Running Man: Episode 156

The 2NE1 members come to play with our Running Man cast to acquire a precious resource in order to save their planet. Who knew that one could have this much fun on this third rock from the sun? You might just say that this episode is out of this world.

EPISODE 156. Broadcast on July 28, 2013.

Our cast gathers by the Han River brightly dressed to match sci-fi concept. In fact, Mr. PD explains that they’re aliens, and I love the collective disbelief about this fictional setup: “There he goes again.” “How far are you going to take this?”

Luckily, these extraterrestrials are not alone and are joined by girl group: 2NE1: CL, Park Bom, Sandara Park, and Minzy. Kpop fans will know that seeing YG artists on variety is as common as seeing a rare white elk. Needless to say that Blackjacks are sure to be excited to see their idols on screen.

Immediately, the cast complains about how they can’t seem to pull off the same colorful clothes as well as the ladies do. Then Jae-suk hangs a lantern on Dara’s iconic hairstyle that dates back to their rookie days. It’s appropriate for today’s theme, ‘s all I’m sayin’.

Man, I forgot that Kwang-soo is in fact younger than both Dara and Bom (they’re older than him by a year as 1984-ers.) Then Haha dares him to call them Noona. Ha.

Jo PD gives the lowdown: the aliens are here on Earth to collect enough resources to save their native planet. They need—you guessed it—twenty one liters of water in order to return home.

Time to announce teams: Pink (Jae-suk, Kwang-soo, Bom, and Minzy), Orange (Gary, Haha, Dara, and CL), and Green (Jong-kook, Suk-jin, and Ji-hyo). How cute is it that Kwang-soo gives Jae-suk a peck on the cheek?

The MIB agents (headed by Maknae FD) instructs them to select a teammate who will wear bells while the others choose earthly objects. Then it’s time to erase their memories with a plastic prop that Jae-suk finds thoroughly embarrassing: “2NE1 is here today!”

The aliens are instantly teleported to a park next to their object of choice. Ha, and Kwang-soo introduces his bald mannequin to the viewers

A text finally explains their mission here: a hide-and-seek game where the hiders will have to find a UFO while carrying their respective objects. Oy, how is Minzy going to remain inconspicuous with that giant teddy bear?

The other hiders’ things are just as gaudy, like Suk-jin’s bright red patio umbrella. Kwang-soo runs off with his mannequin, wondering, “How am I supposed to run away with this?!” …and then his mannequin’s arm pops out. Hahaha. Poor guy, can’t catch a break.

The seekers are sent out. Haha situates himself behind a few park visitors by his tent entrance. It’s a pretty brilliant plan, and even Suk-jin passes by without notice.

Unfortunately for Dara, her antenna-like hair makes her stick out like a sore thumb. She’s quickly spotted by her opponents, who give chase. Then Minzy cheerily yells out from another corner of the park. Ack, don’t give your position away!

But she’s here to help out the Pink Team, and they eliminate Dara together.

Minzy finds herself being chased by Jong-kook on his bicycle, and he honestly looks like he feels bad about eliminating her so quickly. Thankfully(?) they’re joined by Jae-suk, and at the idea that Jong-kook lets Minzy go free, Spartakooks retorts: “But you tagged Dara out right away!”

Eventually Minzy takes off, and the two team leaders end up bickering as usual over how rough the nametags feel.

Elsewhere, Kwang-soo has resorted to sticking his mannequin’s arms in his pockets as he roams around with Ji-hyo to figure our what their UFO is. Then he has a eureka moment: “What if it’s a car?”

At Ji-hyo’s praise on his astute hypothesis, Kwang-soo keeps fishing for compliments. You’re just pressing your luck now.

Minzy flies by with a warning just before Gary comes speeding down the path. He sets his eyes on Kwang-soo, who momentarily loses one of his “four arms.”

For a moment there, it looks like Jae-suk swings by in order to rescue his other teammate, only to whiz past with a short “Hang in there!” Unfortunately, Kwang-soo is no match for Gary and is tagged out.

Then it’s like a barrage of eliminations as Ji-hyo is eliminated, and then Suk-jin. We finally catch up to Bom dragging her heavy cello case around when she’s spotted by Jong-kook.

She cries out that she’s found her UFO (to a random statue) just before her nametag is ripped off, and she collapses to the ground. Jong-kook: “How could you tell me that you found it?” Bom: “I lied!” Aww.

