To find the criminal mastermind behind this week’s mystery, our cast will have to piece their clues together on an eerie ship before they go missing themselves. It’s so chock full of secrecy, deception, and intrigue that every turn will leave you with more questions than answers.

Late in the night, a messenger drops off a mysterious envelope in front of our members’ doors. One by one, they open their cards to read their message: You’ve been invited to a treasure ship stationed in Busan. Find and claim the treasure for your own.

Jae-suk is suspicious, with memories from Hong Kong still fresh in his mind. “That’s it? There isn’t anything else?” He’s got a point– the cast has every right to be wary of the nefarious RM staff and whatever they’ve got up their sleeves.

EPISODE 77. Broadcast on January 15, 2012.

All that running from last week’s episode must have worn everyone out as they blissfully dream the night away. Dawn breaks, and a melodious morning song streams into their windows, beckoning them awake.

But this isn’t just an ordinary wake-up call – someone’s singing live: singer IU, giggling and dancing to awaken the cast. I’m just impressed this girl can carry a tune at sunrise, let alone with such energy.

What I’m more amused by is the cast’s reactions from Mung Ji-hyo‘s disheveled appearance to Jae-suk and Haha madly brushing their teeth from the window. The real kicker is Sung-soo, who rushes outside with a basket in hand to give to IU.

It’s the Christmas Special on Running Man this week! What happens when the Running Men get superpowers? It’s Survival of the Fittest – who will be the ultimate superhero?

Merry Christmas Running Man! We meet up with each of our cast members who receive a special invite to a RM Christmas party at a secret location. It’s a couples-only event, so find a date!

They’ll need to procure one by sharing a pair of gloves. Simple math tells us that out of 7, one person will be left out. Which means there be lies, betrayal, and broken hearts up ahead. Approach with caution!

Ji-hyo mentions that she’ll have to pair up with Gary – it is Monday, after all. Say Ji-hyo, you look mighty pretty today. Is it for Gary, perhaps?

With 12 hours left on the clock, everyone heads to bed, exhausted after a full day. In the night, a staff member roams the hall and places the tag on the door which carries the real medal.

It’s late but Kwang-soo peeks outside to check where the tag is hung. Confirming that it’s outside Jong-kook’s door, he tiptoes back to his room, when Yong-hwa appears to check for the tag himself.
