Oh that seems close to that guy who was interviewed- the one who said “Go Up” is his fav… I love that Winner boys interacted with ppl on the balcony seats 💙

It was hilarious. They couldn’t hear a damn thing the guy said even when the audience tried its best to be quiet. He was in the next section over. I think I will remember the dudes name forever since he must have shouted it for a good 5 minutes and Yoon still couldn’t make it out clearly. Amar, the dudes name was Amar. Hahahaha.

I went to their LA show last night, so much fun and they’re so good live! My favorite part was when the crowd joined in on teasing Yoon by calling him big sexy guy after Mino started it 😂

They were so good live right?? Lots of fun indeed!!! I love when they tease each other.

The WINNER concert was so fun and energetic. Lots of laughs, screaming, and singing at the top of my lungs!!! They played some old songs along with the new and even projected the fanchants on the screen for some songs – a real sing-along!!

Yoon speaks amazing English (I did not realize his fluency till this moment) and really interacted with us. We tried to follow his command to “be sexy people” for his solo song which needed a “sexy vibe” 😏😜 lol.

I really hope they enjoyed playing and visiting San Francisco (despite the ill timed rain) and come back soon!!!

Ooh. I’d love to attend a winner concert too! 😊😊😊

    Looks like so much fun!

Awww I am so glad you had a great time!!! Yoon’s “sexy vibes” for Instinctively are always fun hehe and yes the boy learnt all this English in less than one year just so he could interact with the audience on the world tour! He is a bit of a genius!

They did have fun playing around and what was best was that even though fans recognized them on streets, they still kept a safe distance so the boys could have fun and weren’t haggled! I am so thankful for that! Yoonie was moaning about the weather on Twitter but then once it cleared a lil he was happy 😊

Yoon learned a new word from us – “authenticity”. It was in the message on the back of the banners. He could only say “authen…” before stumbling reading the rest. It was so cute. The crowd was yelling the pronunciation to little avail since it came across as a jumble of sound. Hahaha. We tried Yoon. We tried.

It was legit bad timing. The ONE storm heading our way just had to hit the evening they arrived. Knocked power out everywhere – except SF!! They were lucky! 50,000 people in the Bay Area were without power. It took over 24 hours for them to restore power at my dads 😑

But SF is so beautiful even in the fog and rain. I loved that they went to Pier 39 and saw the sea lions and the Golden Gate Bridge and did all the classic touristy stuff. Plus, I am glad to hear that fans were respectful.

      1

Hehehe yeah it was so cute when he used “authenticity” in his post-concert tweet and asked if he is using it right! He is just so adorable!

I mean Winner are called ‘rain men” because they always bring rain with them! 😂 The funniest thing was Seattle- the rainy city- had sunlight when they reached! 🀣 But since debut, they have had just so many outdoor events in rain! It’s a Winner thing 😛

        2
        2

          Hahahahahaha. Poor boys.

          2
          0

They hit a rare day in Seattle for sure. We often have a little sun, but a stretch of sun in the winter isn’t the norm.

          0

It was funny that Seattle was sunny for them and SF was rainy. Imagine their disappointment if they return and expect the same.

In the wake of the DF news: *shakes fists at TimeWarner and ATT and fixes the evil eye upon them* – I hope the Dept of Justice wins its appeal!!!! Mwahahahaha!!!

Apparently I have been living in a nice little bubble the last 2 days. I didn\’t even bat an eyelash last night when I couldn\’t get DramaFever to play, just figured the server was down. Yeah…down FOREVER!! Leave it up to my dad to inform me a few minutes ago. He\’s all \”why didn\’t you tell me DramaFever shut down??\”, because I didn\’t know it shut down alright?

I feel bereft! What about all those shows yet to watch? Those movies I was going to get to? And most importantly Terius Behind Me??? Where to turn to now? Illegal sites? Kocowa? (I shudder at thinking about being forced to use that service). Viki is good and all but DF provided a lot of services that anyone else has yet to match. Sigh 😔

19

hahaha – since you missed it, there’s been a lot of discussion on the fan wall. I think if you go back a few pages you’ll find the fanwall bursting with it.

I came here immediately after I heard the bews to read and commiserate with everyone else. Can VIU become international now????

