You said you were still watching. I didn’t want to be THAT person.

Ohhhhhh, In suk is gonna have a stroke and if Sun ja listens to even one word she says, Imma be pissed.

Is anyone going to watch Chief of Staff?

If I have time, I will definitely watch it 🙂

It just hit me that with no YG G-Dragon isn’t coming back to YGE. None of them will have a sense of loyalty to come back. I wanna cry now. No more Big Bang.

Is there a particular company you think he’d want to go to?

    0

Honestly the only one I think he would go to is Psy. The other two of the Big 3 wouldn’t let him do as he pleases like YG. Other companies are too small for him. The other big question is would the other three go with him? TOP could say screw it and just act but Young Bae and Dae Sung are singers. Where will they go?

    😭😭😭😭😭
It’s the only band that I love.

If it’s any consolation to you then they will be safer out of YG’s clutches. I get this really bad feeling in the back of my head that YG exploits people’s feeling by baiting them with loyalty. If you see the case with BI and TOP, they both were under YG from a very young age and I don’t excuse irresponsible behaviour but we cannot ignore the fact that these guys grew up in that place

Big Bang and YG made each other. They have a sense of loyalty to the man that made them. Can’t say I blame them. None of the Big 3 are great places to work as far as I can tell. I don’t think any of them are better than the other. As the saying goes “you just didn’t get caught”.

GD was with him since 12-13 as was Young Bae. I think it’s the industry more so than the company. There are a lot of trainees that start at an early age which isn’t a good way to grow up if you ask me. The fans want all this good music but the artists have had no life experience in which to reference anything. Love, breakups, partying. How do you write about this when you’re locked up practicing? Creative people are some of the most depressed. Self-medication is not surprising. I don’t think where they are has anything to do with it. YG just covered it up.

I agree with you. One of the main reasons I can’t get as involved in k-pop as others is because of this environment that the industry has. The industry is flooded with artists who are spending their entire formative years in one place training. It just feels claustrophobic. One female idol said that o e of the main reasons she doesn’t date male idols is because they have grown up training and then are unable to navigate relationships when they grow up

I was at work early this morning and just got on the internet to see YG resigned! It is on Yahoo’s Home page. Wow.

Something has been on my mind since watching WWW late last night. The possibility of Cha Hyun being gay. I really don’t like the way they are going about this. I feel like they are using it as a way to explain why she is the way she is e.g., beating men up, letting off frustration with physical activity, saving the damsel from a rogue scooter. It’s like seeeeee she has masculine traits because she’s gay. Sigh, idk…maybe it’s just me.

Not just you. I did feel that and thought it was bullshit.

    2
    0

Yes same. I was disappointed that they went that way because its like saying obv she is a lesbian because she has some (made by the society) masculine traits.

    2

I had those vague feelings but didn’t really understand why it bothered me – but you are spot on! Gay men are portrayed as way over the top (see photographer in Perfume) and we rarely see Lesbians – so this would make sense as they try to open this door.
    Still it’s unnecessary.

Sidenote: My iKON banner is so bittersweet right now.

How’s the level of yelling and level of stupidity and unprofessionalism that encourages more level of yelling?? There was a lot of yelling and A LOT of unprofessionalism and stupidity in season 1, which is why I’m scared to approach season 2, but… but… but… NO MIN WOO

WWW: If all noona romances were like this I would be a fan! Park Morgan is such a flirt. I love that they slept together already. None of this ” I love you” and we haven’t even held hands yet. This is a realistic adult relationship. Neither of them is silly acting or immature. His flirt game is strong. He is straightforward and it makes my heart go badump badump.

The office politics are actually interesting. Bae Ta Mi and Cha Hyun are unapologetically badass and I am here for it. I finally got what I wanted, she left the company and went to work for their competition.

Two episodes in and I am hooked. Fingers crossed it doesn’t go south. I don’t want to drop it before, hopefully, getting to see if Jang Ki Yong is a good kisser. Not worried too much about who will come out on top with the office politics because Bae Ta Mi and Cha Hyun are a kickass team. I really hope Bae Ta Mi and Song Ga Kyung don’t mend their friendship at the end. What Ga Kyung did is unforgivable and to make matters worse she slapped Ta Mi. She can take a long walk off a short pier.