The game finally ends when Haha and Minzy discovers their team’s UFOs, which are basically just decorative cars. As punishment, two liters of water are taken away for every team member who was eliminated. That means a whopping four liters for every team.

HA—Dara’s hair sticks up above the sunroof, and Haha jokes: “We get Wi-Fi over here!”

On their way to their second location, Bom remarks that they hope to re-invent their image with their appearance today since they’re usually perceived as “the scary unnis.” Jae-suk replies that it’s because of their heavy eyeliner makeup, and Bom quips, “That’s why I wore less today!” Ha.

After they agree that the ladies look more innocent today, Kwang-soo runs with it to compliment Minzy. But Bom won’t have any of that, and she puts him in his place: “Don’t set your eyes on my dongsaeng!” Not a scary unni, you say?

In the other car, Gary and Haha are busy talking about how CL seems so delicately graceful in person as compared to her strong, charismatic image on stage.

Haha emphatically imitates: “I thought she’d be like, ‘Wooww Oppa~!'” It’s hard to capture the moment in writing, but it’s hilarious.

The teams arrive at a swimming pool where they’ll duke it out to be the last team standing to win. At the prospect of facing Jong-kook, Kwang-soo decides to clamp himself to the mat, but to everyone’s surprise, Bom walks up to take on Suk-jin.

Oooh, I definitely like her assertiveness, even if it’s against a fairly easily obstacle like Suk-jin. With her teammates’ help, they send him into the water, and Kwang-soo gets pushed in just seconds later.

It gets the ball rolling, and soon CL has a grasp on Bom. But then Minzy sends them both into the water, fellow teammate be damned. The others can only gape in surprise as Minzy literally rolls her last 2NE1 unni into the water.

Only SpartAce is left, and this idol maknae is none to be trifled with. At one point, she falls into a split, and SpartAce looks momentarily dumbfounded. Ji-hyo slowly leads Minzy to the edge, but in an effort to fall into the water together, Minzy falls back onto the mat instead.

Now we all know of Jong-kook’s weakness against the ladies, and he does the chivalrous thing by trying to lift Minzy with a princess carry. He’s legitimately surprised when it doesn’t work.

Then in a moment of distraction, he scoops Minzy up and gently lets her down into the water. And I’d be lying if I said that the moment didn’t make my heart flutter a little.

Everyone likens Minzy’s strength to Yoon Eun-hye from the X-man days, which can only mean one thing: “You have to make a loveline with Jong-kook!” Her strength earns her the nickname “Female Warrior.”

The teams have a cheer-off before the second round, and it’s cute how the Orange Team dance to CL’s single “The Baddest Female.” It’s a slow start since Jong-kook is the only one who steps forward at first, but eventually everyone joins in, albeit with caution.

Suk-jin calls Minzy out, to which she whimpers it’s like facing her father. That begs the question of how old her parents are, and she replies, “48.” Suk-jin: “We’re friends!” aka the same year. Ha.

It’s no surprise that Kwang-soo’s attempt to charge at Jong-kook only results in his own elimination. Then Suk-jin gets that gleam in his eye and then pushes SpartAce into the water. Whoa.

He takes on CL with that extra boost of confidence, and then engages in a dance-off against Minzy, whose remarkable center of gravity comes into play once more. Then it’s as if you can see Suk-jin’s fiery greed for victory: “I’m not going to lose!”

Minzy evades another one of his attacks, and then pushes Suk-jin into the water for the win.

Things are just as chaotic in the third round as Suk-jin vows to take his revenge on Minzy…but he ends up falling head-first into the pool. Hahaha.

At one point, Minzy takes the opportunity to send three people in all at once. What makes this moment brilliant is CL’s legitimately shocked reaction. HA.

Now only the 2NE1 ladies remain, and Dara hilariously uses her hair to swat Bom away. Then CL pushes the unnis into the water. As CL and Minzy both try to push the other towards the edge, Suk-jin calls out from the sidelines, “You have to win Minzy! It’ll be weird if you don’t!”

Both ladies are equally strong, but it’s Minzy who gains the upper hand, and wins the second mission for her team. Then we get an update on the teams’ water count: Pink (17L), Green (15L), and Orange (12L).

Oooh, the cast arrives at the YG building, which is pretty exciting given that it’s plain difficult for the general public to gain entry. Here the teams will collect hints and head out to the final mission location.

