Wall: 1, Jae Hee: 0

Owww.

While at work filming his current KBS series Three Dads, One Mom on May 11, Jae Hee was injured and required nine stitches. Ironically, the scene he was shooting took place in a hospital.

In the scene, Kyung Tae (Shin Sung Rok’s character) is stabbed and Jae Hee’s character rushes him to the emergency room. While waiting for his friend’s surgery results, he becomes overcome with anger and strikes a wall in frustration.

Apparently Jae Hee was a little too immersed in his work and hit the wall with too much force, “tearing his hand.” Luckily, he didn’t have to travel far to receive emergency treatment, and received nine stitches.

But rather than taking time off for his injury, Jae Hee continued with the shoot. Neither is this the first time he’s displayed his serious work ethic; previously, he’d injured an arm in a bicycle chase scene (lol) and continued filming despite it.

Jae Hee’s always seemed like an actor who takes his job extremely seriously (despite some unfortunate role selections), so I’m not too surprised to hear this, although nine stitches? In one hand? Yeesh. It’s just too bad the two actors immersing themselves into this drama can’t make up for the other two who aren’t.

Awwww Poor baby.. I so adore Jae Hee.. I agree he's genuinely into his work .. Unlike other actors he tend to have a down to earth type of personality (I'm hopelessly in love with it) .. celebrity or no celebrity it feels like you can always hold an actual conversion with him.

Well, apparently he's not the only one getting himself injured while filming. Jo Hyun Jae managed the same feat the day before:

Ouch! I can only imagine how bad the injury was for him to need nine stiches. I totally adore Jae Hee really enjoy watching him, but this drama is just too much for me :(. This kind of news only make me like him more :P! Thanks posting this article.

I haven't been following the series at all, which two actors fall into each category?

That's really surprising, because in the little bit I've seen of the drama, even Jae Hee didn't seem his usual dynamic self. It's like all the actors are oddly stifled.

I hope he didn't injure himself further by continuing to work... seems like 9 stitches would be too much bleeding to go on!

awwwww! he's such a professional. as much as i love jae hee, i can't bring myself to watch three dads, one mom. i think his talent is wasted on this drama :(

i'm guessing Jae Hee and Shin Sung Rok are better/immersed in their roles than Eugene and Jo Hyun Jae, i agree with that. too bad or maybe good that it seems like the latter 2 will end up together, although i haven't been watching after ep3.

Aw poor Jae Hee!
Yeah I only wish he'd take better roles. I really like him alot. No guy has made me cry in a drama like he did in Delightful Girl. Hes one of my favorite Korean male actors.

Well, it seems that Jae Hee isn't the only one who managed that feat; JHJ also got himself injured in the face the day before.

As for the drama, I'm glad I didn't avoid it after reading your review... 3D1M is actually pretty good as the characters grow up. It has a different tone from Who Are you, of course, but then again, I almost stopped watching Who are you because it annoyed me to no end during the first four episodes...
But tastes are different, and that's a good thing. :)

Despite earlier observation, three dads one mom is different and not what we thought it would be.

I agree with Javabean's comments about things repeating three times (though differently) for the three dads - which could be annoying. Its storyline is however not quite what we think. The focus is on the family relationship among the leads in this very odd setup and on how the three guys become a dad which in turn change how they see themselves and their life. From this perspective, it does live up to its title. It does not take the romantic turn as anticipated. It is more than likely that Eugene will not end up romantically with any of the three - a turn garnering support from soompiers. With only 4 episodes left, how it will pen out is anybody's guess.

And Jae Hee is great in this, with the bothering nasal thing only lasted for the first few episodes. He is becoming THE best dad of three, even surpassing Shin Sung Rok in the 'lovely' department.

3D1M isn't really all that bad... i initially wasn't to pick it up because of javabean's initial review... but it turned out to be ok. i kinda found the whole premise of the 3 guys working together to be ONE great dad for Ha Seon to be cute and entertaining.

Hmm, I'm still rooting for JHJ and E's characters to end up together... I certainly do not like that Button Guy... something about him irks me.

I never watched three dad and one mom. I was thinking about it, but when Javabeans panned it I just left it alone. J-drama and some well-loved Kdramas are fine for me.

He can be serious about his work all he wants, and I like that, but do be careful. There's such a thing as pushing it. Nine stitches on the hand?! O.o wow. Committed indeed.

Jae Hee is seriously too cute for words....
But hes not just a pretty face. He has so much talent as an actor that it makes me cringe whenever I see him in these low-par dramas. Why isn't he going for better drama roles?! I really don't understand...
He should be in roles that are praise worthy...like his role in 3-Iron.

Yes, it is quite unfortunate that he doesn't chose better dramas to participate in. Hopefully his next project will be better >.

Jae Hee had actually posted this on his bulletin board on friendster, and it wasn't translated all that well, so I thought something really bad happened to him because all I could make out of it was

on the set, jae hee injured, hospital

so I was seriously worried... and then i searched and found this article and i was relieved that it wasnt a really serious injury.. but it mustve hurt really bad.

so if i ever meet jae hee, i might need 9 stitches... i might punch him for making me worry lol...

Ahhh nice. An actor who is really passionate about their work. At first I thought the accident was something humiliating: that he slammed into a wall by accident as he was walking or running. I hope the next scene doesn't involve real glass. Heheh.

JB is such a Jo Hyun Jae anti-fan!!! What??? She didn't even report that Jo Hyun Jae hurt his face (in the eye area) while shooting a scene with a supposedly drunk Shin Sung Rok??? Ah my poor JO HYUN JAE, the accident could have damaged his beautifullllllllll eyes!!! And he didn't even allow his injury get in the way of the filming schedule even if he looked awful (he looked as if he has a bad case of eye bags) onscreen.
To my fave actor JHJ, hang in there. You're a great actor despite the way some people trash you. And 3 Dads 1 Mom is a great drama if only because you graced it with your great acting skills.
Would you guys believe, even Shin Sung Rok love our JHJ that he even accompanied JHJ to the camp where JHJ reported for duty the day he entered the military!!!!!
