Ok, I’m glad I caught up with STOVE LEAGUE because this show is piping hot now! This is the first time I’ve seen mandatory military service treated with all its problematic aspects in a drama.
It just keeps getting better. Also, I’m glad they drafted him, because he’s not exactly difficult to watch.
But on a more serious note, I also like how they are not simplifying the military service problem. His situation was/is complicated by multiple factors, and public opinion will want to paint it as a black and white issue when it’s anything but.
I looked for Episode 6 today and there was none. 😭😭😭
I was really irritated by that last question at the press conference: “Couldn’t he apologise to the Korean public by enlisting now?” Lady, he’s not even Korean! It was like she hadn’t listened to previous answers and just wanted to get done dirt on him. Ugh. I was so mad.
I know the issue is really sensitive and important for SK, so I admire the show for tackling this in such a nuanced way. I guess we’ll have to wait until next week to see what happens.

Yeah I want to see what they do about that the next episode. Sadly they had only one episode this week and I have to wait another week.