The Green Team has an obvious disadvantage since they don’t know their way around. But never fear—the staff has brought in a special guest: Taeyang. Eee!

The teams start out with a crossword puzzle, and it occurs to me that crosswords in Korean are more difficult to construct than in English. I mean, you’re working with combinations of characters versus a letter!

It cracks me up that the other teams are perplexed at the clue “What doesn’t Kwang-soo have?” Answer: Loyalty. Ha, figures.

Once the teams solves their crosswords, they get yet another puzzle which links them to a different YG artist. The Green and Pink Teams meet up with Akdong Musician, the duo who won the second season of Kpop Star.

They’ll be given a mashup of songs and will need to identify each song along with how many there are. Oy, the blend is virtually indecipherable.

Meanwhile, the Orange Team meets with Lee Hi, a Kpop Star Season 1 contestant, and are told to collect 4 liters of water with a 3L and 5L pitcher. Wait, this involves math? *conks out*

Bom is surprised when maknae Minzy correctly identifies an old classic. Their team is still unable to figure out the last song, so Myuk PD offers to give a hint if they know one of Akdong Musician’s songs.

It turns out Kwang-soo is a fan, and he sings a line or two. But his attempt to harmonize doesn’t work, and Bom jokingly accuses him of flirting with Soo-hyun. They gain the hint, which is enough for them to correctly guess the last song.

CL figures out the water puzzle, and their next hint takes everyone down to the dance studio.

The teams equip themselves with pedometers, and Jae-suk jokes that it feels like he’s in an audition. The Pink Team goes up first, and Minzy shows off her impressive dance skills. Then Kwang-soo follows it up with his classic robotic dance. HA.

Their total count is 705, but it’s too high. Ah, so either the teams have to hit a sweet spot with their pedometer count or guess the correct room number.

How is it that Jong-kook’s dance skills still look like a workout? Then Taeyang takes the spotlight, and what’s hilarious is that Jae-suk imitates his moves in the background.

Ack, then it’s just icing on the cake when Jong-kook pulls out the ol’ hip-hop dance imitation of Mr. YG, Yang Hyun-seok. Older RM fans might identify it as the “walking through the door” dance.”

Aw, it looks like everyone’s having so much fun, which makes this game so awesome.

After the Orange Team’s turn, the Ace Trainee aka Jae-suk jokes that Haha doesn’t cut it for this group, to which Haha cries: “I’ve been training for a year!” Jae-suk: “I’ve been training for thirty years!” LOL.

But alas, their total is too high as well. At least the target number is different for each team, and they try to figure out what it may be.

Jae-suk is absolutely hilarious, imitating Taeyang’s moves one right after another with great enthusiasm. At one point, he dances right up to the camera, and the ladies have to pull him back. He’s surprised to find his own total to be so low… and then the clip reveals his pedometer was on the other arm. Puhahaha.

The Orange Team is the first one to correctly guess their next hint, and they head up to the gym. They try out some of the machines to find any hidden clues, but they’re clean. However, they do come across a small safe.

The Green Team is busy trying to find theirs too, and when Jong-kook points out the oddity of the safe, Taeyang’s like, I don’t know if that’s supposed to be there or not. Pfft.

The teams discover a music sheet and a calendar that only contains the month of February. Then CL guesses that the musical notes correspond to the dates on the calendar. It works.

Her teammates are impressed, and Gary trails behind her, saying, “I need an intelligent woman like you!”

Both the Orange and Pink teams race to the roof. It’s the Orange Team who gets their first, where their water liters await them. The other teams are drained of yet more water, and then Taeyang asks, “Do we have to drink all of [that water]?”

The aliens are transported to the final mission location where they’ll have to search for the hidden water liters. The first team to reach twenty one liters wins. The initial count: Pink (15L), Green (11L), and Orange (10L).

They search the grounds, and Dara discovers a 2L jug. But Suk-jin is eager to steal it away from her… and takes off with it. Aww.

She gets it back and hands it off to Gary, who tosses it back-and-forth with Haha a few times. But then one bad catch leads to the jug to burst onto the ground. Whoops.

Thankfully, Dara is quick on her feet and she squeezes the water from her shirt to collect the remaining liquid. Her teammates follow suit, and Suk-jin can only gape: “That actually works?”

