I love the Podcast!!!
You gals are such an amazing team!!!

Given how unpredictable as Coffee House is, I am curious to know what do you think the ending will be like?
Open ending? story in the book , Sad/ seperated or Happy Ending? And If ever SY ended up with JS , how 'd you take it?

Thank you!!!

Looking forward for more ( soon?) ^^;;

my question is who is/are your fave sidekick/best friend in a kdrama? because like in personal taste whenever sangjun(have you forgiven him yet girlfriday?) and youngsun come together on screen i just have soooo much fun watching them. and how much i adore lee hongki's jeremy in YAB. just want to know who yours are... would be fun to hear you girls discuss how some sidekick/friend almost steal the show from the leads. thanks again for the podcast!

Comrades is great drama ,but Road number one hasn't received good review
bc we expect too much from it , i watch Road number one two time and i agree with most viewers regarding to acting skill of KHN , lead actress , so plain , no expression as LDH in Slave hunter and there is no chemistry between them as we expect ,if you remember in WS when Choi met Bae after two year her expression was so perfect , makes you cry but the expression of KHN when she sees SJS suddenly appearing from death is so plain , lack of sincerity which ruin whole love story there , but the actors, all of them act very good ,
Fortunately ,the main storyline involving people , soldiers during K war , not love story as WS , i believe this drama will be interesting as brotherhood of war , as Seoul 1945 , again in this drama love story is so dump too .

I'm so very glad I didn't watch Road Number One, because it sort of looked like one of those very desperate, over-exaggerated war dramas that are meant to induce weep-fests. It was interesting to know that there's another war drama airing at the same time. I liked how music was placed as a sort of buffer for each topic. I was wondering, what's the next glossary word for analysis? Maybe ajumma/ ajusshi? I'm always confused on whether or not that's offensive cause people tend to be sensitive about their ages. But the folks in dramas find it either endearing or nonchalant or something else... As a suggestion, I was wondering if it's possible there are polls to decide which topics you guys discuss, cause I'm a bit thrown off by what Javabeans and Girlfriday were talking about in this podcast. It was nice, and the last song by Park Yong-ha ended it really well.

Nyahahaha! I heard a cat meow in the background at around the 25-minute mark. It made me laugh xD

You made me want to watch Road No. 1! I need a good laugh :D I always stay away from war kind of stuff during the school year, after I watched Taegukki and cried my eyes out for hours. But now it's the summer! And I need another drama besides Coffee House to watch. And if I am afraid of another cryfest, I'm sure I don't need to worry about this one. (I have this weird thing when I want to watch things that have really bad reviews and feedback. It makes me more excited for those than others that have really good reviews and stuff. Maybe it's something I should fix.)

I really appreciated that one tidbit when you guys were talking about growing up in a bilingual household as a Korean American. I moved to Japan when I was like two, then to the US and Canada after that, so incidentally I grew up in a household that spoke both Korean and the language of whichever country we were in. From when I was about eight or so English started to dominate in our household, and so I have very mixed feelings about the two languages, you know? Eventually I started losing my Korean so I feel really bad about that. Watching dramas without subtitles helps me a lot, though I do have to refer back to your recaps to understand some things I didn't at first xD But ANYWAY, I totally know where you're coming from. I don't know anyone else who's in the same predicament as me, kind of clinging to my culture by the tips of my fingers, and not that you guys are or anything, but it just made me feel better. So thanks for that. (Plus thanks to you I learned some swear words that I would not have learned in any other way! :D Excuse me while I go give my father a stroke with my new vocabulary.)

Loved podcast. Love you guys! (I also echo previous commenters asking where girlfriday materialised from! We are very curious xD)

great podcast! I'm glad I didn't load it onto the iPod and listen to it during my commute though (like I planned on doing), I would've definitely laughed out loud during some parts... and that would've been a strange thing to do in public... by myself

You said that Gun-wook has no reason to hurt Tae-sung, but you're forgetting about how Tae-sung drove Sun-young (whom Gun-wook was pretty close to) to commit suicide.

Great podcast! A bit awkward at the start, but after warming up, you were both hilarious and very entertaining.

...I have a really stupid question I've been dying to ask for really long.

Both you and GF mentioned that you guys recap as you watch, and take screen shots. How...do you guys take the screen shots? Do you do it manually, like, pause the play button, do a print screen and paste onto some picture-editting programme...or is there actually a faster way to do this? I'm really sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I just have to know cos I used to do all my screencaps manually and I started wondering if there's a faster way...