I put aside all my K-dramas and binged C-drama Murphy’s Law of Love. All. 31. EPISODES. My eyes are burning and I’m dead tired. So happy I don’t have to be at work until after noon.

You mean the Taiwanese Drama, right? Asking because I don’t know if there was a Chinese Remake. Was it worth it?

There wasn’t a clarification on my Netflix app on my smart tv. Wherever they speak Mandarin.

I liked it until the very end. I get burned every single time.

I vaguely remember seeing it. Is it about two people working across the road or in the same street?

    1
    1

Yes. One worked at a matchmaker business and the other ran a divorce party business.

31 episodes?? Where did you watch it?? The original cut version I watched only had 19 episodes
But yay!! I’m glad that there’s another Beanie who loves it as much as I do

Lol c dramas are so good to marathon. Just because you don’t even find yourself stopping from playing the next episode. I just completed Ten Miles of Peach blossom and loved it completely.

    2
    1

I have said before that I was done with C-dramas because I always end up mad. The editing and abrupt endings make me so mad not to mention most times they are unnecessarily long. I gave in and watched this one. I don’t regret it but I wouldn’t rewatch it.

      2
      2

I think the same. I, in fact avoided c dramas after the two I had watched in which i either constantly fast forwarded or skipped several episodes. They are long and stretched and then have a lot of fillers. But eternal love/ten miles of peach blossoms was such a pleasant surprise. I watched every single episode because it kept me invested so well. While searching for other dramas like this, I am rather finding that it was a rare case. If you haven’t yet, check this on Netflix.

Hehe, I feel exactly the same way about Cdramas but yet I come back to watch others. 😂
But that’s probably why I stopped caring for Dilaruba(?) cause I was getting too mad with the dramas’, the writing and editing. And complete pure cheesiness. It was too much! But why do I keep coming back?😂

        1
        0

Yep did the same thing but with the C-drama The Legends. I bingewatched to the point of just waiting for new episodes. ~so tired but no regrets. 😅

Is the lack of comments for One Spring Night recaps because no one is watching or Netflix’s ridiculous U.S release strategy?

What is going on with the bots this last 24 hours? There are so many wall posts that Beanies are just a few per page. Technology is a trip. How do bots make accounts to post on the wall? Tech Beanies, is there a way to make a bot that removes bot accounts? Whoa…I just had an I, Robot flash.

Mary said that she has been super busy and hasn’t been able to do her usual daily sweeps and unfortunately if she tightened security to prevent them from posting it would also affect our ability to post content. Poor Mary has her hands full 😭

I did some cleaning yesterday, and the new spammers are actually gmail accounts so they might be real people actually copy-pasting stuff. 🙁

        1
        1

Like those people whose job it is to “like” or “comment” on social media accts, wow.

          1
          1

It’s kinda sad how human psychology + how we use internet created those jobs :'(

            0
            0

The tech that removes bots or stops them from spamming is the spam filter. It’s just that it’s not accurate and needs human intervention. 😭 It has three levels of response:
    1. Auto-delete stuff it is sure is 100% spam. (We never get to see these.)
    2. Put stuff it thinks is spam in a spam folder. (Admins can see these and unspam them if incorrectly filed.)
    3. Allow a comment through if it thinks it’s not spam.

If there were no spam filters, you’ll be seeing something like 500-1000 spam from lvl2 every day. (That’s the amount we sift through manually just in case a real beanie gets stuck inside by mistake!)

Lvl3 numbers are more tame. Maybe 500 a day..? That includes all the fanwall posts and replies and blog comments. We also sift through these in case a spam gets through by mistake.

If the spammers have a recognizable pattern, I change the spam filter to detect them. But they change their tactics too so the cycle repeats itself.

We can also add new tech to the site that will make spam detection easier, but I’d need to drop all my duties for maybe 1 month to work on it which isn’t feasible. ☹️ So we’re locked in an endless battle with spam for now, only fighting small fires as they pop up.

Thankfully, they post stupid links that beanies won’t click. My nightmare is eventually the spam-makers will learn to manipulate beanies and start posting fake clickbaity urls like “Sompi article: Song Jae-rim marries long-time fan Mary” 😱

Only on ep 3 and we can see why Wang Joon broke up with DaDa and that he isn’t a complete asshole like we are first lead to believe. That was faster than I thought it would be.
