Giveaway hootenanny: CDs and OSTs!

It’s a giveaway! It’s a hootenanny! It’s a giveaway hootenanny!

Here’s the shortened version of how this giveaway came to be: gummimochi says, “Hey, I have this CD I want to give away to fans to celebrate my anniversary with Dramabeans,” and we says, “That’s a great idea, let’s steal it and give away LOTS of stuff, because as we know, more is always better!”

So we’re giving away OSTs, one from each of us, just to say thanks for being you, and for sharing our neverending love of all things kdrama.

Rules:

Leave a comment here (with your real email address!), explaining why you’d like to win the CD of your choice. Maybe this was your favorite drama EVAR, or maybe you really want that disc to use for dart practice. Whatever floats your boat. You may enter for any or all of the CDs (separate comment per entry, please), but be sure to specify which particular one you are addressing.

Note that winners will NOT be picked in a random selection; each of us will choose one winner, to be announced next week. Meet back here on Sunday, August 12, for results!

SHINee’s “Sherlock”

gummimochi:

This time one year ago, I could never have imagined that I would be able to share my everlasting love for variety, drama, and pop music to a beautiful you. Putting all those together, I’ve chosen SHINee’s new mini-album, “Sherlock.”

Min-ho will be headlining the upcoming drama, To the Beautiful You, where he needs to be clued in that a he might be a she. Not like it takes Sherlock Holmes-esque detective skills to figure that out though, but hey – this is kdrama-land.

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

kaedejun:

Time flies when you’re having fun! It feels like yesterday when I wrote my first recap, and I can still remember that experience. 12 recaps and 2 years later, I’m still living through that experience – which I’ll never forget – thanks to Dramabeans, where discussion, fan-girling (or fan-guying), and sharing flow through like streams of consciousness during the lazy days of summer. Speaking of summer – this is why I’ve chosen the You’ve Fallen For Me OST. Its OST makes me think of sunshine, happiness, sunflowers, and daisies. Really. And it features CN Blue’s Jung Yong-hwa and Kang Min-hyuk, which is one of my few favorite bands (second to the almighty Big Bang). So I hope you enjoy it as much as I have, and live this summer out as carefree and happily as the students of You’ve Fallen For Me. I’ll see you at the beach!

Chuno OST

HeadsNo2:

This is a soundtrack near and dear to my heart, not only because Chuno will always remain one of my all time favorite dramas, but because it also represents one of my favorite aspects of dramas and Dramabeans – the ability to bring people together. By melding history with modern sensibilities, it’s a drama that broke ground and appealed to a mass audience, whether they were seasoned sageuk lovers or complete newbies to the genre. No matter what our favorite genre is, we all look for stories with the ability to move us, to transport us to another world, to be thought-provoking, to give us a reason to want to gather and share our thoughts, our experiences, and our love of community. One hundred posts later, I’ve definitely come to treasure the discussion that happens here and all the wonderful insights I’ve learned from our time together, and hope you can enjoy a soundtrack that moved and inspired me as much as I did, if not more. Oh, and ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

javabeans:

There are a lot of reasons for me to single out Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, like the fact that it remains, more than halfway through 2012, the drama that touched my heart the most this year. Other dramas had the big twists, the high drama, the epic conflicts, and the quirky high concepts—but Shut Up, despite its small world and small stories, had for me the sincerest connection with emotion and angst. The people felt real and the drama was fueled by that pounding, aching, fluttering and sometimes raging heart that drove its characters.

But you know what? All that aside, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band had awesome music. It had the deftest way of working its music into the plot, effectively making its soundtrack a running storyline like it was a character of its own. So there.

The King 2 Hearts OST

girlfriday:

An epic drama that managed to steal my heart in an epic way. The King 2 Hearts swept me up in its tense action, side-splitting comedy and sweet romance at every turn, and the score played a big part in keeping me enraptured in that world. It’s also a drama that reminded me of the fervor of fandom — you guys made the crazy train fun (also crazy), and I was happy to come along for the ride. This OST probably marks those few months in time — the OMG WHAT HAPPENS NEXT crack addiction — as much as the drama itself. Here’s to love in the DMZ, and sharing good dramas with friends from around the globe. Cheers.

Hello. :)
I'm commenting in hopes of getting the OST for Shut Up: Flower Boy Band. But truthfully, it won't be for me - especially since I have yet to watch it. Ridiculous and cheeky of me, I know, but...

