I kind of love how overly dramatic Big Bang’s TOP and Seung-ri are in these photos from their latest project, the Korea-Japan omnibus telecinema co-production.

Their installment of the ten-segment television-and-film project is called “19″ and had an open set on their Seoul shooting location on May 20.

Seven installments in the telecinema production have been produced, and two more will follow this one. 19 is described as a suspense drama, and the plot focuses on three nineteen-year-olds who run away together following a murder. It will air on SBS in the fall.

Kang Hye-jung (Herb), Park Hee-soon (Seven Days), and Big Bang’s Seung-ri are out with a new movie, Why Did You Come To My Home? [우리 집에 왜 왔니], which opens on April 9. (Watch the trailer below.)

At first glance, the movie looks as quirky and wacky as you might expect from the casting (Kang’s got a history of playing oddball characters and is known for being rather offbeat herself): Kang plays a homeless woman, Park’s the hapless man into whose home she barges in, and Seung-ri’s the neighbor she kidnaps.

Pop idol Seung Ri is less Big Bang and more Big Bang Theory (CBS) — “reading” his book upside-down here — in his lead role in the just-opened musical Sonagi (Shower).

Seoul, April 10, 2pm, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, M Theatre. Performance runs through May 5. More musical info here.
