            Yeah but he’s very pretty still! Even I get confused sometimes. Also, she’s never seen korean actors before. They’re mostly clean shaven with perfect skin and facial features, compared to indian or western actors,who are somewhat rugged, but handsome nonetheless!
            I understand her. When I first saw korean actors, my first thought was- They’re so pretty. How are they hot and manly? in the sense that, they’re well groomed and maintained compared to the actors and even actresses i had known until then.

            I will admit that there are some actors who I just find too pretty and perfect looking, to the point where it’s almost cookie-cutter and bland and I get bored looking at them even though they’re very pretty.

            Park Bo-gum is not one of them, though. His face is perfect but still has something interesting and masculine about it.

    Awwww! We have fun with our delusions, but I think all of us (most of us?) are mentally healthy enough to separate fiction and the world of TV from reality. It sucks, but we all know that we must face the music that is reality. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of escapism, though!

    Also, fact: moms love Park Bo-gum.

      I’m still hopeful though, that I’ll make her watch a korean series someday. Maybe I’ll show her IRY- that’ll remove any doubt from her mind about him not being a guy. But then, I fell in love with the puppy there. Is something wrong with me?

        You should definitely watch it with her! It was IRY where my mom said he was cute and that got me really excited because it was the first time she had ever called a K-drama actor cute before. 😊

        And totally not weird. Min was a puppy. A psychopathic, murderous puppy whose actions should not be excused, but still a puppy. One of the only fictional killers I will let myself feel bad for. That drama was all about what makes a monster, after all.

OMG! Was it this bad even when BTIOFL was on air? Not even every second or third,but LITERALLY every post on APAD! I haven’t even watched the episode yet and I’m already dying of laughter and cringing so hard at all the POKER FACE tactics! LJH you are amazing! It takes talent to “act” bad at hiding your emotions!

    APAD is literally invading the Beanie world and has been from day 1. I don’t watch the show, but looooooooord, there is nothing else to read BUT about APAD on the Beanie wall. lol

    which kinda makes me sad for the shows that I AM watching, but hey… APAD is definitely a season fav!

APAD ep 11- Based on the preview, it looks like it’s Dr.Ye. But then drama logic states that they won’t be endgame. It’s very rare that the couple gets together before the finale week or episode. So that’s it. I’m hanging up my boots. I can’t play this shipping game anymore. I’m sorry ye-liners. For my own sanity, I’m going to the isle of neutrality. I’ll still be partial to ye-line though. @wishfultoki,or any other islanders is it too late to join? Can you pick me up?

            Even I’m tired of the shipping game. Minho has improved at a lightning speed, which, by drama standards is perfectly normal. So now I’m even more convinced that he’s the one. Though it breaks my heart. Guess I’ll drink my sorrows away, the best I can with cocktails and enjoy the short period of ye bliss.

    Actually in every kdrama main leads start dating in episode 12. I am talking about 16 episode dramas. 1 episode of happiness, 2 episodes of angst/noble idioticy/mini break-up, final episode with couple reunion/happiness

      Usually in those dramas, it’s pretty clear who’s the main lead and the 2nd lead . here both are Co-leads with both expressing the traits of main as well as 2nd lead. It’s pretty ambiguous at least to me.
      And why do they have to have noble idiocy/separation angst for 2 eps? Is it so hard for them to be together for 5 eps?

        Yeah, I hate angst and mini break ups too. It’s still pretty ambiguous, but here are my frustrated ramblings:

        Plot-wise, we have to deal with more issues with a Bo Young/Ye pairing:
        – He doesn’t want to date at work. He hates gossip. So problems will arise if they do start dating.
        – Bo Young is still a contract worker. What will happen once her contract is up?
        – Hospital politics: They could affect Dr. Ye (while Min Ho is just a trainee). If so I suggest he leaves and goes into teaching, like his friend said, since he is a good lecturer.

        Min Ho/Bo Young don’t have any problems if they date now. Min Ho’s future crisis will be to decide if he wants to become a good physical therapist and study hard. I don’t expect his family will care if he dates or not.

        Sort of concluding: if Ye and Bo Young don’t start dating now, I don’t think Bo Young will end up with any of the guys. Possible open-ended ending with an improved Min Ho.

        See why I gave up on giving forecasts?

