Joo-won to quit 1 Night 2 Days

Welp, Joo-won is quitting 1 Night 2 Days, which puts another nail in that show’s coffin. It’s not quite dead yet, but I don’t know how much longer we can expect it to hang on.
Joo-won will be going on his last 1N2D trip next week, according to his reps, who confirmed that his schedule will be too busy to permit him to continue with the show. I’m more amazed that he lasted this long, because he (like his fellow castmates who are also drama actors) has been shooting the variety program concurrently through multiple drama projects, taking every other weekend off from filming one show to film the other. Since he’s been a member of 1N2D, Joo-won has done the dramas Gaksital, Level 7 Civil Servant, and the currently airing Good Doctor.
What’s funny is that even with all those crazy filming schedules, it’s after a drama wraps that he’ll finally be too swamped. His reps stated that he will be immediately beginning rehearsals for his upcoming musical, Ghost, and also turning his attention to overseas promotional activities that he’s pushed back till now.
KBS has stated that they will not be looking to replace Joo-won, which means that for the time being they’ll be continuing on with the six other members. Aw, what will they do without their aegyo-loving maknae puppy boy? Who will win all the speed races and be the adoring little bro now?
Admittedly I haven’t been watching 1N2D for a while now, but it’s still sad to see it sink into its current state of decline. Once the king of all variety programs with monster ratings, now it’s struggling to compete with its competitors; its ratings have been in upper single digits, with the last one drawing a mere 8.0%. I have caught a few episodes here and there since we gave up recapping the show, and it’s not terrible. It’s just that it’s become really quite forgettable, and sometimes I lose interest halfway through a trip and never remember to finish watching it. KBS has stated that they are NOT canceling 1N2D… for now. We’ll see how long that lasts.

I think among the other members, it will break Sikyung's heart the most. It looks obvious that he adores Joowon so much. Now he has to find someone to channel his adoration to. Jongmin? LOL

Huhuhuhuhu! I diligently continued to watch this show and now he is leaving?!? Hope he comes back when his schedule is all good. Will the musical be filmed after its run in South korea? How can I get copies of his movies and dramas and musicals?

Lets see what we have with the remaining six: Su & Jin, two old farts, banter and fool around everytime; Tae & Tae, two appas, always in sync; Sikyung & Jongmin, two oppas, forever tom & jerry with total opposite personalites. Yeah, I think I'm still in for the show :)

i have been a huge fan of 2d1n for years and watched every ep of it. honestly, the new pd finally made me wants to REALLY watch 2d1n again. the good thing is they (the members) can play games without having one of them being the judge or ref or whatsoever. they can just play the game in 2 teams equally divided :D the bad thing is we cant watch joowon every weekend now *sigh*

Every one is fair excellent on this show they are great and super funny, which makes me attractive impressed with Joo Won the prince of caring person and he genuinely enjoy interacting with others. I watch them because of Joo Won is just good all that he does. I watch him back and port with his drama and 1n2d also to relieve my stress away before bed. Hope to see good things in the new six members...you can always find the next new thing___it's about the producer...nothing last forever waaaahhhhh I will miss him so bad. PLEASE MAKE HIM STAY!!!

I think if this show needs to survive, then they need to bring back the old casts, which include HoDong, Seungi, JiWon, Kim C, MC Mong, only then the show would be unbreakable.
Honestly, I don't really mind if Joo Won leaves, no offense to Joo Won's fans, but in my opinion, he's no where near Seungi's level in variety skill. However, he is definitely a really good actor. :-)

i will still watch 1n2d coz it was my first ever favourite variety show...and i'll watch it for Jongmin and sugeun..and I think Joowon really has no choice..he does look very tired on the show..

2 days 1 night is still airing and i am very freaking happy. It started in 2007 to now. So with or without Joowon the show is still on and now with new members. I loved all the members from season 1 to now. I still love the old members from my heart and also i love the new members too. I don't favour any of them. I love them all equally. You stopped watching the show because you are not a true fan. If you watched the show you can see how close all of them are and how sometimes you see their emotions and their true side which will make you love them more. And 2 days 1 night continued even when in season 2 they had low ratings. Why..? Because the staff and everyone knows the 2d1n have a lot of potential. And now matter what happens if we compare which variety show is better if it comes to choosing between 2 days and 1 night VS Running Man..... 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT WINS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT !! ( NO OFFENCE )
