I'm still not sure what to make of this drama. Acting is all right....story line is kind of far fetched....and adding 4 more episodes?

its good and enjoyable very simple and cute in a childish silly way with a bit of suspence and the cast is very endearing its my fav drama at the moment

Wow really? I thought it was going at a pace where it would wrap up pretty well. Though I can also see drawing out a few other storylines.

I only watched the first 2 episodes of BOTR and lost interest.

I just started watching Jejoongwon recently and this show is truly an underrated gem! I should have watched it sooner but Pasta, Wish Upon a Star, and Chuno was occupying all of my kdrama energy then.

Oh dear.. what an epic fail. I've been half-heartedly (no-heartedly?) watching this drama because of Ji Hyun Woo, but this drama is not worth extending. Extending it will only make it worse, if that's even possible.

I was thoroughly enjoying Pasta before the extension, and even I can agree that the four extra episodes hurt the drama overall. It's just a shocker to me that BOTR is in first place, ratings wise.

well BIRTH OF THE RICH has a certain kind of fans and iam one of them

the lead are very adorable togather in a childish way which is refreshing to me iam so sick of hottness hot guys and hot couples

LSY is very amuzing here i never thought i would like paris hilton but i love this character here

the leading guy has changed he is looking for his father now (not his RICH father) and is trying to making it on his own
which is a good message

When I first read the headline, I was pissed! I hate to hear of extensions but being that I have been watching this drama (albeit rather confusedly), I will admit that this is the first drama, I've ever seen, that I think will benefit from an extension. The way things are going now in the drama "fans" might need one in order to feel they haven't wasted their time.

So I say," Fine, KBS. Do you."

Well. Some people say 16 episode is not enough to wrap up the story. Well it means more tips how to become rich is available. Although it not give directly how to become rich but we have watch this drama properly to know the tips become a rich. Want made longer comment but do not have time.

This is not a bad news to me because I really like Choi Suk Bong and Bu Tae Hee. This drama is not very good but it's a long time since I last saw a man who is without money but confident and intelligent. CSB has a clear aim ( to find his father) and do a lot of things to gain it. He always says that his father is a chaebol but I don't think he's thirsty of money, "chaebol" is just a word he uses to identify his father.
I have to admit the storyline and some situations are not very good but BoRich is my priority each week.

I lost interest in this drama pretty fast, and judging by most of the rest of the comments it hasn't improved much since then.. LBY is much better in Harvest Villa. :/

Actually, the Wednesday and Thursday dramas didn't perform very well too, Cinderella's sister‘s rating was just as same as the Birth of Rich.
The birth of rich may not be outstanding in the whole, but I think Lee Shi Young is quite good in it. She’s the only reason I watch this drama...

I actually like this drama. The mystery birth was a bit distracting in the beginning, but now the story really make it work well with the plot. Looks like it is one of the those either love it or hate it kinda of drama. I myself fall in with the love it crowd. I am a bit skeptical about the extension but I think the story itself can actually handle it. At least is not like Smile, You where the extension was so long that it just lost my interest.

I don't like this drama, I have lost interest after episode 3.

Anyway, I’m not here to defend BOTR, I myself also find it slow and childish, but it's getting better in the recent episodes (if not much). But in my opinion, Personal Taste is as dull as BOTR, the only difference between the two is that the latter has an amazing cast.

Actually Cinderella's Sister is my fav among all these.

Yes I agree with U, the rating gap is wider for last night epi. Maybe in Monday, ppl tried to watch Dong Yi b'coz adult characters begin to show up since 4th epi but they decided Birth Rich still better. I like both DY & BR, but dunno why DY is keep struggling for it's ratings, not like MBC previous historicals.

This drama is growing on me, although it did take a while. An extension??? Well, I hope it works out. I am surprise that it is #1 though of all the dramas that air Mon/Tues in that time slot. Although "Oh My Lady" is in another time slot I actually like it more than BORM.

It is a real shame that Stars Falling From the Sky did not get an extension, because it really needed it.... plus I just missed those kids!

i don't care about ratings, i don't care if the story are original or not as long we smile and laugh i think its enough.

Im not suprised at all that they are extending this drama series. I thought at first that it's going to be predictable but as I watch every week, you just can't tell what will happen next.

I am enjoying this series. Light, funny and acting performances are waaay solid.

I absolutely love this drama. It was first rumored to be extended by 8 which IMO would have been a catastrophe. But I can live with 4. More Shin Me and Seok Bong.

Oh I am soooo happy. I was just commenting today as there was just too much negative stuff about this drama when really the other dramas that appear to be No1 don't really feed us anything different. I know, I know, we judge a drama from our own perspective. So this is mine...YAY!!!!!Does that mean the Eng subbing for it will be sped up? I'm trying my best watching it in Korean only, I mean when you really wanna know, you'll do what it takes:-)

I like this drama more than Personal Taste. Love Ji Hyun Woo and his portrayal of a poor guy looking for his chaebol father. LSY is so funny as Korea's version of Paris Hilton. She is so lucky after BBF that she played major roles in top rated (ratings wise) dramas like Loving You 1,000 X and Birth of the Rich. Twenty episodes is I think ok for a drama .I am just surprised that Dong Yi did not took the top spot as it is really good and interesting even with the kids in the earlier episodes.

