I was thinking this myself. Ghost in the shell sort of scenario(s). Still, that first one did look an awful like either the set beside him was on fire and he was getting some residual smoke, or he was turning into a ghost. Perhaps the hidden meaning is...he IS the Ghost in the Machine!

Random bit of trivia: the 1999 series 'Ghost' yes, literally 고스트 starred Jang Dong-gun, Kim Ha-neul and Kim Min-jong. Also aired on SBS. Jus sayin'.

I think I had similar thoughts seeing those posters. I still lub So Ji-sub but really, his career... It's like that saying: 'one bad turn deserves another... and another and another...'
However, if this is anything like the writer-PD tandem's Harvest Villa, there may just be hope yet?

lol @ the commentary. I agree that the posters aren't very appealing (a bit of a yawn-fest really). They could have made it look more digitized with an awesome computer graphic background to play up the 'ghost' theme.
Can't see this and not think of Ghost in the Shell. Man, that was some good animation right there.

It's an anime, consisting of several films and a TV series. I've see only the first film, but it was fabulous. (I will watch the rest in the future).

i agree about So Ji Sub, i know the guy can act but sometimes i feel he got lazy and too comfortable with his acting/work. I had hope that he would change something with this drama but from the looks of it i don't think so.

In "We Are Dating Now" (2002) he played a good, innocent guy. Nothing dark about the character :D

He looked pretty vacant in Sorry I Love You but I thought it was because of the bullet in his head. He looked REALLY vacant in Cain and Abel but I thought it was because he had amnesia. I'm optimistic I'll find a way to explain his vacancy (LOL) here.

No arguments there but that single expression is enough to make me want to watch him nevertheless :)
I don't think SJS can act. And he hasn't improved with the years at all. But I love to look at his face because it is sort of flawless you know.

Well, they all look very SERIOUS but still very pretty. For eye candy alone it's worth looking at. But I'm not sure I want to invest hours in this drama. But Eom Ki Joon is in it, and I adore him. So I'll probably at least check it out.

So true...he reminds me of this white cartoon dog that was popular when I was really small, a white basset hound with huge sad eyes and flapping jowls - Droopy Dog. Even when he smiles, he still looks sad.

I just read about this over at Soompi. There's no road yet, but there sure is a gallery at the beginning of where they're planning to start the road - and guess what's in the gallery?! Pictures of SJS showing his many poses and same expression. And the best part? He's actually standing there admiring himself. He's one happy fella. Pfft.

I still can't get past the fact that I really did not like his character in Bali. But if he's super cool and the writing is as good as it was in signs... I'm all for it. I don't remember what this series is about... but if it's about solving crimes, I love that. SJS looks really fine here.
LYH looks good in the posters. I'm hoping her acting is better than the other stuff I've seen her in.

So Ji Sub is back ojn tv so excited. But I am not excited for the drama since Lee Yeon Hee is pretty and cannot act.I hope that the lovely people on this thread can change my mind because other than Queen In-Hyun Man my wed/thurs is looking pretty empty. I don't know if I will either like Time Slip Dr. Jin or Bridal Mask too.They all look so serious and tragic. And it doesn't help that only one show has 2 main strong actors.The rest it's all secondary.Counting on the dramabeans family to show me the light.

Lee Yeon Hee is pretty but how come in all the posters she only has one facial expression, which is expressionless. It turns me off a a bit about this drama although the other leads are great

I think the posters represent the makers' honesty: we give you an hour of So Ji Sub, twice a week. Are you in? And then I say: of course I am! As I already wrote somewhere - if you ask me, he can just play an accountant at work, I don't mind.
I actually like that the poster shows one of the drama's best assets (I hope SJS doesn't screw this up:P) without trying hard to come up with some unnecessary fireworks.