Elsewhere, Minzy finds another container and her teammates help her try to get back without garnering too much attention. By grabbing a few empty bottles, they create a diversion just long enough for Minzy to swoop in and pour the water in.

To Jong-kook’s luck, he discovers a water jug and rushes back. Kwang-soo catches up to him and briefly pants him. However, it doesn’t deter Jong-kook to pour the rest in.

Suk-jin sticks to his “collect the excess water” method by cleaning the table with a spare towel. It turns out to be a pretty decent strategy, and when Kwang-soo returns to try that same method, he catches the droplets with his own towel. Heh.

He even pours out the remaining water from the jugs, all, You have to conserve water!

I love how this running joke keeps going, and the Easy Brothers go back-and-forth trying to catch the water from each other’s towels. They’re initially scolded by Jong-kook, but it’s not long before Spartakooks also starts wiping the table, too.

Kwang-soo discovers another jug and decides to drink a mouthful. I’m here thinking that the chipmunk cheek tactic is going to work against them, and yet, it creates enough of a distraction for Jae-suk to try and sneak in another liter.

The water spills over the sides, and the Pink Team is still a hair short of the necessary twenty one liters. Time to scoop up the extra water again!

Dara and Jong-kook spot another water bottle at the same time, but it’s Jong-kook who grabs it first and races back to the table. Cut to: Kwang-soo doubled over the Green Team’s water collector. HA.

Kwang-soo remains in that position as Minzy and Jae-suk try to wrench the jug from Jong-kook’s tight grip. The water spills onto the ground, but Bom has caught some on a towel.

She runs to squeeze the water into her team’s collector… and hits the twenty one liter mark. As the Pink Team celebrates their victory, a golden UFO rises from the collector. At Jong-kook’s suggestion (and Kwang-soo’s astonishment) the gold is gifted to the 2NE1 members.

Haha, I'll explain it!
The girls (guests), aka 2NE1 are artists from YG, a kpop company. So YG artists rarely appear on variety shows because of various reasons. "Blackjacks" refers to to fans of 2NE1; it's the official fanclub name. So to sum it all up, 2NE1 fans are going to be super happy to see their idols.

This ep had me laughing from beginning to end. 2NE1 turned out to be formidable guests with a great sense of humor and a willingness to dive in head first to the variety pool. Good job, ladies!

How funny was it when Jae-suk was giving Kookie the business about Eun-hye and Minzy?! A new love line, indeed.

Taeyang's appearance was practically a drive-by, it was so short - and never got to say goodbye, either. Silly fill in.

Thanks for the recap. Looking forward to tomorrow's RM. It's supposed to be a takeoff on IHYV? Woot!!

I wished that instead of Taeyong, the staff/YG should have chosen Daesung 'cause he is close with Jaesuk-oppa and Jongkook-hyung.. also, so that he can join with that silly dance on the gym made by Jaesuk-oppa & kwangsoo-hyung, then the Dumb & Dumber brothers is reunited ! :{D some said that Ms. Ji hyun is awkward here.. but i'm thanking her that she's reserved and kind to share the spotlight with the guest and her co-artists.. ^_^

nevertheless, I love this episode, I mean, Savanna & ms.Gummy are correct. It really keeps me wondering why the YG artists are very kept tightly by their boss knowing that they are friendly & fun groups to be with, especially 2ne1.. they are very wacky to the max! Did they planned the 2nd round where the remaining were the 2ne1 members only? LOLz Ate sanDara is so hilarious, using her hair against ms.Bom! LOLz wooow Minzy is so cool with her moves & humble strength.. and CL is so beautiful here.. her new hair suits her.. :D

I love all running man shows though I haven't seen them all. But I just love the theme of the show.. Because it's unique compared to the most common talk shows.. It is a game-comedy variety show.. it's so FUN ! :D I love also the staffs behind the scenes 'cause its so hard to organize a program within a one week time but since its their job.. oh well.. i am just amazed with their effort.. :) so please, be kinder with your comments, sweethearts..

Thank you ms.Gummy for all the reviews from all the Running Man episodes! :D i can't see all episodes so instead I just read your recap.. ^ ^

can somebody share a eng sub of this ep? thanks in advance !

If they are ever lucky enough to book 2NE1 again, I'll be watching excitedly.

(And the wifi hair comments? I loved them!)

