Happy birthday to our favorite dramaland alien: Kim Soo-hyun turned 26 over the weekend, while filming his current drama You From Another Star. (His boss/manager/sunbae Bae Yong-joon, who runs Keyeast (which reps Kim), reportedly sent a lunch for 150 to the set of the drama, serving up seaweed soup (birthday soup).)

me too! whenever i see him (in dramas after dream high), i always say, 'oh why does he always take roles which are older than his actual age.' now i realize i was wrong. he's not that young anymore. in fairness to him, his look is for early 20's guy. young and handsome! yummy if i may add! hahah

I just found out that Ahn Jae-hyun who plays Cheon Song-Yi's younger brother Yoon-jae is actually older than Kim Soo-Hyun by a year. It makes that chocolate milk scene much funnier just thinking about it, hahaha

But in korea since kim soo hyun was born in februari so he is chingu with 1987.. so basically yoon jae his chingu... u know what I mean? Right? And that was my favorite scene between young jae and min joon... so cute!

Bae Yong Joon really knows how to take care of Kim Soo Hyun(who often mentions him in his award speeches), and you can tell KSH is one of his favorites along with Kim Hyun Joong(it must be hard to see his boys competing in the same time-slot).
Bae Yong Joon is constantly tracking each of KSH projects, giving advice, sending him vitamins on the set of MTETS because KSH looked overworked/tired onscreen, and now sending food trucks to a filming site because of his birthday (its been reported this is not common in drama production for an agency to do this. usually you just get cake on set). No wonder KSH is loyal to Keyeast; they've shown alot of support for each of his projects. And i say they're being smart because their agency has really grown in recent years.
For four straight years KSH has been celebrating his birthday on set -- starting with Dream high 2011, MTETS in 2012, Secretly greatly in 2013, and now YFAS in 2014. This ambitious boy never takes long breaks and continues to show his dedication to this profession even with smiles through the difficult filming -- all of which occur in the coldest days of the year. Happy Birthday to our lovely alien boy.

@samina, if you saw Reply 1994, the cake would make sense. :) There was a really memorable scene where the 2nd lead actor made a mess on prounouncing the french name Tous Les Jours! :) Kim Soo Hyun cake was apparently brought from that place.