(It's the biggest reason why I gave up writing reviews eventually LOL the screencap thing just killed me...)

Have to say I didn't finish the 1st podcast because the music was awfully loud and annoying (sorry for that). But for this one , finished it in no time. Choices of music is good and also the music's timing (music fading will be nice in some parts), the topics are more coherent this time. Please keep it up. I feel like listening to friends talking, enjoying the whole of it.

As for CH, been reading lots of comments and have come to the conclusion that it depends on the person's perspective and experience of love, and also the maturity level of love each person experienced thus far. The OTP relationship in CH is quite complex but their mutual feeling is always there and very consistent. It 's just how the writer will wrap it up at the end. If the ending is complete and satisfy, CH will be on my top list of the best 2010 Korean drama I've experienced so far.

Please don't be surprise, my rainy day drama is 'Which star are you from?' , although crappy, the face of Kim Rae Won brighten my mood every time.

Thanks you girls, very refreshing.

girlfriday... when you asked what will be our rainy day drama... i answered MNIKSS and then you said the same... i feel a connection. MNIKSS and Coffee Prince actually are my rainy day dramas. but MNIKSS was the first to pop up my head. i will FF though thru some of the scenes.

i love the scene of MNIKSS when she was leaving a message on the phone and she talked about her last moment with his dad on the airport... that always sends me to tears... my father has left this world years ago but the pain of loss is still there.

and one of my fav CP scenes is the beach scene, very good acting from GY.

Hi!! I am a big fan of your site. I absolutely loved this podcast!!
I just loved the way you designed it ,because somehow I felt that it was
very close to how I always talk with my friends over recent dramas,
just like all the K-drama addicts all over the world.
Since I'm Japanese, I'd love to listen to some more J-drmas VS K-dramas
talk, like about the differences in Boys over Flowers, God of Study,
upcoming Playful Kiss, You're my pet ..etcetc
Thank you for the upload !!!

Hi, just wondered where the 'aja aja fighting' phrase came from because I first heard it in Full House and have since been hearing lots of people using it. Did it originate from dramas or is it a common phrase Korean people use for encouragement?
Thanks, love the podcast, this is actually my first time listening to a podcast ever, and its quite interesting, so I'll be looking forward to your next ones.

uh double posting which i know is taboo on fanforums but i'm pretty sure is okay here (if i'm wrong...well...*runs away*) newayz, the podcasts are definitely improving. i put both on my ipod making these the only podcasts i have. newayz, i'm rambling and this wasn't what i wanted to say. I just wanted to say that I hope you cover my girlfriend is a gumiho in a future podcast b.c that drama is seriously stealing my hearts <3

and i have a question which hopefully will be answered in an upcoming podcast (if this is the wrong place to ask this, well *runs away again*), what dramas did you absolutely hate?

Just catching up now on the podcast, but I had to comment on the whole BOF/Hana Yori Dango platonic soulmate concept. Whereas, I agree that it was done rather clumsily in BOF, it was executed quite nicely in MG2. As HORRIBLE as that entire drama turned out to be, I appreciate the development in HZL/SC dynamic. Their relationship was sentimental and doomed in the prequel, but MG2 did a really good job of exploring the "soulmate/friendship" aspect of their relationship in an understated way (cause DMZ was out of the picture?). It was interesting how HZL easily understood all of SC's motivations at any given time and while SC seemed generally oblivious, there were instances where you could tell she knew what HZL was thinking on an instinctive level. That kind of dynamic just did not come across on screen in BOF. Regardless of it's redeeming points, however, I still can't forgive MG2. BOF was a better executed in my opinion, but MG1 was more of a heart-tugger on personal level.

This is probably a very late reaction, but I found your podcast rather late.

Just wanted to say that you totally got me when you mentioned Kim Sam Soon and Bad Family as your favourite rainy drama. It goes the same with me. MNIKSS is so far the best k-drama I have ever seen and which I watch repeatedly.

And the scene from BF you describe made me cry as well. It's not that the story of Bad Family is so brilliant (it's not), but the characters are and they work so fantastic together and I loved every episode for seeing their interactions. And everytime I have this funny mixture of bursting laugh and sentimental weeping :-) :) :-)