Well, Dara and her palm tree hairstyle never gets old (or better yet, are inseperable)
Especially from her older fans (way back 2004) in the Philippines (since anyone covering Dara always do her hairstyle way back "Fire")

THIS. My heart did flutter. And not just a little. One of these days, Jong Kook is gonna kill me.

Overall, this episode was fun. 2NE1 were not awesome guests but they did a great job considering they are not exposed to the variety world as much as other artists. And I oficially love Minzy, the girl was awesome.

Go to gooddrama.com ... they have all the Running Man episodes with english subs...

and this was a neat episode considering that 2ne1 members are not used to variety shows... there were some moments when they looked lost but their effort shows... I especially loved the 'earthly items' that they have to tote around... whoever thought of them is a genius... CL had a baby stroller and Bom lugged a heavy cello suitcase, and Kwang Soo with a mannequin LOL... but Haha was so clever for asking a woman with a baby to use the tent he was hiding in...

they need to go on the show again, 2ne1 went all out!
I love this episode because it shows such a different side of 2ne1 (which means they need more variety shows appearance) and all the RM members accommodated well with them, they made it super funny.
It's been a long time since I enjoyed such a RM episode (the last couple ones weren't so funny and pulling me in), but this one, wow!
I can rewatch this again plus Bommie is super cute~
and strong Minzy!

2NE1 did an interview quite recently where they said that they will be doing a lot more variety this time around because they want to shed their 'tough unnies' image so you can look forward to that.

When I think "tough unnies", I think Brown Eyed Girls - not 2NE1. Most of it is just an image on stage.

I agree that it's just a stage image (they always seem fairly sweet and almost shy off stage) but given how often I've seen YG artists complain about it being difficult for them to befriend other artists (given that they go on music shows less often and rarely do variety), I can see how a lot of people would probably find them hard to approach. It's hard to even meet them plus YG artists in general tend to have a colder, more in your face, chic, almost bombastic sort of image so I guess they probably seem pretty intimidating within the idol ranks.

Surprisingly, 2ne1 had chemistry with RM members. They seemed to be having a lot fun hence it translated well with the viewers. Props to YJS cause he really lead the casts and guest well. But add to my enjoyment is the fact that Ji Suk Jin was able to shine here. Him vs Minzy and then during the water collection.

:)

Thank you for the recap!

Honestly any RM episode that includes Jaesuk and Kwangsoo dancing is a hit in my books. I laughed and laughed and then laughed some more. That could have been the whole hour, tbh. I just love how excited Jaesuk got, especially when he started copying Taeyang's moves during the other team's part and then when the others started teasing him and telling him to just go play at clubs, it killed me. He must really love to dance.

Suk Jin killed me during the water fight as well. What a time for him to suddenly try to steal the spotlight. I loved him actually outing his own teammates. The betrayer instinct is strong in this one, lmao.

I thought 2NE1 were good enough, considering they've done so little variety. Minzy was really surprisingly strong. I was really impressed at how well she was able to do during the water fight portion and CL seemed quite clever as well. I had to laugh at how puzzled Haha and Gary seemed at the puzzles in the YG building.

It was nice of them to add Taeyang to the green team to help them out but Taeyang himself was so understated, although that's generally how he is off stage. I barely even heard his voice and would it have killed him to take off the shades or the bandana? lol, it looked like he was trying to hide from paparazzi or something. WE KNOW IT'S YOU, TAEYANG. YOU'RE NOT FOOLING ANYONE.

Anyway, this was a fun episode. I was a little hesitant with the alien thing at first but it ended up being really entertaining. I even had to laugh at all the towel shenanigans and the attempts to hide the found water bottles at the end.

I laughed like a crazy woman during the dancing segment. So funny. I thought 2NE1 gave a good account of themselves, seeing how they hardly go on variety shows.

LEE KWANG SOO. Well, some might think it was genius of him and oh so variety and funny, but I'm seriously seriously sick of seeing him mess with Jong Kook and whichever team Jong Kook is in. Poor guy ran like crazy finding the most water out of anyone, only for LKS to spoil his chances again. I know LKS got a lot of crap for what he did, and deservedly so. I hope he finds a new schtick. Oh well, I guess the water blocking is better than the episodes where he just outright kicks Jong Kook *roll eyes*

I'm not sure if you know but they are really good friends and that's Kwang Soo's "persona" on RM. It's funny BECAUSE he's behaving so outrageously disrespectful to an older bro who can snap him in half and you see him instantly go into the submissive position once KJK has had enough of it.

