also didn’t last long.

        1
        1

Yeah, he is not what a woman’s heart desire as a boyfriend. After a slight hesitation he chose to turn his back on her girlfriend for the sake of money. I find his bored indifference chilling (and yet really intriguing), too.

          1
          0

I like it so far. Especially after our female lead stopped crying and started taking more action.
Lawyer, I don’t think he stopped liking her. He somehow got into his head that power and money trumps justice and He consciously made a choice to go the dark route. So he had to cut her loose.
In her sister death case he knew that hey won’t win no matter what. The rich will twist the case and justice will never prevail. To save his gf from going through the legal process he lied to her. But he failed to realize what he did was the worst kind of betrayal. He has gotten completely worse in the last 2 episodes.

    1

I understand that it would have been futile to fight against the rich. My problem is he didn’t show an ounce of regret for what he did. And he doesn’t really seem like he’s still in love with her. If that was the case, he wouldn’t have been able to cut loose so easily. His change of feelings seem very abrupt.

I think we only saw the end of their relationship. It looks like he was growing distant for many years thereby postponing marriage.

@raonah I changed my answers from 1st choice to 2nd. It doesn’t really sound good, but I feel this is better than what I got previously.

Hehe I couldn’t figure out how to post my result. I think the others posted from their phone. I did it on my laptop.

Yeah, I was on my phone and it was easier. We can race next time. On equal grounds. LOL!

Being in Fight My Way sounds like a great result!

It was good till it lost steam in the last 2 weeks in my opinion. Same thing happened with WWWSK.
And I did like personal taste. I don’t remember why exactly. Maybe because they handled the gay storyline really gracefully.

        I haven’t seen Personal Taste but it’s on my to-watch list 🙂

It was the only LMH role that I liked. But please don’t blame me if you don’t like it. I watched it a long time ago. I think it was my 3rd kdrama. So maybe it won’t live up to my standards now.

Personal Taste was a very tasteful show in every aspect except the clothes department! I remember having to rewind many scenes because I had been so dumbstruck by the clothes that I completely missed what was happening!

I know everyone\’s still reeling from the shock that was LOM ep 8. I\’m still confused….BUT… I\’ve a doubt

Did NY and TJ have their movie date? Or was it cancelled because of the case? Or did they have it but wasn\’t shown to us? If it\’s the latter, I\’m going to be so pissed.
I know it\’s anti- climatic. Don\’t come after me.

Am really wondering about this too! Maybe it’s just an admission ticket with no fixed date..? *crossing fingers*

But she said in ep 7 that she’s going to watch a movie the next day…I really hope they got time to watch it…but I’m not that hopeful.

If the tickets are open date type, they’ll have time till the drama finale to go to a movie date… (Sorry, my desperation is showing!)

I’m with you. I just want more moments between them! This week it was lacking. But I also want the mystery part.
