Yoon Eun-hye joins Yoochun in I Miss You

Finally, a leading lady! I was beginning to think they were going to shoot this drama without her. Confirmations are in that Yoon Eun-hye will be starring opposite Yoochun in the upcoming melodrama I Miss You, set to premiere next month. Yoon was rumored to be a candidate along with a handful of other actresses, but the production was oddly hush-hush about casting news, despite the ticking clock and less than a month to go before broadcast. With actors picking up and dropping the show left and right, I was beginning to fear the worst; but yay for pulling through in the final stretch.

The 20-episode melodrama is described as a hide-and-seek love story, about a pair of teenagers who fall in love and get painfully separated, and then meet again as adults. There’s not a whole lot to the plot other than that, so it looks like a Fate vs. First Loves kind of story — heavy on the angst with a side of salty tears. The fifteen-year old versions of the leads will be played by Moon/Sun’s Yeo Jin-gu and Kim So-hyun, who are both delightful and becoming stars in their own right.

And then following the painful period of Ye First Love Torn Asunder, we’ll meet up with our adult cast: Yoochun who plays Han Jung-woo, a cheeky detective in the violent crimes unit, and Yoon Eun-hye as Lee Soo-yeon, a talented rookie fashion designer. Both characters are cheerful types, which is a huge relief, considering the amount of times the words “pain” and “separation” appear in any given description of the project. The heroine is bright and confident, despite carrying a deep scar from something in her past, and the hero is a cheeky monkey off-duty, and a baddie-chasing fiend when he’s wearing his gun and badge.

The drama will be helmed by PD Lee Jae-dong of Can’t Lose and Thank You, and written by Moon Hee-jung of Can You Hear My Heart and Smile, You. I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic, mostly because I like the cast, and also because I’m dying for Yoon Eun-hye to do something good again. I adore her, but that’s 100% residual love from projects that are frankly quite old now (Coffee Prince, Goong) and it’d be really nice to see her play a meaty, substantial role. Please be good, Show. Please, be good.

I Miss You follows Arang and the Magistrate and premieres in November on MBC.

Love the young cast! They were great together in their previous roles.

YC has really improved his acting in RTP. I like YEH's previous comedies/dramas, but her latest ones haven't been so great. I like parts of Lie to Me, but writing was hindered by the change of writers in midstream.

This part is well suited for YEH because she is a real fashionista; however,I hope they don't make the stories like the clunkers, Style or Fashion King. Snooze...Zzzz

They known each other since XMen their days when they were both young. Now they are both famous in their own right, so I think they would make a cute pairing in this drama. I enjoyed the writers ' previous dramas. So as long as the plot is solid and if they have a great director, I'm hoping that they will do well.

Fighting! Can't wait until November!!

I actually love the hatred for YEH going on here. It proves that she popular, you either love her or are revolted by here (more than 200+ comments for a casting decision). By and large, there is more love than hate, considering she is one of the most, if not the most, popular K-Drama Actress internationally (regardless of what you think of her acting ability or appearance). Therefore, I think her fans and YEH can take it (I am sure every time YEH looks at her bank account, her opportunities, and her ability to do good with her status, she smiles).
However, there is a thin line between constructive criticism, and people that have nothing left to do but fulfill the their need to attack others (probably due to something that has to do with themselves, rather than YEH herself). So the following applies to the attackers, not the critics, stop complaining about people saying something back to you, if you dish it out, eat it up.
I'm sure you'd feel the sameway if someone attacked your favorite actress with what you felt was unjustified reasoning. (Probably not your favorite actor, because guys are always treated better, and women are always harder on women. However, I will not even get into the sexism issue that seems to be rampant and is the general undertone of all attacks on women in the comment sections)
In sum, you can't hit someone and then cry foul when they hit you back, and if it's more than expected. (the same rules apply to the kindergarden playground)

actually, it'd be nice if she and mgy switched role, because i feel more for yeh-psh and mgy-pyc couples. kke. but let's just see this pairing~

Yoon Eun-hye "Love It, Love her" she can't do any wrong in my eyes! She is the only actress that have consistently done kiss scene "RIGHT" she a natural there not one drama she played in that the kiss scene was not realistic, natural and passionate. GOONG, Vineyard, Coffee, My Fair Lady, Lie To Me and I can only hope and pray next will be I Miss You. I have been a die hard fan of Yoon Eun-Hye every since the # one kiss scene to date "Goong".....side note (Come to Me Flower) is a close second. I know what some viewers are thinking a good kiss is a small part of the drama, WRONG! Since K-drama is so bad at kiss scene it has become the most important part of the drama.. A bad kiss can ruined the entire drama for me... it the first and last thing I need to certify the hardship and the k-drama prejudices was worth it!

There are times when the kiss is so bad I prefer for them not to even make the attempted, and other cases the drama is so well written and the acting is great there really is no need for a kiss. I truly dread the pin and needle effect of waiting for the kiss because for me I know if the kiss is bad it’s a wrap and I wasted 11 hours of my life.

What drama has a good storyline, great acting and great kiss scenes you ask? Queen In-hyun Man is a prefect example of a well written storyline, good acting and best of all the kisses in that drama went from good, great, to Good God.
What drama have a good storyline, good acting and the kiss was capable of ruined the entire drama you asks? “Glory Jane” I don’t think I need to say any more other then the second worst kiss in k-drama history was with the same actress in the drama (City Hunter) Just saying….
OK, I going to address the some of the viewers out there that gasping for breathe because it was with Min-Ho in the City Hunter kiss scene, the king of Hot kisses and I respectfully agree he rock that kiss but with co-actress that stood there like a blow up doll, even Min-Ho could not get that horse out the gate… Just saying….