          Wow! You make some very good points,though they’re detrimental to ye-line.
          1. He seemed ok with dating at work when it was going well. It’s only after her ex cheated on him that he made that rule. There’s still a possibility, but BY is a different person. It necessarily doesn’t have to be the same way.
          2. I don’t think they’ll have a problem with long distance. Plus remember this is a drama. Everything will magically work out in the end. Not the OTP, but she might get a full time position.
          3. They haven’t really focused on politics,one of the reasons I like this drama. And there’s no rule against co-workers dating. But you’re right- he can become a lecturer. Again I don’t see why they can’t deal with long distance. Technically I don’t think they’ll have to be in separate places, just different places of work.
          * I’m supposed to be neutral. yet here I am* old habits die hard.

            Hehe, what I mean is that it would be more smooth sailing for Bo Young & Min Ho, but not for Bo Young and Ye… and since we have 4 more episodes it points more towards Ye (IF he confesses in ep. 12).

            I’ll stop making conjectures and go watch the drama LOL.

            Minho- Yes they’re no problems now. But I can’t digest this sudden interest of his in poetry. Granted, love changes you. But still, the reason why I prefer dr.ye is because he started liking poetry before liking Boyoung as a person. it’s a very fundamental part of her personality. Whereas minho only started liking poetry after liking boyoung. I’m not able to explain this properly. I hope you understand what I’m talking about.

        I usually avoid dramas that are mainly romance so my “kiss database” (LOL) is pretty small. Tbh I think I swooned more at the build-up to the kiss and the poem than the actual kiss.

Taking a leaf out of @rket593‘s book, my suggestion for the illness that is gripping the ye liners.
Disease name-yencephalitis.
Symptoms-unable to utilise brain for regular purposes due to daydreaming about Dr. Ye.
complications – may lead to yelirium.
Treatment– yemmunization. Repeated doses of Dr. Ye pics, videos and clips to cause desensitisation, if possible.

Anyone who’s watching switch? How many of you think joon so is just pretending to have gone rogue? Maybe he’s made a secret plan with do chan without telling anyone? Or he’s sacrificing himself so that ha ra and do chan can take down the baddies? Looks like his health is getting worse?

    I think Do Chan & Joon Soo are working together without involving Oh Ha-ra and the others. “Betraying” Do Chan and telling Geum Tang? his location is probably the only way to clear his name & lift Joon Soo’s suspension and at the same time work for & spy on them.

APAD ep 10- Bo young! I feel so bad for her. She’s so utterly crushed from all sides. I hope she gets her bubbly, positive spark back! I really want her to find happiness. But I was quite impressed with how she’s handling it. She’s not pretending to be strong because it takes time to recover from such heartbreak. But she’s just the right amount of vulnerable. She’s still doing her job properly and I liked that she politely asked Dr.Ye to not be so considerate of her and she’s right. She doesn’t need to be more confused by his actions right now. But as other beanies said, I was surprised that she liked him so much. If he has seeped into her subconscious, it can’t be just a crush. But as a ye-liner, I can relate- who wouldn’t fall for that guy?(this is strictly my bias speaking.)
Speaking of the culprit – I can understand his feelings and he broke my heart more today. When he started reciting poetry in the rain- I had to double back- it’s his voice right? But he spoke more clearly without the usual jaw clenching way he speaks( that’s kind of annoyed me from the beginning.).I’m going off topic here. Coming back, it’s clear he likes her, not just after she confessed, but from before itself. So you better make it up to her next week or I’m seriously gonna jump ship.
I’m kidding. But I’ll be pissed.
Speaking of minho- I’m sorry to the other ship now. You didn’t get the romantic scene at the beach you were hoping for. Now I can see why you guys like him so much. I’m impressed by how much he’s matured in just one week. He’s so sweet now. Why couldn’t you be nicer before? I know he has shown glimpses of his better side before, but I was too blindsided by my bias and he always used to undo his niceness. Now I’m seriously considering going to the isle of neutrality. Is it too late to join? What are you doing to me now show?I’ve become like Dae bang in real life too.
Speaking of- Do we see a new OTP in the making?
Finally RIP alligator. I hope Nam woo has enough strength to get through this. But it can be sewn back properly now right? Provided Bo young managed to hold onto it? I need atleast one OTP to survive till the end. Oh Joo yong Joo yong- how could you commit such a heinous crime? You deserve that low TOEIC score( I’m kidding, I feel bad for you too and myself- I can see myself in you and I’ll end up like you if I don’t study. so give me inspiration and start studying will you?)
The chief is really the nicest person I’ve seen in the dept after Bo young. I just want to hug him and tell him that his two beloved juniors are not suffering because of him.
And the preview- Looks like rocky waters for both the ships. I hope it gets decided in the next episode itself. I can’t stand it anymore. But my heart will break either ways. Both of them are stepping up and it’s hard for me to decide. I just want to see her smiling like that last pic.

