    Me!

    I am! But behind 7 episodes. 😓

I thought I was caught up until I started watching an ep and was like whaaaaaat is going on. I missed the previous two episodes. 🤦‍♀️ The house arrest…I mean, shelter-in-place rules have the days blurring together. I’m kinda glad though, four episodes at one time was a nice surprise.

Me!! I love it so much 💕

    2
    0

    Yess! N love it!
At first I was hesitate because of the FL that was giving comedy drama vibes n all those forced scandals but Iโ€™m glad I didnโ€™t drop! Now that I know why she is like that I really like her! And Anchor Lee is soOo good..
Iโ€™m saving some tissue for coming episodes🤧

    3
    2

I’m enjoying the OTP. I really like them together. Anchor Lee goes from broodingly handsome to cutie pie in 2 seconds. Ha Jin is sweet in her naiveness but not a pushover.

      3
      0

At first i found it quite distracting that everyone who’s supposed to be younger or same age as Ha Jin is actually way older than her but now I’ve decided to just focus on the story

      1
      1

Right? Like her sister. It was very distracting at first but now I’m used to it.

Me! I wanted to talk about it, but most often than not, I couldn’t find the right words to explain why this seemingly same-old drama is this captivating.

    5
    2

It does feel fresh even though it has many of the same plotlines as other dramas. I think it’s the leads.

      3
      0

Yess well said. I was a bit iffy after the opening episodes, and felt it could go either way – be reasonably good or be bad – but somehow it’s … enchanting, captivating. Better than I’d ever thought it could be. It’s doing so many things right.

      3

ME! this week not yet though.

Me! And it’s better than I thought. The FL is adorable.

    2
    1

I wasn’t going to watch it but I was desperate for a new drama. I haven’t liked anything I’ve started lately but I was pleasantly surprised. Ha Jin really is adorable.

I am! Just randomly tried to watch the first episode because of Kim Dong-wook and still enjoying it so far.

    1

Kim Dong Wook only came onto my radar recently with both of the Along with the Gods movies.

Me! Also, so happy to see so many other Beanies enjoying it. I thought I was one of the only ones! I’m surprised by how much I like it even if it’s a storyline we’ve seen before. The leads keep it fresh, love them.

Ending #MusicMarch off with a favorite video of mine…

I have tried for two and a half hours to watch ep 1 and 18 minutes of ep 2 of A Gentleman\’s Dignity. Kocowa is 🗣 THE CRAPPIEST APP TO USE FOR CHROMECAST!!!

2
2

If it helps, Viki is doing that to me with Tell me what you saw.
It doesn’t do it with any other show.
That’s the reason I’m still on episode 12.
    Let’s be patience…

    1

Kocowa has been doing this for months. I have tried for the last hour to watch the same episode, it has restarted 14 times. I counted. I’m still in the first 15 minutes. My patience is gone. It’s not just me, it happens to my mom too. She has an iPad and I use a Samsung tablet.

Park Hae Jin is finally going to be in a drama I want to see.

Why does Jung Hae In pick such heavy projects? I think I\’ll have to skip this one. I\’m definitely not in the mood for something so angsty.

5
5

For what it’s worth, I actually quite like it! Chae Soo-bin is great so far and Hae-in’s putting in a good performance. However, it is sort of moody and atmospheric, and I do hold it against him for picking similar projects and playing similar characters. Still, I like it overall.

I was wrong, you were right. After finishing episode 2 and seeing episode 3, I’m not sure I want to continue this show. This is too oppressive.

I’m with you, I need him to be happy, goofy and swoony. I am tired of his hit dog look. I want to see him be playful and do things to make the FL ( and all Beanies) swoon and kisses. I want pecks, smooches, and hot kisses. I am tired of TRAGEDY.

      1

I just finished the first episode of A Piece of Your Mind and I swear, I have NO idea what I just watched. What is supposed to be happening?