My friend has been raving about this drama for some time now - she still is actually - and she just loves the drama. Or perhaps the actors actually, but the music is a definite for her. We've been friends and fangirls for 3 years along with our weird little circle of fangirls so it was very hard to hear that she would be leaving. Not just our circle, but the country. Which then renders any possibility of visitations/meetings-to-fangirl near to impossible.
So before she leaves, I want to give her something that not only she will love but will remind her of friendship and bonds every time she listens to it. With time she may forget the weird circle of fanatics she still is part of today, but I don't want her to forget the strong bonds that friendships can have. And the OST for Shut Up: Shut Up Flower Boy Band fits just that.

So yeah. A lot of cheese came with this story but well, in some situations you just can't avoid it. :)
And I realize that there are a million other things that I could buy or make to better fit the occasion; but I just think the story and music of Shut Up: Flower Boy Band fits us just as well.

Shut Up Flower Boy Band OST

Honestly, I loved this drama :)
The bromance was the best the romance was good too. The main part that really got me was the way they played music. They played for fun! For whatever they wanted, whatever floated their boat! They played and had so much fun that they have me the courage to go into my school's talent show. Before I couldn't do that because I didn't have the guts. Good thing I watched this and entered the show. I had a lot of fun and will continue to have more fun in the future :) anyways, I just totally loved this drama :]

I want the heartstrings OST because CNBlue was definitely the start of my kpop addiction. I was new to watching korean dramas and when the main song and basically all the songs of the drama were stuck in my head everyday I had to fulfill my obsession with other kpop singers. Since then my love for kpop is endless but my heart still lies with CNblue :)

Hi, everyone! I would like the You've fallen for me ost because it's a collection of songs that always make me lighthearted no matter what mood I'm in. My baby brother will be born in December just like me! We're going to be 15 years apart. As a winter baby I always dislikes summer. But to remind my brother that all seasons are wonderful and blessings from God, I'd like him to listen to this ost. (it doesn't hurt that I can share what I love too!) :D thanks for all of y'all's hard work! I'm a huge fan!!

Dear kaedejun,

Please consider me for the You've Fallen for Me OST! I love both the drama and the soundtrack very much. Whenever I am feeling blue or lonely, watching Shin and Gyu Won brings me back to summer and the sweetness of sincere romance.

I love listening to Yong Hwa play his electric & acoustic and especially his singing. Also, because of Shin Hye and her gayageum, I grew to appreciate traditional music. Out of all the Kdrama heroines, I love and admire Gyu Won best because of her strength, cheerful and kind spirit, and her pure character.

This drama is one of my favourites. It has taught me to be like Gyu Won in her kindness towards those who want to bring her down, like Hee-joo, as well as her strength and graciousness in not burdening others or hogging the limelight to herself. Her relationship with Shin is so sweet; it encourages me not to settle for just anyone. The OST gives me chills, makes me hopeful, and is full of life. This would mean alot to me, so I hope you can choose me! :)

Sure I would love to look at Yonghwa's face at the CD cover but this is a CD! It is supposed to be listened to and so my pick is SHUT UP FLOWER BOY BAND! I just sometimes go back here are at dramabeans to find the SUFBB episode guide not to reread but to replay the os tracks. Through the OST I've been introduced to Korean Rock (Sorry, Yonghwa, I like CNBLUE but, your songs are not rockin' enough for me) and now I want a copy of it! Thanks!

I would like the Shut UP! OST. The music told a story of its own while still relating to the drama's actually story. The drama itself was wonderful. It was real, and raw and heartfelt in the most fantastic way. It reminded me of the trials and tribulations you go through being a teen and trying to figure out what your about. I'm only 21 but It can be easy to forget such things sometimes. No drama has touched my heart this much since Soulmate.

Chuno OST

Chuno will always be a special drama for me, because it's the first drama I've ever seen. If it weren't for Chuno, I would've never discovered this wonderful and really exciting world of kdramas. So I'm very grateful to fate that I happened to come across Chuno. I've already watched it three times and it seems like I'll never grow tired of it. This is a perfect drama in every aspect, and the music is one of its biggest assets. I just can't describe how I love each and every song from this OST. It's even hard to decide which one is my favourite, though Gloomy 30's and MC Sniper are battling for the first place. ;)

The King 2 Hearts!

What I love about this drama is that how a carefree person can change his outlook in life after going through with so many struggles (death of a family, having a big responsibility as a royalty, stopping a war without shedding too much blood, keeping love alive like you and me against the world themed). The story shows the reality of life.

I would like to have the ost of this drama because it made me reminisce every beautiful, and meaningful scenes from the drama. The songs brings out the emotions of being betrayed, sadness, loneliness, hope, and love.
