Lee Eon picks his first post-Coffee Prince project

Actor Lee Eon, fresh from his role as dumb but lovable Min Yub in Coffee Prince (like I really need to identify him on this site, huh?), will be appearing in his first leading role ever, in an upcoming episode of Drama City. Because the long-running KBS2 show is an anthology series, each episode is a stand-alone story, so you don’t have to be a follower to understand the storyline of the episodes.
Lee Eon plays a guy who used to dominate local games of jokgu, or Korean kickball, but who’s now just a has-been who teaches soccer at a small sports center. (Jokgu, as far as I can tell, is a rather hardcore way of crossing the mechanics of soccer with the rules of volleyball. Yeah, I don’t get how it works either but it looks both fun and painful.) He happens to meet a little kid Jinwoo at a nursery school, and resolves to win a jokgu competition to save the school with the prize money.
The Drama City episode airs on October 13.
