Jung Woo and Lee Kwang-soo as potential Good Friends

They’re calling this the match-up of the It Boys: Jung Woo (currently winning hearts—and breaking them, sniff—in Answer Me 1994) and Running Man/Nice Guy/Goddess of Fire Jung-yi star Lee Kwang-soo are both up for a new movie titled Good Friends. Both sides have confirmed receiving offers and are reportedly in the “considering favorably” stage of the press cycle.
There are actually three friends at the center of the film, which means one role is still open; start drafting your wish lists now! In the movie, the trio have been tight friends since their school days, and the film follows them as they act upon good intentions to help each other… but in doing so get caught up in crime. My interest is certainly piqued, though I really wish these companies could give their plot descriptions a little more detail. Too much vagueness makes my imagination go wild, which isn’t always a good thing.
With Answer Me 1994 only at its halfway point, Jung Woo is mostly focused on his drama and his reps have cautiously said that while he is considering the offer, it’s too early to make a decision. The film plans to begin filming at the end of December.

Is it funny how I initially liked Bread Man from IU's drama bc he reminded me of Gwang soo?? LOLOL. And now they're paired together for movie, unbelievable.. Both tall and tend to play characters that are goofy. Actually, the only reason why I watched Nice Guy (and I rarely watch dramas) was for the giraffe. :)

But I think he dropped it and his role will be replaced by jung woo. "Actor Kang Dong Won was part of the initial cast, but his decision to star in the film fell through due to conflict in schedule." (Cr: soompi)

Jung woo really caught his big break with Reply 1994. He definitely deserves it, but it's so interesting how one minute you can be a nobody in the business and then the guy everyone wants to cast and photograph and interview.

So true, I love him ever since the movie "He Was Cool" he remind me of my favorite character "Garra" carrying around that container on his back...lol! Unfortunately the only break out star from that movie was Song Seung Hun. Jung Woo is a really funny actor, to me comedy it the hardest to get right, everything else is gravy. I don't think he was just sitting around in the background he could have complete his education and did his military service and then decide to come back in truly focus on acting.....

All it takes really is a hit project to be put in the limelight. For some, it takes a few years, others it might take 10 years.
But jung woo has the talent, and i'm glad that he's finally being recognized.
I'm worried about his health if he does choose to take it, because answer me 1994 would have barely finished by the time Good Friends starts filming. Meaning, barely any resting period. And already you could see jung woo's health deteriorating in AM1994.

Interesting. Love both of these guys and it'll be a treat to see them together. If they accept, that is.
The third friend? Hmmm. Maybe Yoon Shi-yoon? He's a dork too. But his drama is coming up so no. Joo Won? Three tall guys together? Or maybe Lee Dong-wook? Haven't see him in anything since Heaven's Mandate. Too many good actors to choose from! I'll be happy with whoever!

I really hope Kwang Soo signs the film because I believe he has so much potential to be more than just comic relief and from the sounds of this film it'll give him more room to explore his acting abilities.
As for Jung Woo I love that Answer Me 94 has opened doors for him, I can understand why his still considering since the drama doesn't end til Dec so it may be a close call in jumping from one project to another.
As for the third friend this may be random but how about Bae Soo Bin or So Ji Sub ?!

even I'm not watching Potato Star frequently, but I'm so happy to watch Potato Star cameo. Mostly Lee Jong Suk scene, doing some parody of his latest drama, I Hear Your Voice with Granpa. Aaakkk, Jung Wong In as Chul Min Dog is soooo funny. I cant stop to laughs, LOL.