To put it another way it's like when it's a somewhat funny situation when you have 2 dogs in the same household and the little one is always trying to bully the bigger one that just takes it.

Required fields are marked *

Yes, I think everyone knows they are great friends. But enough is enough. Its a one way street now, with LKS doing the "bullying" most of the time. Only when LKS bullies does KJK "retaliate". If KJK did what LKS did, I'm sure everyone will cry foul since it seems like KJK can do nothing right.

Its funny for eg JSJ in this ep screws his team. Because he doesnt do it that frequently. But LKS has been doing his schtick practically every episode in the last couple of months.

I actually didn't like this episode as much as other Running Man episodes because I felt like they were actually a little uncomfortable with each other although Minzi's activeness help to fade those feelings away. However, I was still surprised by CL's smartness, Minzi's variety skills, Bom's frank remarks, and Dara's effort.

Perso, I didn't find this episode that hilarious. Maybe because I wasn't in good mood that day (I had to meet my step mother LOL) but yeah, there were funny moments but that's all.
When they clapped and nicknamed Minzy the second Yoon Eun Hye, I was just MEH. I don't even know why.
Maybe because I ain't a 2NE1's fan, I didn't share the joy of seeing the girls in RM and didn't quite understand the antics and all. I guess for me, previous episodes were funnier but glad they got good reviews for their participation and I'm sure they are going to improve their variety skills by going in TV more often but for me, it didn't work.

I think somewhere along the line the Minzy as the new female warrior thing become rather scripted and she was 'allowed' to win to make it work more, but that justis just vartiery I guess and on the whole it was not a bad episode and they all seemed to have fun.

I guess I enjoyed this episode overall. My expectations are usually very low when a group of girls comes on, but they weren't playing damsel in distress, so I was surprised and pleased (I don't know anything about 2NE1). It did get really boring at the YG building, although I crack up any time YJS dances. And LKS dance will never get old to me.

JSJ stole the show during that water game! He was absolutely hilarious.

Despite being one of Taeyang's biggest fans....and a 2NE1 fan...gotta say I dropped this episode half way through...i absolutely LOVE Minzy...she's so real and really seemed to be getting into the whole thing...the others (Dara, Bom and CL) were plain boring and trying way to hard on screen....gahhh....and even my Taeyang couldnt save this episode...

Needless to say, I am rooting for Minzy to be a permanent cast member on some variety show...something that shows her skills, like this one =)

2ne1 was a bit awkward at first 2 parts, but starting from the YG building part until the end, they brought it! Despite not being used to variety, they did really good. I watched 2ne1tv and they're hilarious by themselves, especially bom and Dara, so hopefully they'll get used to working with others outside their company soon, coz they have high variety potential.

This episode was fun! I had a lot of fun laughing hehe

While YJS dancing is always fun to watch, I really wanted to see Gary's dancing. The cast really allowed 2NE1 be showcased - solving the puzzles. KJK busting out the "hip hop 101" move was fun to see again. Thanks for the recap.

the cast let 2NE1 lead th

Ok so YG seriously needs to bring their people to variety more often!

Dara's "Wi-Fi" hair... I cracked up when she got into the car and the hair actually stuck out the roof window xD But she put it to good use agaunst Bom which had me in stitches :D

The dance battle... I could have watched this forever! They had so much fun (and dance machine Yoo Hyuk is always hilarious to watch).

Overall it was an entertaining episode with great guests :)

I watched it the day it aired and enjoyed it...it was cute

Minzy just going all out, CL working her mind, Bom with no filter, and Dara being cute LOL

RM were also like...Hey! 2NE1 doesn't go on variety so let's make this awesome

That was one of the funnier episodes in a long time . . . the pool battle was especially hilarious, and I couldn't stop laughing when Suk-jin turned against his team in order to become the "hero", only to fail and get eliminated by Minzy in the end.

I'm not a huge fan of k-pop, but 2NE1 is actually one of the few groups I've listened to and actually liked, so it was fun getting to see them in a different light (not to mention Jae-suk mimicking their dance from 'I Don't Care', lol). I hope they guest-star again in the future. ^_^

I'm no blackjack but I was still so excited to see 2NE1 on the show!

