Just my silly suggestion, maybe JB no need to write anything about lee da hae anymore, she seems to have more anti than any other actress, don't know what she did in the past that make some people look down on her and even teach us (he fan) to learn more about her. For me, I really thank her for introducing me to Korea through her acting, not through her look. Through her also I know about Full House, Goong, etc... Since I'm really her great fan, so I prefer her in a low limelight rather than this. One thing she never lie about her look, the interview in 2007 was about her body, reporter asked her how she get the body, and she said she was born with it, maybe because of it people say she is a liar.

The majority of us are neither fans nor antis of LDH. People like me just see the news from our impartial perspectives. I think fans of LDH just refuse to consider that she is NOT PERFECT and there's always a remote likelihood that she might have had plastic surgeries regardless of JB article or not. You fans are just too blind and can't accept that she has flaws too. Is it possible that you are the one who is bias?? and not because we hate LDH? For your information, I don't think that LDH has the most antis. I bet my money on Song Hye Kyo and Choi Ji Woo for having the most antis!

I felt indifferent toward LDH but after reading comments from people like you, I now feel repulsed by LDH and I have no intention of seeing her future works. Her plastic surgery doesn't bother me as much as the comments from LDH fans.

If she truly didn't get plastic face, how come she hasn't came forward with her rebuttal statement??? silence means that she had plastic.

If one looks at photos of LDH as a child, it is pretty evident that she got her eye(lids) done (usually, one can tell whether eyelids are natural or not by whether they change shape and size when the person closes and opens her eyes a la Jeon Ji Hyun, Kim Tae Hee, Yoon Eun Hye, Shin Mina, etc.).

As for the lower part of her face getting skinnier, that may very well be due to the loss of weight (the shape of director James Cameron's face changed as a he got thinner).

The majority of males don't get surgery and while many women do go under the knife (primarily for the eyelid procedure; boobjobs still aren't common like in the States), a good portion don't since they don't have the finance or other reason.

You are looking at this from a Western viewpoint.

First off, many actresses and singers get something done at the bequest and expense of the talent agency, so it's not necessarily about "feeling better."

Second, the NE Asian double-eyelid is DIFFERENT from the caucasian double-eyelid and Asian women want to look like Asian women w/ such features, not caucasians (for instance, Hyori's eyes are much desired and no caucasian woman has that upturned, half-moon shape-eyes when Hyori smiles).

Third, caucasians are known for having lips on the THIN side (why do you think collagen injections are so popular?) and a desireable attribute found more commonly in NE Asians are high cheekbones - so does that mean a white woman who gets cheek implants and lip injections wants to look more Asian?

Fourth, most Korean men don't get surgery and many Korean male celebs do not have double eyelids (does this mean that only Korean women want to look "white"?).

Fifth, Korean/Asian women don't have naturally black hair. Over time, due to sun exposure, etc. - their hair turns a dark brown w/ some red hues. The women who have long, black hair do so b/c they end up dying their hair black.

Ouch! So much for thinking she's all natural. Old vs. new pictures are so different. It's almost like looking at two different person. 90% sure she had some works performed but can't pin point to what exactly. Hmm... eyes, nose, jawline (noway a jawline become sharpen/slimmer overtime - LOL). After seeing this, not sure if I'll see her the same as before.

I think she did her eyes bigger and her nose. Thats the only way her face (jaw line) would look smaller. What's wrong with her having her eyes and nose done? Every other actress does it.
I'm against plastic surgery if its going to change the way you look drastically. But if its to better your looks just a little, then I think its not that bad. Take Lee Jun-ki as an example. He had his ears done, now he looks way hotter!!!! lol and still is the same Lee Jun-ki.
The first picture of her looks a lot different from the present her, but when you scroll down to the other two pictures, then you can see that it is totaly her.
Again, I think she only had her eyes and nose done. And lost weight. But thats only normal in the entertaiment world.

The world of fandom continues to baffle me to no end.... perhaps it's just me (probably), since I don't recall ever being so crazed over an entertainer/ artist to warrant the term 'fan'. I may, for example, go the extra mile to watch a film or buy an Album because of the person, but that's about it. Even if Ju Jin Mo was scheduled to make an appearance walking naked down my street, I still probably won't bother having a look (okay, maybe for the naked part...).

Anyway, I digress. Whether LDH had surgery is really her personal choice and nobody's business. She does look better now and good for her. I'm not an anti-fan (how can that mentality actually spawn a word?!) but I have to admit she has never done much for me, both in her acting and in the dramas shes been in. The only sad element in these comments is the fact that something so mundane can generate so much debate and the fact that so many people get so riled up over someone else's life!

I think a more interesting aspect of this is how much coercion/ pressure was she placed under by the profession/ her managing company to have the wok done? Looking at the old photos, she was always pretty... It reminds me of a scene in 200lb Beauty in which the lead (Hana), having already undergone full body surgery and looking gorgeous, was asked to go under surgery for some more by her managers. Her response? 'Does that me you don't think I'm pretty enough?'

Plus I agree with JB. If you've had it done, it's best to either (A) admit it or (B) keep quiet and just wait till the whole thing blows over. To deny it is just creating more interest (like digging up old photos) by the media and shutting yourself in a position you can't get out of if it is proven you've lied.

I don't think da hae undergoes some surgery .. its the eyebrows that change . my eyebrows where actually thick and when we fix it Ive look more younger plus Im only 13 .. I'm not sure about surgery, but there are different ways to change like eating more vegetables, putting face or those new skin lotion and whitening lotion, losing weigth... my aunt use to be really ugly when she was 19 but now she's 23 and she change she's more beautiful her eyes are bigger and she gained some weight but just the right gained, she also fix her eyebrows..

Wasn't she born in 1984?

In 2001, Lee Dae Hae would be only 17 so she was still in high school. Didn't she lived in Australia for 5 years and graduated from Burwood Girls high school? Doesn't that means she was still in Australia in 2001?
Also it was taken in Korea which doesn't make sense in Lee Da hae's situation caz she lived with her family in Australia so she's unlikely to be in Korea at that time. Also there's her high school pictures online to prove that she looks the same and haven't changed.

Other than that she just lost weight, I suppose. She is super thin isn't she? My jawline became more prominenet too after I lost 50 pounds. It used to be as round as hers way back when.

Never a fan of her. Currently watching her in Heaven's Fate on arirang. She looked different comparing to herself in the most recent Chuno now. She definitely had some works done! Don't like her acting at all, I especially am annoyed by her character in Heaven's Fates. The story was interest at first but then it took a wrong turn down hill... Back to Lee Da Hae, something unnatural about her look, her acting, I just can't explain... Oh well...:-) I guess it just me! Sorry if I offended any of her fans.
