    I was about to post about something about WWX and LZ, Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. This drama is messing my mind.

      Go on! Do it! Until we move on… Who knows when that will be? Haha

        It’s been a week and I still cant let go. Didn’t help that me and my mom were gushing back and forth to each other over text about the drama today, and giggling over gifts and videos yesterday. And now we have plans to rewatch it together (we had watched it separately the first time) 😅 this drama will take a long time letting go.

          I need a daughter.

          My husband took a glance at my screen and gasped in horror – You’re watching this??? Men in long tresses and robes, flying around, playing flute. He will never get it.

            My stepmom and I were gushing about Ashes of Love during breakfast and my dad told us off, not to talk about it and were both shocked and then laughed him off. Haha

            My husband watches certain types of Asian or Chinese movies with me. Recently we enjoyed Zhang Yimou’s Shadow, a fusion wuxia but no pretty boys. He’d find WWX and LZ too ‘feminine’

            I’m going to try and get my little brother to watch with us. He enjoys dramas here and there, especially the romantic ones, but he’s not as huge into dramas as me and my mom. But most of my family just deal with mine and my moms Asian drama obsession at this point.

          @trinpie Ain’t your little brother cute 😀

          Blast my bad memory but somehow I had this idea that you live in Asia or you’re Asian – you mentioned quite a few C dramas. Because I wonder if your family don’t get your drama obsession in general or is it because it’s Asian dramas.

            Ya, my brother is adorable. He is such a romantic and gets so giddy over the sweet romantic dramas.

            I’m American and am as pasty white as they come. I just love kdramas and cdramas and managed to pull my mom and lil’ bro into my obsession 😅

            Haha…who says men or boys can’t like romantic dramas?

            Thanks for answering my question. I may be generalising but men probably don’t watch dramas as much as women do and if they do, I got this feeling that they don’t usually venture outside their own. An Asian man would have been exposed to American TV because those have been around for the longest time but I can’t see an American man watching a Korean or Chinese drama.

            @outofthisworld He was almost exclusively raised with a mom and 3 sisters so he is not your typical ‘manly’ man. And me and my sisters are very against sexism, racism, homophobia, etc and helped install these same thoughts into him while he was growing up (I’m 11 years older then him). And the end result is a much more open-minded person who isn’t ashamed to like what most American men typically refer to as ‘girly’. But we both watched our first kdrama together and became addicted together (Boys over Flowers). We locked ourselves in a bedroom and binge watched it over a single weekend haha. I just continued to remain more addicted then him. Every other weekend me and my mom get together to binge watch dramas together and he will watch with us like every other drama.

            @trinpie

            Thanks for sharing! You make me envious. My sister is 11 years older than me and we never watched anything together, maybe one or two movie. Growing up, we were just at different stages of our lives. But you just showed that it’s possible. I did watch dramas with my late mother and it was quite fun. We didn’t spazz over guys because when I was growing up, those dramas she watched didn’t have any good looking actors or at least I didn’t find them attractive! We did do a lot of hair tearing and cursing at the villains because many of the dramas were makjang. The stories were so formulaic but still addictive.
