I Am Legend adds Go Eun-mi and releases new stills

I Am Legend is gearing up for its premiere in just over a week (it’s a Monday-Tuesday show), and the cast has added another member in Go Eun-mi. She’ll play a has-been singer named Ran-hee, who was a rival of Seol-hee (Kim Jung-eun) back in their high school days when they both were hot young singers.

Since then, they’ve taken diverging paths. Seol-hee married into a high-society family (see additional photos below) and divorces after enduring an unhappy marriage. On the other hand, Ran-hee’s career now languishes after a successful period in her twenties, and these days she finds herself relegated to nightclubs and local event halls. I’m guessing that once Seol-hee reinvents herself after her divorce, the two ladies will once again find themselves in a rivalry.

Go Eun-mi has been in the dramas Age of Warriors, Pure 19, and Loving You a Thousand Times, among others. Like the other members in the “ajumma band,” she is determined to perform 100% of her character’s singing herself and is busy rehearsing. She has been receiving vocal lessons with singers Youme and Beige, the latter of whom is signed to the same management company as Go.

Meanwhile, below you’ll find leading actress Kim Jung-eun decked out in pricey designer threads as a Cheongdam-dong wife at a formal party. The scene is a law firm party for her husband (Kim Seung-soo), and in order to play the part of the trophy wife to perfection, Kim wears clothing and jewelry worth 200 million won ($167,000). Granted, most of that is in her necklace, which features diamonds and pearls and is valued at a reported 130 million won ($108,000).

All that aside, I think she looks lovely. (Much better than the fussy day look — the one with the hat — that she wears early on in the drama. Although I think the rock band persona is the clear winner.)

I Am Legend premieres on August 2.

KJE looks amazing, but WHY oh why must designers keep adding gladiator-style shoes to ruin the effect of a polished and elegant look? Also, her smile reminds me a little of Diane Lane.

@ Star, I'm with you and the comment about the shoes, what happen with the stylist??, the necklace is lovely, but I really don't like the dress and the shoes are a terrible combination. Hope the drama will be better with the band theme and the wardrobe. The actress is lovely.

oh! it's princess lulu!

im going to watch the first episode no matter what.

aside from the cast and the story, i think the key point of this show is the rock song. just like glee, i was surprised i finished the season having fun with the musical and asked myself what the story is all about. im not asking for a musical kdrama, all i want is a good song from these ladies.

Go Eun-mi is a truly beautiful woman that we never get to see enough of. The fact that no one has mentioned her in their entries is proof of this. I got to know her talents throuh the daily, 'As the River Flows, We'll Meet By the River' which starred Lee Pilmo and ran 198 episodes in 2006-7.. This was one of my earliest dips into the pool of Korean drama. I must say that none of these "ajummas" look remotely like the the ones I've seen shopping at the local Korean market!

@Star
Can't agree more than that. I think she looked lovely until I scroll down to the last pic, OMG, the gladiator shoes.
Don't know what the stylist was thinking?
Maybe there is a reason for that, she just got off the stage???
