K- folks, I seem to have a bad habit of being a party pooper. It's because I hate getting one's hopes up.

So, here's what I've come across regarding Season 2: producers say it's still possible but they prefer to tell the story of a new set of Sungkyunkwan scholars, not our beloved Jalgeum Quartet.

“It’s not that we’re not planning it. If we do, we’d like to create another teenage story. There weren’t ever any historical dramas based on teenagers in the Chosun dynasty. It’s not like there were only those four youths from ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ living at that time. It’d be nice to draw a new story with a different set of teens. Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but we have been listening to suggestions coming in. Still, it’s easier said than done. We’ll be preparing for another one by the end of next year or later. Regardless, we have positive opinions on the production of a season 2.”

12.8% rating is good enough. I enjoyed this drama immensely that I will definitely get the DVD once it's out. The good points outweighs the few editing flaws.

The 4 leads are all adorable, and what chemistry!

Re Micky Yoochun ~ all I can say is he gained a fan in me (don't know him until SKKS). He did well, and to think that this is his debut... definitely has that raw talent in acting, and I believe he will be one of best. I hope he will have more projects in acting (on top of his singing). I'm now a fan, and will definitely be looking at his other projects. :D

Re Yoo Ah In ~ what can I say? It's already a known fact that this guy can act (probably one of the best). I love him in Antique Bakeshop, and love him in SKKS. I'm shipping him with LSK.. lol... sweeeeet! Their chemistry and comraderie in SKKS is unforgettable.

Re Lee Soong Ki ~ Don't know him, but wow! he's good, as in really good. He portrayed his character with ease. It's so natural. This guy should be given the best actor award.

Re Park Min Young ~ Don't know her either. Should I just make a ode for her?... sweet, feminine, and pretty Park Min Young. Kim Yoon Shik is definitely hers. It's how I imagined KYS in the novel.

I am hoping that at least 2 of the these J4 will win an KBS award end of the yr. Very unlikely KBS will award all 4 of them, so likely Micky You Chun and either Song Joong Ki or Yoo Ah In.

Park Min Young is very good too But her character seem over shadowed by the 3 cute guy characters.

On the whole, it is an entertaining drama that deserve recognition for an award though I feel Chuno will win most of the top awards.

I never much of a drama watcher. I only watch this to see Yoochun (but then fall in love with the show as a whole). The only K-drama I ever watch are Coffee Prince, Goong, Pasta, Witch sth, and some k-movies. Lol.. Thinking of watching Tamra since it's said to have similar atmosphere with SKKS...

uhm, with k-dramas famous for sad and bad ending, I didn't dare to hope too much, or I'll be very very crushed (Bad Guy, I still hate you).

Happy ending for the quartet! I will definitely miss this drama! It's one of the few dramas that my mum was even more passionate than me! Yupps!

I was wondering whether the company behind SKKS will consider introducing an iphone app for SKKS. With some short preview clips or interviews of the cast. I think international fans will definitely adore it!

Last night, for the first time ever, I watched it live.

It was awesome. We were all huddled together on Thundie's site. And we had all gone crazy over SKKS and trying to stream it live. Reading the live recap. 'Fun'-est thing I ever did. It was so much fun. It was like, yes, World Cup watching.

in all fairness and seriousness, song joongki and yoo ah in totally stole the sow frm yoochun and park minyoung. EVERYONE did an amazing job, of course, but theseguys just brought it like never before

Someone said earlier that you need to have a cable subscription to watch KBS. I don't have one but I can go to the english site at kbsworldi.com and buy the point and watch it online. I just paid $20 for 250 points and I am watching SKKS ep 7 now. I'm very pleased as the site loads fast, no ad, best quality than any free or paid site that I joined so far.

Im of spanish/malay/ chinese/indian descent and into my 40's and more than 6 years back a young friend in her 20's lent me her DVD of "Tutor Friend" featuring Kwan Sang Woo and Gong Yoo (in a bit role) and this opened me to the wonders and magic of Korean film and TV series! :-) Have watched a lot since then. My fave being Jewel in the Palace, Jumong, Goong, Coffee Prince, Biscuit Teacher, He's Beautiful, King of Baking, Queen Seon Dok, etc etc and now Sungkyunkwan Scandal :-) But Im already rambling! :-) I also love Japanese, Taiwanese, Filipino dramas but that's another story altogether. ;-) Korean dramas are still the best though! I dont know... its something natural, effortless and yet supernatural and noble that touches the heart at the same time - I'd credit the writers behind those beautiful stories more than the excellent direction, production, technology or even cast, although they are all that! In the end, barring race, color and creed, all human race desire inspiration, beauty, nobility and grace. :-)

I will gladly buy any or all versions of this drama DVD but please can it have good Eng. subs! Please it is upsetting to fork over all those $$ for barely sub par subs.

I will not watch Mary until it's finished airing. The cliffhangers for SKKS were too much for me to handle; I almost had an anxiety attack every week....anxious anticipation. :0)
