Lee Dong-wook’s stuntman turns actor

This is Jung Seok-won, a 24-year-old new actor who has been cast in Eugene‘s new weekend drama Creating Destiny. He takes on the role of a freelance cameraman and Ki Tae-young‘s friend. At the October 6 press conference for the drama, Jung explained that before turning to acting, he had been a stuntman and was hired to stand in for Lee Dong-wook. It was on that set that he first saw Eugene and took a photo with her, and now he’s excited to be working with her as an actor. (This must have been fairly recently with their 2008 movie Heartbreak Library.)
Jung also recalled his younger days when SES (Eugene’s old pop group) was a huge hit, when everyone carried around fan photos and paraphernalia. Of the group, he used to carry around Eugene’s photo: “I’m thrilled to be acting with her.”
Jung Seok-won has had small parts in drama productions like Brilliant Legacy, The World They Live In, and Working Mom, but already he senses the difference with this role: “In the past I would read the script and search through it, thinking, ‘When am I coming out?’ This time I don’t do that, and although I feel a bit of a burden, I feel very good.”

Don't see the resemblance, but I think he's better-looking than Lee Dong-wook!

Well, a stand-in doesn't HAVE to look like the actor he's replacing. He just has to be of the same built/height. From what I know, he literally stands in in the actor's place when the crew's checking things out (say, the lights, the camera angles etc). It's actually a pretty boring job for the stand-in...it's a job created to let the actors do other things.
Anyway, he wasn't bad in Brilliant legacy. We'll see if he can make it as one of the leads.

He doesn't look like Lee Dong Wook but I liked him as Hwan's friend in Brilliant Legacy. I think he was also in 2pm's Again and Again mv but I'm not too sure.

I don't think he looks like Lee Dong Wook... he's slightly more masculine looking. I thought he was cute in Shining Inheritance.

it sounds creepy at first cuz you think of him having the pic framed and him carrying it with him like it was his kid's baby pic...but It's actually not THAT creepy. i mean one of my friends had Rain and Jang Geun Seok plastered on the covers of her binders and she carried them around a lot. And i used to have a keychain with Jerry Yan's pic on it back when Meteor Garden was popular in Taiwan.
he doesn't look anything like Lee Dong Wook...but i feel like he can sort of pass off as other celebs.

I liked him in Brilliant Legacy...! I think he can make a good lead actor... I don't really care for Eugene though.

Probably from the old days of Loving You instead of Heartbreak Library, then?
I really liked him in Brilliant Legacy. He's got a potential in comedy. I don't think his acting is good enough to warrant serious/emotional roles, but he did really well in BL. He was quite natural.

creepy?? I used to have the biggest crush on NKOTB....I know, I know, I'm old....and had their posters plastered all over and spent lots of monies buying entertainment magazines from UK and US. That's what teenage fans do I suppose.
As for JSW, I thought he did quite a good job in Brilliant Legacy.
