Sohn Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki’s chilling romance

Sohn Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki will be pairing up in the movie Chilling Romance [오싹한 연애, a working title], in which she plays a woman who can see ghosts. She has cut herself off entirely from the rest of the world, but a romance develops with Lee’s character, who wants to protect her.
A rep from Sohn’s management explained that’s she’d fallen in love with the script early on and made the statement that she is “looking favorably” at the project. It’s a cautious way of saying that her side hasn’t finalized things yet, but things look good.
I’m still trying to picture these two in a romance together — it’s a little hazy in my mind, but I do love both actors. I can see Sohn Ye-jin nailing the vulnerability and complexity of a woman with unwanted supernatural powers. And Lee Min-ki as a devoted protector? Sign me up.
Sohn’s last project was the MBC romantic comedy Personal Taste with Lee Min-ho, where she played a cute, bumbling woman who falls in love with his perfectionist character, whom she initially mistakes for being gay. Meanwhile, Lee Min-ki had a very busy last year, with indie movie Oishii Man, thriller A Million, and the box-office blockbuster Haeundae. It looks like the next year will be equally busy for him: He’s busily filming Quick, an action comedy in which he plays a deliveryman who accidentally comes into possession of a bomb. He’ll begin shooting Road to Utah in California later this month, in which he plays a drifter who meets a woman in LA and embarks on a road trip with her.

Lee Min Ki as I remember is only with 3 years younger than SYJ ...with LMH there were some netizens yelling about the age gap between the leads in Personal taste

I had a problem with the age gap in PT.
And besides, cutesy bubbly bullshitty characters is no longer suited for her to portray.She's old enough to pull those kinds of characters.

Combination of that and the female character being a frumpy maid sort of character. Brings out the fangs from the fangirls. ;) (Kim Sun Ah got heat too, but the success of Sam Soon obscured all that.)

But I'm a good student. HAHAHA! Straight As since before High School. A Cumulative GPA I'm trying to keep above a 3.5 now that I'm in college. But I think I have Senior-itis cause I'm getting lazy.... and kdramas don't help one bit. XD

but LMK has a knack of developing believable chemistry with his co-stars, at least from my point of view. maybe not the BESTEST actor but he knows how to potray his roles well, as well as gel with the actors around him.

Maybe it'll turn out that Lee Min Ki's character is a ghost who doesn't know he's a one like in the Sixth sense and in the end, she'll be the one to help him break free from whatever it is keeping him from properly crossing over. And with that she'll realize that she's doing herself no favors by not living fully.

i had to double take at the title.. lol. i was like "are we having another scandal?" XD
anyways, i heart lee minki so this is definitely a must watch. and son ye jin is really the cherry on the cake. true, i can't picture them together yet but then again, i couldnt picture chae rim with minki and it turned out just fine. plus, son ye jin is gorgeous.

I've never seen anything with him in it. Back when I was a (BIG) Lee Min-Ho enthusiast, I used to accidentally read his name (in my enthusiasm, naturally) as LMH's name and get excited. Or enthusiastic.

A HUGE fan of SYJ and been waiting patiently for her next project. I was kinda' hoping she'd be doing something with the likes of Kang Ji Hwan or Cha Seung Won.
I've always found Lee Min Ki entertaining though I'm hardly a fan.
I think the interesting factor in this "unlikely" team-up is that Lee Min Ki has previously admitted in a variety show that his ideal girl is none another than Son Ye Jin herself.
Looking forward how that would play out considering he's doing a character that's got eyes for SYJ on-screen and off-screen (too?).