Drum roll please for the drama that was written to perfection, every one of the casts member performances was profound and no kiss need or required!

Wait for it

Wait for it

TREES WITH DEEP ROOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Side note: Before I totally get over K-drama I hope to see “my girl Yoon Eun-hye” in a drama with Min-Ho because that would be epic!

*Fireworks* in regards to Tree With Deep Roots!!!! Boy was that one hell of a ride!! I really did not care for a kiss. Its another story with History Of A Salaryman. I needed my kiss T^T! Still one of the best this year though. ^^

Now I have to disagree that Yoon Eun-hye is the only actress who is consistent when it comes to giving real kiss. I have to give the #1 place to Kim Sun Ah, Girl just knows how to let go and let the steam out!! and Yoon Eun-hye comes right behind her!! Both these actresses just know how to get it done. Only these two can satisfy me when it comes to kissing.

even Min-Ho could not get that horse out the gate… Just saying…. LOL XD!!!!

LOL, I didn't watch Glory Jane but awhile ago i saw the kiss and lol'ed so hard!!! she just sat there with her eyes closed. Lee Jang-Woo was trying to kiss the hell outta her, but she was like a brick. She reminds me of Ku Hye-Seon in kissing scenes! It was a whole other story with Lee Jang-Woo and Kim Sun Ah. When I say i saw tongue movements I mean I SAW TONGUE MOVEMENTS!!! Some deep kisses was going on with these two!! Phew, excuse me. It was HOOTTT!!!

I am looking forward for this new project of Park Yoochun as well as their team up with Yoon Eun-Hye, I hope they have a good chemistry.

About their acting, only I could say they both need to learn more.

For the 3 Kdrama that I have been watched lead by Park Yoochun, I don't feel boring, I love all the STORIES and I found out on his recent KDrama there are some improvement on his acting.

And for Yoon Eun-Hye, I like her acting in Lie to Me, but sad to say in Princess Hours after episode 11 I stopped watching because I feel bored.

But I MISS YOU according to some write-ups the writer is good so we expect this drama is interesting. And I want to find out how Park Yoochun play this role I hope his acting not depend on his partner, the cast, director or the writer but on his own capabilities.

On my opinion he will become a better actor if you give him a chance to learn more.

Good luck for Park Yoochun and Yoon Eun-Hye prove to us that you deserve this project.

Goong was the first Kdrama I'd ever heard of because I was reading the manwha at the time, so the fact that it was being turned into a drama was big news!

I watched full house and my girl before it aired, but it introduced me to dramas.

I've loved YEH since then, but her last several shows have not been good. Haven't finished any of them. I really hope this one turns out well, I miss watching her!

My favorite is the vineyard man :P

I was reading all the comments and i was a little bit annoyed with comments which is not helping to promote positive response for the drama. If you don't like it Who cares we've been waiting for eun hye yoon and it wont stop us watching her drama's even for a million times okay! You are entitled for your opinions and stuff but you have to remember it can also affect others opinion towards this drama (I miss You ) so better look at yourself first before you comment on something and make sure its worth reading.

Anyway. I'm so excited for this drama and will watch it definitely.

I'm generally more of a romcom than a melodrama gal, but seeing as how the romcom-sphere has been filled with boring cliches and idols "acting" these days, branching out might not be a bad idea. Plus it's YEH (adore her) and PYC (who acts pretty decently for a idol-turned-actor).

I became a fan of YEH after watching LTM. I don't even care about other k dramas before but seeing her act I began to love her that just goes to say she is an effective actress as she got my attention and now I am an avid fan who stalks her If i may say hehehe... And now that I've learned more about her personality I was even more impressed. So no matter what they say I will watch this drama and will not judge it till its shown.i am a fair person.

YEH seems to have that effect. I remember when so many questioned her being the lead actress in Goong and Coffee Prince and she proved so many wrong. Then, when fans waited for her next drama series, a lot got disappointed with the poor storyline of Lie to Me. Now, some of you are saying that this may not be good and fashion is SO out of season, I will take that as a good start and YC, though young, has shown much potential when he diversified. At the end of the day, it would be how great the lines would be delivered, how the wrist would be grabbed, the kissing scene to be executed and how well the ending would be written that would bring in the ratings, the praises, the criticisms and possibly another good series to wait for. I'd say, sit back and enjoy the ride, you can always opt to stop, anytime you like.

My eyes are on their off-screen chemistry because it'll confirm/remove my dating speculations of YC and Han Ji Min, whom now I adore. Totally hoping this drama will be another hit!

Yoon Eun_Hye is one of my absolute favorite actresses and that includes all the American ones too. I do not understand the bashing she gets - I just don't understand it. Her range is excellent, from her comic timing in "The Vineyard Man" to more tender moments in "Coffee Prince" and others. This girls rocks a movie and her movies do so well. I am not Korean and I live in the US - she has a strong fan base here that is growing.
I sometimes think the drama "The Greatest Love" about the scandal with a former pop star and fan bashing was based on her story.
Yoon Eun_Hye is smart, beautiful and talented. Perhaps people are just bitterly jealous of this wonderful combination.
