Beanie level: Candy

This is random, but I’m looking for a new toner for my oily and acne-prone skin. The Benton BHA Aloe Toner I use doesn’t cause a breakout, but I also don’t think it helps much against acne.

This is what I use for the past few months:
    – Secret Key Snail Foam Cleanser/CosRX Low pH Good Morning Cleanser
    – Benton BHA Aloe Toner
    * CosRX BHA Power Liquid once every 3-4 days in the evening
    – CosRX Natural BHA A-Sol
    – Klairs Supple Preparation Toner
    * Tiam C20 serum (vitamin C; only in the evening)
    – CosRX Advance Snail 96 Essence
    * Sunblock for the day
    * Acne mask or sheet mask once every 4-5 days

I’m a CosRX fangirl, lol. Wondering if I should move up the BHA Power Liquid as daily regimen.

    Good luck with your quest😘😘
I only apply what my dermatologist tells me and alas it is all local products.
Sorry I couldn’t be of any help ❤❤

No problem, thanks for taking your time to reply! :3 I’ve been to dermatologists a few times, but it was on-and-off. I was not very comfortable with the drugs I had to take. Effective, but I’d like to try things which are safer in general.

Reading my list now I wonder if I use too much BHA products, lol. I also considered CosRX AHA/BHA liquid because I’m also looking to fix the acne scar and brighten the skin. I think vitamin C does a good job on that so far.

        You’re welcome ❤❤
Yeah it does, and very effectively at that.
When you say” the drugs I had to take ” you mean pills, right??! 😊😊

Yeah, I mean the pills I drink. Sorry for the confusion 😛 Last time I took antibiotics for around 3 months. I do think it helps to decrease the acne I see these days. Imagine how many bacterias my skin used to have 😡

Ah, I thought she gave you vitamin A pills like retinol or retinoid or other commercial names cause it’s very effictive but must be used with cautious.
Didn’t occur to me that she gave you antibiotics 😋😋

The ones that work for me against acne are:

    1) innisfree’s Bija line
    2) The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid (not a toner but a cream that I use around twice or thrice a week at night in place of a moisturizer)

I find reissue’s IG account (https://www.instagram.com/re_issue) very informative when mixing and matching skin care products. I also find the reviews posted very helpful when trying new products.

Good luck and I hope you find the right products for yourself.

Glad I’m not the only one! How did you find them?

I used to be REALLY into J-pop (still am but not to the same extent) so I just kind of knew them, you know? I don’t remember what video I first watched but it was around 2012.

I can totally relate. I was a crazy anime fan years ago, but the passion had died down. The same goes with K-drama, so to say, so I only take a few series at a time. Songs are even more limited than that. I’m pretty behind on Goose house’s discography actually, the last album I listened was LOVE & LIFE.

The \”Breakout Performance\” question in the Beanie Polls has to be the most painful question of all. So many rising talents to appreciate, not enough options, not enough chances!

I hope I\’m Not a Robot will be a fun ride. I also watched Black Knight and– *zzzzzzz*
Now between Jugglers, Two Cops, Doubtful Victory, and Wise Prison Life, which one to try first~?

Personally, I always check out a drama by myself because asking someone else tends to be bias. But if you are asking me, I’d love to recommend Doubtful Victory, or maybe Wise Prison Life 😃

Same with me.. I really appreciate recommendations but I prefer to check by myself because I sometimes have different kind of taste and preference lol.

Do you have a lot of time right now? If yes then I say watch all of them, 2 or 3 eps for each drama and then decide which one you like the most. Or read a few recaps about those dramas and proceed from there.

All of four drama you stated are fun to watch. If you are having a hard time to choose and don’t have enough time to watch everything, maybe can choose drama which you love most of the casts first. Wise Prison Life might be better to be checked sometime later, as the subs is kinda late. (not sure if it is better now).

@keiru @Sera The Ms Temper @hanie Thank you for the answers! I understand that tastes can be different. That’s why people give reasons when they recommend titles, no? 😉 I can manage to watch 1-2 series every day, so I guess that’s quite a lot? Haha. My schedule varies, though, so does my free time.

Good point on Wise Prison Life; looks like it’s better to watch when all the subs are out (like the Buamdong Revenge Club). I guess I’ll set it aside for now. If I’m going to choose based on the actors, I’d go with Two Cops because Jo Jung Suk is love.

I guess I wanted to know which series catch the most interest in its first few episodes. Judging from the recaps, though, looks like all is fun on their own. Which ones do you guys like the most so far?

As I’ve also set aside Wise Prison Life, between Jugglers -Two Cops – Doubtful Victory, I choose Jugglers because I kinda tired with thrillers and legal drama, and at the end it feels repetitive.

Jugglers doesn’t have anything new in term of plot, but well-acted and fun to watch. At least this drama made both male and female leads are competent at their job and I love it because I dislike when kdrama makes the female lead less value than the male lead.

Two Cops worth checking for Jo Jung-seok and rookie actor Kim Sun-ho who are carrying the show together so far. It’s enjoyable so far thanks to the performance of these two who somehow can elevate the writing.

Doubtful Victory is underdog story and lead guy is using other person’s identity. It’s pretty good so far in my opinion.

That’s a good plan. From all sub-types of legal drama, I actually like the ones featuring detectives the most. As the frontline, it’s just more fun to follow them going after the criminals. Office drama, on the other hand, is hit-and-miss for me. I’m not a big fan of the genre, thus me struggling to finish Misaeng’s 20 eps. Chief Kim was another exception. I guess I’ll give it a try before making a decision.

It’s also kind of assuring(?) to see that I don’t see many comments/questions about Black Knight, lol. I thought I was the only weird one.

The last time I got this lazy was when Goblin ended and my heart was too full (or too empty?). This time it was you, Because This is My First Life!

Damn drama slump. /sighs

Are you me? But this is why I have a list about 20 dramas long that I haven’t watched but intend to—first up, Forest of Secrets!

I don’t even look at my to-watch list anymore. It won’t get any shorter no matter how many dramas I watch, lol. Forest of Secrets is definitely on the list. It’s the only one from the Beanies 2017 chart that I haven’t seen. Live Up to Your Name too.