6
16

Oh go on and watch the next episode and be just as confused as me! but with a dash of anger!

    6
    1

I watched it and you are right, I am a little angry.

Why does Ha Won like someone so…what is the word I’m looking for…stupid? Wishy-washy? Frustrating? Ughhhh, like why would she do that?!

      2
      1

I’m hoping that she wasnt so…ugh…when he fell for her as a teen. But, when he flew literally across the world because she deigned to call him? And after spending the day together she tells him, “I’m getting married, and he knows you…” but then refused to tell Ha Won who she’s marrying? I was over her.
I get depression. I get feeling hopeless and lost. I get feeling suicidal. I am intimately familiar with all of those emotions. When she called Seo Woo (is that her name, I am so bad at names) so that she could have someone to chitchat with as she died? That flat out pissed me off. I dont know how I’m going to watch the next episodes with people mourning her when she did such an awful selfish thing. What did Seo Woo do to Ji Soo that Ji Soo decides to repay her by what allowing Seo Woo to listen to her suicide while knowing that there’s nothing she can do about it? And whats worse is she KNOWS that Seo Woo would WANT to do something to help her. She bent over backwards to try and help Ha Won and her based off one or two conversations. Seo Woo considered Ji Soo to be her friend. Of course she’s going to want to do any and everything she can to help her. And Ji Soo repays her by calling her to her suicide. Jerk.
Thankfully, Seo Woos new love interest is about 100 times better than his old one.

        4
        4

Was it suicide or stupidity? I know she was unhappy but suicidal? Do we agree that her husband is the reason Ha Won’s parents are dead? Why not just leave him? I have so many questions but no inclination to wait to find out.

          4
          3

Yes I thought her husband was involved in Ha won’s death. I’m hoping that somehow ji soo is found alive. I don’t think it could be an accident because she could have got out of the hut.

            1
            0

I think it was suicide. We don’t know how far the shelter is from anything, but its near enough to somewhere that when they were small kids they were going there alone. And I havent been in a proper snow storm recently but I feel like they dont roll up out of nowhere. As someone who grew up in that country she should have been able to tell that snow was on its way. And even if she couldn’t–there was enough snow on the branch above the shelter that it broke. All of that snow wasn’t accumulated onto that one branch. She saw branches heavy with snow when she was on the path and she kept going. And, when Seo Woo was on the phone with Ji Soo Seo Woo kept telling Ji Soo to hang up the phone and call help and she never did. She just sat there and watched the sky. If she truly wanted to get help–we know her phone got service out there–it seems to me that she would have done something to help herself. Make a bed out of snow to wait out the storm or something. She did nothing. Her inaction was a deliberate choice.
Maybe she didn’t go there specifically to kill herself but it was 100% not an accident. Its like people who kill themselves by driving their cars into a wall or off a cliff.
Why do you think her husband is the reason his parents are dead? I was wondering why, of all people places and things she decided to visit his parents grave before she offed herself (if she did off herself)

            2
            0

I think suicide. I think she genuinely loved her husband; I think she may have felt complicit in whatever her husband did to wrong Ha-won. But it’s unclear, as you say.

I’m not sure if her husband killed Ha-won’s parents. It’s plausible that only his mom was killed as well; or it could be something related to the piano (seems like Ha-won’s mom was a pianist or piano teacher, Ji-soo’s husband is a pianist, and he used to be in Norway). But who knows.

I’m so torn about whether I want to continue this drama. I liked episode 1 well enough, but episode 2 (especially the second half of episode 2) really threw me off.

Honestly, why is Jung Hae-in so in love with tragedy porn? Can’t he do an effing rom-com? I want to see him be funny, frivolous, and swoony. Is that too much to effing ask? Honestly, if Hae-in is making these project decisions, his agency needs to reel him in; if his agency is making these choices, he needs to fire his agency.

Haven’t watched the second episode yet. Hmmm, it sounds…Bad.