      Hopefully, if it means I can hear him speak more clearly. How does he manage to speak without opening his mouth? Is it a character trait or has he always spoken like that? I don’t remember him jaw clenching in FOS though.

Based on the preview- if Dr. Ye is hurting so much, can\’t he confront her and confess he likes her too? I want the final scene to be that-he goes and grovels for a bit, they make up and hug it out (I wouldn\’t say no to a kiss). Is it too much to ask? Yes I guess. We\’re just halfway through. There needs to be appropriate amount of angst right? To make us suffer along with them? This is just my yeshful thinking. Bear with me. I\’m desperate here. What has this drama done to me? Yeesh!

    UGH! I feel all this! I donno what the hell he was thinking. I mean I get it, its only ep 9 so we can’t have things be that easy. But I need him to make up for being an idiot today. At this point, I’ll take the angst if it means my ship sails in the end.

      My point is if we can sort it out right now, we can do without all the angst and just have the rest of the series of them being cute together. This will give us time to explore the other characters relationships also. And JW and BY can help each other grow and also heal. Cos this drama is much more than that. I can’t focus on the other aspects of the story because of this’ who she’ll end up with’ game. I understand his reasons for not wanting to be in a relationship so soon BUT he likes her too . So what’s happening?
      But I also know that going by kdrama logic, there’ll be angst and minho will be endgame. *SIGH*. at least he’s shown a lot of maturity in this episode. I guess I’ll be fine with the end result. But with a very heavy heart.

        Yes I was hoping that this drama wouldn’t do the whole paint by numbers things when it comes to their relationship. I don’t like ti when writers jerk us around with unnecessary plot drama and keep doing the will they/won’t they question till the end.

        You are right this drama is so much more than the central triangle. I love all the different characters and their relationships with one another. This drama has enough meat, fleshed out characters, and potential plot lines they could explore that they don’t need to draw out the love triangle till the end. I hope the writer knows that and the romance happens and has time to grow, along with characters arcs for all my favorite secondary characters on this show.

WFKBJ ep 16- That’s the end of my spam. I really loved this show. Although the story was simple, it was the characters who made it truly outstanding. I haven’t heard good things about NJH’s acting, but he truly owned Joon Hyung! He has become one of my top male leads,maybe even displacing Yoon jae from R97 or Se hee from BTIOFL or even Gang doo from JBL ( no all of you are my favs!). I think he should stick to these kind of roles for now before trying something else. And of course this couple has also become one of my favourites.
I wish I had live watched this, but on the other hand I got the chance to relive this with most of you who also loved this show. So thank you for bearing with me and I again apologize if my excessive spamming annoyed you.

    I love this show. It’s one of my top rom-com. So funny, so sweet and so beautiful. It made me forever a fan of Nam Joo Hyuk. I don’t care how he does in other dramas. Same with Lee Sung Kyung.

    Also OMG we have the same favorite male leads! Joon-hyung, Yoon Yoon-jae, Nam Se-hee, Lee Gang-doo! You have excellent taste, my friend. Rounding out my personal top 5 is Kang Tae-bong from Dal-ja’s Spring.

    Nam Joo-hyuk rocked this role. He struggles when he steps outside of this type of character, though. Versatile he is not, but WFKBJ proved he can be delightful in the right role.

        Judging simply from the fact that we seem to have similar tastes, I think you’d like Dal-ja’s Spring. If you’re ever in the mood to watch an older drama, give it a try. It’s a great nostalgic watch in terms of 2007 fashion, haha, but for the most part it’s not frustrating like many older dramas. It was a bit ahead of its time, I think. Great characters! Even the ones you think are set up to be hated end up being weirdly lovable. Well, most of them.

    Its one of the best Dramas in recent years. Its so refreshing and perfectly cute with just the right amount of relatable angst. And our main couple gave me all the feelings. This is one of my go-to dramas to lift me up when Im very down.

    I love this drama, so light & refreshing! I still watch my favorite bits sometimes when I’m need of some mood-lifting .

    NJH did so great, one of the reasons I was so looking forward to bride of the water god last year, which turned out to be umm… different(?)
