Heirs holds script rehearsal, begins production

I’m pretty sure we’ve exhausted our stores of what there is to say about Heirs, the much-buzzed-about new high school trendy drama featuring a cast of uber-rich characters. And the show has only just started production. We’ve certainly been hearing about it for months, though, and every time I’ve thought they were done casting, they went and added even more young hot things. As though Lee Min-ho, Park Shin-hye, Kim Woo-bin, and Choi Jin-hyuk weren’t reasons enough to tune in.

But as you can see in the script reading photos above/below, there are many more in the mix, including but probably not limited to: Kang Haneul (Monstar), Park Hyung-shik (Nine), Kang Min-hyuk (CN Blue and You’ve Fallen For Me), Im Joo-eun (Wild Romance), and Krystal (of f(x) and High Kick 3). One wonders: At what point are there TOO many young stars in a cast—is there such a thing?—dividing our attentions and not giving anybody quite enough screen time?

In fact, I’m pretty sure this show has been hyped enough that it’s time we deflate the balloon of expectations a bit, lest it pop in our faces. At least there’s only one more month left till Heirs premieres, on October 9. One full, long, whooooole month.

SO MUCH EYE CANDY!!! But if the story is rubbish, i'm bailing out. Life is too short for bad dramas (or maybe I was burnt abit too badly from the mess that was AGD)

So many familiar faces at this script reading. And Lee Min-ho's is the most familiar of all, lol. I definitely also plan to not let any expectations rise for this show - I can't handle the emotional fallout, lol.

I don't know...I liked the original dream high, where there were a lot of idol casts but I couldn't stand BoF. I like Lee Minho in City Hunter, but I wasn't a fan of Faith.

I will just have to wait and see.

I agree...that was because the girl in BOF sucked and so did the lead female of Faith! Both didn't work for me either. City hunter was great because Park Min Young was awesome with LMH!

Excuse me while I step aside a minute and swap out the critical thinking portion of my brain for the shallow eye-candy craving portion. There... Okay. Now I'm ready for Heirs. I expect the story to be trite, the characters to be shallow, and the stupidity to be global, but boy I can't wait! I'm ready to forgive this pretty show all of its impending sins. Yes, I am.

Man! Can't wait for this one! LMH being paired against a younger actress. Thank god for that. I was sick of him being paired against actresses much older to him (personal preference and faith)! Can't wait Can't wait Can't wait

Sooo excited for this!! I was so on board when I heard that LMH AND PSH were casted as the leads :D I'm really excited to see how they will work out together. And then, when I see who the rest of the cast is, I couldn't be happier. Especially CJH, loved him on Gu Family Book, glad to see him again. Yep, this cast is pretty cool to me ^_^ And you know, there's this thing about LMH. Every drama that I've seen him in thus far, that drama becomes one of my favorites. BOF, City Hunter, Personal Taste....but not Faith, I couldn't watch that. I hope for the best! I'm sticking with this show until the end. October hurry up please!

haha i've been reading the comments waiting for this. fangirls are usually quick to point that ABC actress looks old or is too old for the male lead and the role. LMH, even w/ his attempt to look younger with backward cap, does not remotely look like a high schooler. still looks good, but isn't there anyone else in the K-drama land who can act this role?

Choi Jim hyuk looks surprisingly good in that simple white shirt I must say. For me it's him, woo bin and kang ha neul.

Going in with low expectations so I can enjoy the pretty even if the plot is just passable. The show's definitely one of the most buzz worthy this year, hope it delivers with plot + pretty!

Will watch this just for Lee Min Ho alone. But given the cast, the story (hoping that it's a fluffy if cliche plot that still manages to deliver) I'm definitely in for the ride!

I must say bless the stylists. I always love script reading pictures because this is the way they dress and do their own hair in real life. With a few notable exceptions, so many of them look completely ordinary and perfectly lovely for their ordinariness.