You could tell that they were shy but they still gave it their all which is awesome; I love it when female idols are actually game to play and have fun i.e. Bom charging into the water fight and Minzy's take-no-prisoners approach lol. Like I think almost all episodes where the female guests are put on a pedestal as 'puregoddessofbeauty damsel-in-distress whatever' are guarenteed to bore me to tears. So in a way, 2NE1's scary unnis image worked in their favour.

And the dance time was an epic WIN. Seriously, I could prolly watch a whole ep just of YJS gettin' his groove on.

this episode had its moments. Minzy reminded me a lot of Yoon Eun Hye during her Xman days. The girl is pretty strong. Anyone else noticed a lot of the members disappeared during the last game at the park?

The whole episode pulled me in considering as fans, we rarely get to see 2NE1 on variety shows. They definitely did seem cautious at first but it was evident that they tried, which is what one as a viewer would like to see out of the guests.

The fun moments for me, Minzy dominating during the water games with help from Suk-jin, Dara swatting away at Bom's face and Bommie's reaction, CL solving the puzzle, the end games, overall, it was pretty fun.

Also, Bom's reactions were hilarious and adorable. XD

I admit, I was angry initially when Kwang Soo block Jong Kook from winning because I see Jong Kook literally ran so hard since they are short of one member. But after watching for a second time with eng sub, I can tell myself that is just a variety show and I am not going to let the ending spoilt the process of watching a fun episode.

From the start, green team was short of a member and tae yang only appears in YG building. Why?

I agree that Kwang Soo bullying Jong Kook is getting too much and repetitive. Not to say Jong Kook never bully anyone, just that Kwang Soo really seem too much at times.. I know they were close but.. Jong kook barks more and Kwang Soo hit more.

Ji Hyo was sidelined again but expected since 2ne1 is here. But I like the water game because Ji suk Jin did an unexpected thing.. still he is too weak. My heart flutter when Jong Kook lifted up Minzy and place her in water. Spartace goes easy to 2Ne1 obviously but Minzy is indeed strong. But she is not going to replace warrior Eun Hye. Maybe another tittle for her instead.

The dance studio game was fun too. I like Yoo Jae suk and Kwang Soo dance. Dumb and dumber is always hilarious! Ji hyo with her cute dance and Jong kook with his work out dance! Lol. Anyone notice Jong Kook can actually dance to Big Bank Fantastic Baby!!! He look cute and cool at the same time.

2Ne1 is new to variety so it was great for their first attempt and Running Man did help to make the guests feel comfortable. Minzy - Strong, Cl - smart, Bom - not much impression but she did attempt to talk and interact with Kwang Soo, Dara - cute wi-fi.

Thank you for review.

I HAVE to watch it anyhow just for 2NE1. A Blackjack here and a VIP! I don't usually watch RM but whenever I do it cracks me up mostly but the loud shouting and my inability to understand the game plan and Korean keeps me away from it...
It would be really nice if someone could direct me towards the download link of this episode with English subbed. My net is very slow so I'll download it tomorrow in the office and watch it... Yes, 2NE1 on variety shows are as rare as white elks so I am pretty excited. I lap everything that is 2NE1 or BIG BANG.... 2NE1! So excited to see my Bommie, Minzie, CL and Dara again...

This is an okay episode. Yes, there are some funny moments but nothing's special.
I am a fan of Yoon Eun Hye, and it's just bring me to bad mood when they are trying to take Sonyeo Jangsa (Young Girl Warrior) title from Yoon Eun Hye to Minzy so easily. It makes me feel they have no respects to Eun Hye performance back then in X Man. The nickname is attached to Yoon Eun Hye for her almost two years on X Man, and even till now it's irreplaceable. It would be better if they were just thinking of another nickname than stealing from other.

I don't really watch running man but since I'm a blackjack, I made sure to tune in for this one. I found it pretty funny and enjoyable throughout. Minzy is super strong lol. I loved her the most in this episode! CL seemed a little shy but she figured out the puzzles rather quickly. Dara and Bom were cute but a bit forgettable here. Super glad to see my Tae Yang even though he didn't do much (I will never tire of seeig him dance!). Felt like the episode was a YG promotion with cameos from their newer artists and shooting at the YG building. Nonetheless, loved it and hope to see 2NE1 and other YG artists doing variety more :).