      3
      1

Oh my gosh, I have also been living in my own bubble like @UmbrellaMan….
What happened?!!? Why??!?!? I had so many dramas I was watching on DF. Like 100 Days, Beauty Inside, Devilish Joy!! What are we supposed to do???
I am shudder at the thought of having to use…. Illegal sites…

    3
    1

And most of those shows were DF exclusive!!!!! Kocowa has Terius Behind Me thankfully aka My Secret Terius on Kocowa. But Beauty Inside and 100 Days are I fear only to be found on illegal sites. TimeWarner I guess is tightening its ship after its merger with ATT.

      2
      2

so where the heck are we going to watch these dramas now???

the few sites i’ve tried keep pausing/glitching and not to mention the resolutions sucks… it’s frustrating as hell trying to watch something that freezes up every 5-10 seconds……

        grrrrrrrrrrrrrr……………

        2
        0

is viki an option? is it worth paying $8+/month to watch???

i used to do the monthly thing @ $3.99… but that was a few years ago.

        2
        2

Well for me it’s not worth it because none of the new shows I’m watching are there… 😠 πŸ™
          Sigh… I guess it’s pausing/glitching watching for this girl for now… ~cries

          3
          0

It depends on what country you’re in. Most of the shows I was watching on DF aren’t available in the US on Viki.

          2
          1

    Is kocowa not good?
I’m glad my cable tv airs most of the currently airing dramas and I use VIU too..

Watching Ping Pong Ball, a kdrama special. It\’s very good so far – quiet and contemplative. I really do love Ji Soo, him and Yoo Jae-myung are good as always in this.

Just saw that f(x)\’s Amber is having a solo tour and will be playing in SF. Of course that has to be the only sold out show! Too bad, would have loved to seen her- it would have been part of my plot to secretly make her my friend. Mwahahaha. 😂

I really enjoyed this article on BTS. I appreciated the author’s voice as an outsider looking in. Favorite line: “…holding oranges and preening at the camera in a way that made me reconsider if I had gone my whole life underestimating the sex appeal of fruit.” ^^ lol

I loved this article! Thanks for sharing! “With all of your senses properly obliterated” made me howl with laughter. Also completely agree that BTS (and K-pop) are an incredibly efficient financial scam – the money that is required is crazy.

Are there that many teenage fans? LOL

    5
    0

β€œIt’s clear they do not view themselves as a K-pop band trying to make it in the States; they are not a novelty. Rather, they’re a band from South Korea with a proudly global audience more focused on what unites them (read: BTS) than what divides them.” was one of my favorite bits! Thanks for sharing!!

There were little bits that made me feel weird, but I haven’t been able to pinpoint what it was yet. πŸ™‚ All in all, interesting article! Thanks again!

(And on the expensiveness behind being a fan… 😂 I haven’t bought a single thing but I’ve seen the prices. Mind-boggling.)

Nice article but I find it a bit condensing and prejudice by saying that most Armys are teenagers and here I am in my 30’s , proudly an Army , and by only talking about BTS as a brand in merchandising and not focusing enough on their music and lyrics and artistry .

    2
    1

At their concert, it really is majority of 20 somethings and teenagers. And media always paints ARMYS as young – because they are the most vocal and visible! They don’t have a real life yet. Hahaha. But, I met fellow 30 year olds at the concert too. One woman was even middle aged!!

“A BTS concert is Now That’s What I Call Music! live, performed by seven unbelievably talented, undeniably attractive guys.” Okay, the author has my official thumbs up 👍😁

Also, he is V Stan I think hehe ^^

Second favorite moment of the night. V’s extra cute, extra sweet “Happy Birthday” as they left the stage for the final time. Absolutely the best way to end the concert!

Suga was having so much fun! Best moment of the night was when he was talking to us at the end. β€œYeah I’m on the mountain, yeah I’m in the Bay” – the Bay Area!!! I screamed so hard! Then he did a cute little singsong dance. Ah, my heart! They all promised to comeback. Let’s hope it’s soon!!!!!!

For those not in the know, the Bay Area includes all the counties surrounding the San Francisco Bay in Northern California, which includes cities like San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland (venue location). @greenfields @sicarius
