Per your request, you can read a blurb I wrote in November in the comments.
(Please have mercy, it is my first time publishing something not K-drama related :O)

She fired an arrow that missed the tree trunk entirely, instead it lodged itself into one of the tree roots in the shadows. She cursed and prepared another arrow, until a voice from the shadows startled her. “I suppose you were not aiming at my foot, since that would make you insubordinate and a better archer than we both believe you are.” She dropped her equipment with a gasp as she noticed her mentor laying against the side of the tree trunk, the arrow but a few inches from his boot.

“My apologies sir, I did not notice you.” “No, you usually do not.” He muttered to himself and let out a groan as he sat up against the trunk. She peered at him with a mix of confusion and worry. “Are you hurt, sir?” “Not by your arrow.” He sighed and gave her a weak smile. She was about to enquire further when she noticed the bottle by his side. “You should not practice this late, go get some rest.” He admonished her gently. “You should as well if you are hurt.” She quipped back and started walking back towards her equipment.

^_^ Thank you for sharing your words chingu! I enjoy the characters ~ the protagonist seems earnest, if still in training hehe

I had watched some clips from Mulan and My Country and suddenly this wrote itself 😛
Thank you for your nice comment, I hope it can inspire you to keep writing! 😉

          Ahhh I can see it!

I’ve ended up writing only a few pages this November, just journaling instead of story telling. I did find a few hand written stories that I enjoyed finally typing up and posting on my writing blog, so that made me feel somewhat accomplished 😅

Oh how lovely! I have so many questions about these people. What age group is this for? It feels YA. What time period is it? Because they are running around with arrows and thats not an every day occurence. What is she practicing for? A war? A contest? Is this being published somewhere? If he knew she was practicing and he knows that she’s not very good why is he standing where he’s standing? Or was he there first and she didn’t notice and started shooting arrows all willy nilly? AND IS HE HURT? Or is it just the bottle of whatever he has?
I’m sorry. This wasnt directed towards me. But, I really like stories and I couldnt help but read it.

@isthatacorner Oh please do not feel excluded! These sweet Beanies asked me to publish something and tag them, and I could not refuse (publishing is scary, so I was hoping this post would fly under the radar to avoid criticism). Thank you for your nice comment and I am glad to know that you enjoyed reading.

As for your questions…I have blurbs, but they refuse to make sense. 😛 It will probably be YA, time period = no idea yet. This is only published on my fan wall. She was merely practising (because she is bad at it) and did not notice her trainer, who was there already. He is drinking to nurse his broken heart. It is complicated. 🙂

Well, see now I have more questions. His broken heart? WHO DID IT? Why? Who exactly should I be shipping right now because I am ready to beat up the person who broke his heart. Just. Lets go. How DARE you sir/madam? I already like your characters from the tiny bit you posted. If you ever post more, please tag me! I’m already so curious.
