I wish we weren't so close to the end when the tide began to turn! I am loving these scenes where Evil Grandpa and Evil Mom get foiled by Dad and the kids!

The reveal in this scene though hahaha Grandpa's face when he faced a bigger conglomerate. I keep forgetting they're not really part of the top corporations yet and the reason they're trying hard to be so snooty is they want to get IN to the VVVVVVVVIP club.

I understand that Grandpa has to be the villain, but I don't understand that mentality. His lust for more and more success while warping his daughters and trampling all over the rest of the family - it's so inhuman, it's hard to believe in. If he was so fixed on wealth and success, why did he ever let No Myung Hee marry an ordinary guy?

I'm also wondering, are the rest of the family going to get together with Do Kyung and Secretary Yoo and make one fabulous middle-class company together? Tae Soo, Ji Tae, Ji Ho, Ji An, Hyuk, Papa Choi and Seo Hyun?

Ah, I like that picture! They'll build a network of companies: Ji-ho and Seo-hyun for RTW fashion, Ji-soo's baked goods, Ji-an and in-law Hyuk's furniture. Do-kyung and Secretary Yoo will do the admin part.

Papa Choi has yet to find what he likes. Probably a rabokki restaurant?

Regarding Grandpa and Myung-hee, Grandpa used to be poor so maybe, when Myung-hee was growing up, the "level" of rich husbands-to-be available to her aren't a lot so Grandpa let her marry anyone. The stakes are higher now though.

Only three weeks left to pull it off, though.

Sometimes, this is my question: the Grandpa started his business from the scratch by selling fabric in the local market if my memory serves me right. But then, he succeeds to open a company. So, he's not a chaebol (yet) at that time.

But then, the Haesung family thinks that they're so great, and all the kids my follow the Grandpa's rules such as study abroad and married another rich family. Man, the Grandpa should be really forgotten who he was.

Someone needs to slap him with a reminder of his origins (the way Papa Choi shook Myung-hee in ep 42).

Right! Someone needs to do that! I really hate grandpa. My blood boils when he appears on my screen. How could he crashes everything DK was doing????!!!!

I'm really curious that at the end, Papa Choi will also quit the company. He's so miserable over the years... :(

@lemoncello in my *pushes up glasses* 10+ years study of dramaland chaebol dynamics, Haesung group will soon be in Deep Shit™ and Do-kyung will be the one to save them, using the contacts/expertise/know-how he collected while living away from home. And Grandpa will acknowledge that there are merits for acting non-chaebol-y, if only to preserve their chaebol status for longer.

Hi @mary, I can't reply your last comment. So, I'm just gonna write here...

With 10 episodes left, I hope that Haesung Group will hit the rock bottom. Everything is possible in Dramaland. :)
