Everyone’s favorite voice Lee Seon-kyun (Triple) has again teamed up with famous songwriter Yoon Sang for the latter’s latest music video, which takes scenes from the former’s new movie, Paju. The film, which co-stars Seo Woo, happens to be earning good early buzz at the currently running Pusan International Film Festival.

The song is Yoon Sang’s “Inside Eternity” and comes from his sixth album, which was released in August. The song’s moody, mellow vibe is said to match well with the dark drama Paju, wherein Seo Woo plays as a young woman who falls for the man who she believes may have killed her sister. Continuing the grand tradition of over-the-top, supertragic kpop music videos is this latest one starring actors Lee Min-jung (Boys Before Flowers) and Kim Seung-woo (How to Meet a Perfect Neighbor), for new male pop group December.

The MV was shot on the afternoon of August 17 in Yangju, Kyunggi province.

Park Yong-ha and Park Shi-yeon may have had a bumpy romance in Story of a Man, but they’re re-teaming for a Park Hyo-shin music video that will take them to Switzerland. Park Yong-ha agreed to take the job as a friend to Park Hyo-shin, while Park Shi-yeon agreed because of her good relationship with Park Yong-ha. (There are way to many Parks in this paragraph.)

The song is yet untitled but the shoots are planned to take place in Jungfrau, Switzerland. Given the slump in the music industry, it’s a bit unusual to spend the time and money on an overseas location shoot, but I suppose they’re pulling out all the stops with/for its three big stars. (One source calls it a “blockbuster” music video.) Director Jang Jae-hyuk had previously shot the “Nobody” video for the Wonder Girls, and singer Park Hyo-shin will also act in the MV, filling out the love triangle.

The story is the sort of awesomely tearjerky stuff that kpop videos are so known for: Hyo-shin and Shi-yeon are in love and living together when he finds out that he’s only got a short time left to live. After learning that his older brother Yong-ha had also loved her, he leaves behind a “sad, beautiful letter.” (Commence tears!)

Park Yong-ha is currently preparing to resume activities in Japan, while Park Shi-yeon recently joined the SBS variety program Family Outing. Story of a Man is currently airing in Japan and enjoying a positive response (no doubt aided by Park Yong-ha’s popularity there from Winter Sonata and as a singer)

Boys Before Flowers star Kim Joon (or Kim Jun), also known as the rapper of three-member pop group T-Max, is about to launch his first solo song. On July 7, he released the teaser video for his upcoming single, “준비 OK” — the title literally translates to “Ready OK” but is also a play on his own name, reading “Jun Be OK.”

The video shows Kim Joon putting on a tougher face than he showed as his gentle, friendly Woo-bin character in Boys Before Flowers, and also features BBF buddy Kim Hyun-joon.

Actress Shin Mina (The Naked Kitchen) has come out with her “project music video” and song collaboration with rock band Loveholics (watch/listen below).

The song is called “Miracle Blue” and features Shin Mina’s pretty, airy vocals (again, not the strongest singer, but they suit the feel of the music). The video was also made in conjunction with Calvin Klein jeans, which feature prominently in what I suppose we can call a branded MV — Shin walks around in different settings and occupations wearing various jean styles.

Meanwhile, Loveholics is planning on releasing their full-length album (their first after parting ways with Jisun) in August.

As announced, Mnet has (finally!) released the last two parts of the four-part F4 “After Story” music drama, featuring Ji-hoo’s (Kim Hyun-joong) and Jun-pyo’s (Lee Min-ho) segments.

Although the songs were pretty nice to listen to, the first two parts with Kim Bum and Kim Joon were rather disappointing, imo. Like those parts, the last two also featured mostly old footage cobbled together into a new video. I thought Ji-hoo’s was pretty lame (there have been better fanvideos), but at least Jun-pyo’s had a little bit of new footage.

SONG OF THE DAY

Lee Min-ho – “My Everything.” His pronunciation could be better (everyTING? ah, well, just pretend he’s going for a rasta accent) but I love how husky his voice is. I had no hopes for his singing voice (after his CF/digital single for Cass beer was so annoyingly overproduced with barely audible vocals), so this is a nice surprise. [ Download ]

First off, in case you were still wondering what’s up with the last half of the “F4 Special Edition After Story” music drama, for no explained reason the release was pushed back. (Parts 1 and 2 with Kim Bum and Kim Joon indicated we could expect Parts 3 and 4 to air on May 5, but they are now being released tomorrow instead, May 19.)

I’m all for milking that cash cow for all it’s worth, but really, is there anyone left who’s excited for news of yet another special to be released after Kim Hyun-joong and Lee Min-ho’s parts are shown tomorrow? Because another video is being revealed, with a “special package” album released on May 25.

Seeing as how the public has been so eager to welcome the F4 boys in photo shoots and CFs and new projects, they are putting out a 50-minute “making of” video of the special edition project, which will air on cable channel Mnet on May 19, 6pm.

CORRECTION! Sorry, I got more info from another news source. Making-of clip will be shown on May 19, along with the full version of the music drama. Special package album of Special Edition songs to be released May 25.