Dong Yi is just started to warm up. it is normal for sageuk drama with 50 episodes to climb up the numbers of ratings at later episodes. from 15th place on 1st episode to 6th place this week. and the adults actor just show up, i believe the ratings will go higher later.

I think the main problem I have with BORM is that although Viikii has up to Ep. 10 subbed (Eng), the subbed episodes are license pending, making this drama extremely long.

Ep. 7 was release this week, along with 9 and 10, but 8 is still pending licensure, therefore, I have to wait because it does not warrant me skipping to Eo. 9.

I love this drama a lot ! and i like the fact that they're taking their time in this without the usual rush in KDrama THAT i'm really sick of it !!!

love this drama! i think its much better than personal taste or oh my lady, in terms of story and the main couple's chemistry, plus the paris hilton character gives some surprising hilarity (eg. the face stuffing of cake w/ her father). =D

I absolutely love this drama so a four ep extension doesn't seem so bad. On the other hand, I don't like watching long series (yes, 20 feels long for me), and I'm not sure if the plot can handle it without getting too boring so I'll see as it goes. If it gets too draggy, fast forward will become my friend but so far I love the lead couple's chemistry and it's really starting to build. I don't know what to expect either so it keeps me in suspense. For those that say it's childish, I'm gonna come right out and say most (nearly all) dramas ARE childish and for good reason - I watch dramas to excape or just relax; a realistic drama will not achieve my purpose. I just want a few laughs and awwws but no major sobs/anger and stuff like that.
Just my two cents~

also, being too analytic sometimes can prevent you from enjoying things
imo, this drama is meant to be fun and shouldnt be taken too seriously

Each episode has a new twist. I know it is a formula drama, but it's a good romp. Each week he finds a new guy he thinks is his dad, or a new girl he thinks could be his sister!
I can't watch it with English subs anymore on viikii because of the licence pending. I'm watching the raws, but there is only so much a non Korean speaker can pick up.
(I need to learn Korean, because all I watch anymore is their dramas)

good drama! not one of those ones that i usually get bored with after watching the first episode for 5 minutes. i can't wait until he finds his father!

glad this is being extended even though i hate being kept in suspense..
particularly like the paris hilton character.. really disliked her in the beginning but somehow she managed to win me over.. now i think she's just adorable.. the actress is really good.. i even like her better than the other female lead.

I love this drama. I love the cast, the storyline. Heck, even the singing works well. I'm so glad for the extension.

It's like a drama based from some shounen manga. We see things more from the perspective of the guy. I like it that the guy isn't that good looking and not the typical rich guy we see in kdramas. He's hardworking, charismatic, intelligent and outspoken... Plus I love the characters. Lee Shin Mi, how she's competitive, stands up for what's right and is a cheapskate. And also Bu Tae Hee, who despite being a noisy brat is so funny and is still kind-hearted.

Overall, this drama is something I'd recommend!

This drama is a surprise for me. I looked it up last weekend just out of curiosity when I read it here in Dramabeans that it had ended it's run in Korea recently.

My...what a joyful ride. Haven't finished it yet but I just love, love, love that character Bu Tae Hee. At first she IS irritating. But after a few episodes it's always her interactions with other characters that made the story fun and lively.

I also like the character Choi Suk Bong. He is fun, can think on his feet. He is tall and when he walk, he have almost the same elegant style of walking as LMH. :) People who are comfortable in their own skin is so attractive :)

I do like this drama better than PT(just to gawk at LMH) , OML ( CSW is a riot and that kid is cute) and PP (For KSY and the storyline).
But of course CS is still the best to me :)

i love shin mi and seok bong together! there's something about these two being together that is completely understated, yet so heartwarming and heartfelt.

and yes! i second (or third, or fourth) the recaps! :D

sooo in love with this kdrama...the main characters did their job well...it is funny and interesting to watch...hoping that there will be another good project for the 4 of them :-)

BOTR potrayed much better about the chaebol daily routine than other drama series.
Lee Shi-Young played well the character of Boo Tae-Hee, she made it alive. NGM is cool, he made it looks so real as young executive and as heir of chaebol in decision making.
Though this drama is slow and sometimes made sleepy, but the morale of the story is good.

I love to watch LSY x NGM scenes more than the lead couple. LSY play the boo tae hee character really well and NGM act well as cool and mysterious plot of protagonist character. He just perfect in that character. And really love..love..love...tae hee and won suk relationship...

i love Becoming A Billionaire !! Yeah, the title airing in Indonesia is BaB. But, it cut on 7th episode. very sad :'(
But, I still love Bing Bong!! :D