          1
          0

Okay, I’m totally with you on this one. WTF is wrong with this girl? Mental health problems, I get. But calling a person whose parents died in a forest fire while you intentionally freeze to death in forest? Not cool, especially when the person you’re calling clearly cares for you and would want to help you. It’s even worse when you take into consideration how Seo-woo feels sympathy for and an attachment to Ha-won (even though she hasn’t formally met him).

          1
          2

It just seems like the husband has something to do with Ha Won’s parents’ death. I can’t think of anything else she would feel so guilty for. Especially the way she said she didn’t have a right to see Ha Won. Idk. You and @smaltwalt let me know how the next to episodes go.

          1
          2

I’m in the middle of first episode and I don’t know why I keep watching it (well, I know, the name is Jun Hae In, but for once it may not be enough…).

I feel like Kocowa isn\’t worth the money. They charge a premium price but they\’ve only had a few dramas airing the last 6-8 mths, the rest is all variety. The UI is crap and Chromecasting is janky. I was just looking for something to start and there really isn\’t anything that caught my eye. Find Me in Your Memory, Nobody Knows, The Game: Towards Zero and Beautiful Love Wonderful Life. (Side note: HOW LONG is BLWL going to air?!! I feel like it\’s been on for 6 months ) This has nothing to do with production being shut down either.

I feel much better now that I\’ve vented. Kocowa has been so frustrating lately.

P.S. For you R&B lovers out there, there is this cover band called DW3. Look for them on Facebook and Ig they did an hour live concert earlier today. It is relaxing and easy on the ears. Be strong Beanies.

Regarding BLWL it is a weekend family drama with 50 hour (100) episode. They had final run this weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have Kocowa because I watch a lot of variety and the Roku interface works well. iPhone app is good too. Desktop UI is the WORST and uses all my CPU then crashes. If I didn’t watch variety I would drop it.

I cast to my tv, so does my mom. I have Samsung tablet and my mom has an iPad, they both crash all the time. 😔

That’s the scene at my corner of the world too… It’s not like I went out every day.. Just the fact that I CAN’T now.. That irks me…. Still will have to risk it in a few days for grocery.. That’s about the only reason people are allowed to go out now😔

Yes, I hardly ever go out either but just knowing that I canโ€™t makes me want to go out much more than usual 😬

It\’s a sad day when I wish Netflix had gotten the license for a drama instead of Viki.

Four Weddings & a Funeral reminded me of how most K-dramas are, starts off excellent then quickly nosedives. It was really good…until it wasn’t. I love this song. #MusicMarch

I was on TikTok (don’t judge me) and I found out the oldest sister’s husband on Marry Me Now (real name Kang SungWook) is serving 5 yrs for rape. I am floored. I mean I can believe it but wow…

I recommended CLOY to a friend because it only was released in my zone by Netflix yesterday. So I decided to go through some episodes yesterday, and when I realized it was almost 2 a.m. (fortunately it’s Mardi Gras and a holiday in my hometown).

Hyun Bin & Son Ye Jin have AMAZING chemistry. So glad I waited to binge watch. Waiting every week would\’ve been torture.

I\’m getting that bleak feeling again as it seems Beanies have been abandoned by DB Staff again. Is there somewhere everyone is going in case of a shutdown? Should I give my KaKao to someone for future notification?

This is my fear, too 😰😰
I sent an email to the Dramabeans staff about 2 weeks ago about a matter on my Fan Wall and have not gotten a reply at all from any of the Dramabeans staff…

I have the same feeling. I will be so sad if DB really shuts down. It has been my go to for recaps since mid-late 2000s. I don’t read recaps much now because usually the dramas I watch aren’t recapped. In the meantime I grew attached to the fanwall, a place I can share anything about my dramaland thoughts. Through the fanwall I connected with many beans. It’s sad to think theres a high chance, that one day, it will be no more 🙁.
