Jung Il-woo and the adults of Moon/Sun to appear this week

Eee, make way for the adult cast of The Moon That Embraces the Sun! (Or, should I say, older cast, since some of these younguns still don’t strike me quite as adults.)

On one hand, the teenage cast has been rocking the show so far so I’ll be sad to see them go, particularly the two brothers (Yeo Jin-gu as Prince Hwon and Lee Min-ho as Yang-myung), who have such wonderful chemistry and a rich backstory.

On the other hand, the adult cast is what got me excited about this drama in the first place, and I can’t wait to see how Kim Soo-hyun tackles Hwon’s adorable mix of strength and vulnerability, and how Jung Il-woo plays the quiet pain underneath the smiling, joking exterior. (My heart, it bleeds already.)

In these first stills, Jung is in character as Yang-myung, older half-brother to the king. Below the stills of Jung are several photos of the adult cast in scenes to come.

After finishing his first shoots as Yang-myung, Jung Il-woo said, “I was really excited and nervous going into it, but as I discussed the script with director Kim Do-hoon, I quickly got into the role. It feels great that the drama is receiving such love from viewers, but it also adds to the pressure. Because Lee Min-ho did such a great job with the younger role, I feel like have even more weight to shoulder, but I’ll do my best with a hapy heart. I want to continue the great acting done by the younger cast.”

Jung makes his appearance in this week’s Episode 6, along with the other adult cast members.

Aww I'll miss seeing the youngins but yay for older casts!! Jung Il Woo and Kim Soo Hyun, swwwooonnn!! hehe
Jung Il Woo is going to break my heart, I m not looking forward to the sadness that is to come :(

despite being utterly mesmerised by kim yoo jung and yeo jin gu, for me that is, DID ANYONE LOVE HYUNG SUN, he's so winning whenever he appears, what a comic relief he is, hope he has the same chemistry with kim soo hyun as with yeo jin gu!!!!!!

This is really one drama I will be cheering on every week, though I can't watch it :c important exams year this year! But I WILL ROOT FOR THIS. Love the kids, love the adults, EVERYTHINGGGG ♥

weeee~~! so excited that my-long-awaited-appearance-of-kimsoohyun is just around the corner.. but then Yeo Jin Goo (younger lee Lee Hwon) did such a wonderful job that I doubt I'll watch KSH act without comparing them.. but then again KSH is a wonderful actor so I'm sure he can pull it off well~

yeah the adults might appear in ep 6 which is a pain to wait.. and it hurts me to let the kids go too >.< I think I've fallen in love with them already~

Lol that last picture is so adorable! I have to admit, I'm always envious of cast getting chummy with each other on set - it makes me want to be a part of that!

I hope this wasn't already mentioned before but, didn't Yeo Jin Gu and Kim Soo Hyun play brothers on East of Eden?? And how old is Kim Soo Hyun to Han Gain? I would say the only real adult cast is Han Gain...I still think of Jung Ilwoo and Kim Soo Hyun as kids!
