TOP to become flower boy secret agent?

Is there ANY occupation that hasn’t had a flower boy version of it? That’s going to be the lasting mark of Hallyu, isn’t it — the flower-boy-ification of all things? This time it’s going to be flower boy spy, in the upcoming movie Alumni, featuring an undercover agent at a high school. Idol-actor TOP (Into the Gunfire, IRIS) is rumored to star, though that guy’s rumored to star in everything under the sun, so who knows what the final verdict will be.
The film is the next project from director Park Shin-woo (Into the White Night), and though the premise sounds like it would make for a much better comedy, it’s a dark action-drama. The main character is a young boy whose father is a sleeper agent — a North Korean spy living in the South — and for reasons that will probably make no sense to me, when Dad gets framed for something, the boy has to become a North Korean spy in order to protect his little sister. Huh? But, as a teenager?
And the reason he can’t be a grown man-spy who goes undercover as a high schooler is…? (Now I’m thinking it would be so awesome if they did an update of the Kim Sun-ah movie She’s on Duty — it’s like Never Been Kissed-meets-Alias.) Anyway, so spy boy then enrolls at a high school like a normal kid, and even meets a girl, but then also has to massacre all the Northern agents sent to kill him. Hm. Maybe it’s more fantasy-based, like Girl K, which would make a LOT more sense. Either way, this plot does not seem like it’ll hold under much more scrutiny, so I’m gonna stop squinting at it, and just wait for the blood ‘n’ guts.
If TOP does sign on, he’ll be going head-to-head with Kim Soo-hyun’s flower boy spy movie, Covertly, Grandly, where he plays a North Korean agent undercover as an idol. Guess even flower boy secret agents need to come in pairs.
Alumni plans to start shooting in July.

Hahaha.. You wouldn't be the only ones. A friend of mine went to SMTOWN NYC and said she sat behind a group of Dong Bang Shin Ki ahjumma fans. She said they were pretty rowdy.

I'll need heart medication for the concert. It started with me noticing his speaking voice and the eyebrow lift. Then I paid attention to Daesung because of What's Up. After that Alive came out and I was like, ok, I'mma check dis out. Now I might as well be a VIP. I can't even tell you which one I like better - it's just the group as a whole.

Then, isn't G-Dragon releasing a solo album in Summer ? (I read somewhere, that is) So, while he's doing that, TOP shoots his movie ?
Then BB reconvenes in September for the World Tour.

LOL why does everything in the k-entertainment have to come in pairs or quadruplets(time traveling dramas). eh, this is like the 5th thing he's been rumored for so i'll believe it when yg actually confirms it. plus, i don't see how he'll have time with their tour going on this year. this is such an old sounding movie and role choice in general for top. i'd rather him play something more challenging like a mute, outcast, or someone with disabilities than another pretty killer a la iris. and as much as i love his voice, his acting is loads better when he's on silent mode like in this mv. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QnR6YdN-3Y

Ooo, that's gooOOood. :) TOP was really doing so great job in that drama "IRIS". I think he's really fitting into "suspense/thriller/action" for his acting, of course. AH! Also, it'd be INTERESTING to see him act so tough and learn how to martial art in action movie nor drama either. :D I expect that I will able to see him in action movie/drama someday! (I am REALLY fan of "action" genre, haha!)

It's hard to root for any actor when it comes to movies that would probably confused me. But, it's true, TOP had been rumoured to be in like a zillion thing and I don't even remember half of it. But, as much as I am Big Bang bias, my vote would go to Kim Soo Hyun, simply because he can make me wanna punch and hug him at the same. TOP is just too hugable.

Tabi's going on a year long world tour so I seriously doubt he'll be able to dedicate time away from BigBang to filming a full length movie. And besides, I really wanted to see him in a drama. He was also rumored for a Korean remake of Absolute Boyfriend as Tenjo Night and a Skip Beat-esque remake as well. However, both of these are recent Taiwanese drama releases so maybe those talks w/Tabi have gone out the window.
