girlfriday: NoooooooooOOOOOooooo. Yunho is the latest addition to MBC’s fantasy sageuk The Records of a Night Watchman.
javabeans: I… am going to be positive about this. I have to be positive about this. My mental health depends on it.
girlfriday: Positive. Right. Searching for the silver lining…
javabeans: Maybe he took acting lessons? Maybe he learned how to emote onscreen? Maybe he learned how to say lines like a normal human?
girlfriday: Maybe he plays a character who doesn’t speak? Maybe he’s a ghost?
javabeans: Sadly (I mean, uh, happily!) he plays a human (which is where having spent the past few months, hopefully, enrolled in human-emotion acting classes will really pay off) who sees ghosts. But on the upside, he is “a cold-hearted man of few words.” Score?
girlfriday: It also says he’s popular with the ladies, but only has eyes for one girl.
javabeans: That’s good for him, because there’s nothing like heartbreak to draw the viewer’s sympathy, and we all know his acting won’t do that.
girlfriday: You mean, it WILL, because of all those classes! What happened to the positivity, man?
javabeans: Oh, right. Yes. The heartbreak will be exxxxxtra heartbreaky because he will have learned how to act it so well. Maybe he got his heart broken in real life recently!
girlfriday: Poor Yunho. Sometimes I feel bad for being mean, but I swear, it’s not personal. We would LOVE it if you were better!
javabeans: I actually really like him as a person (as far as I can tell from his variety persona), which is why I feel so bad for having such a visceral reaction, like seriously gag reflex level, to the thought of him acting in things.
girlfriday: And more importantly, why does he have to do it near Jung Il-woo???
javabeans: You’re making it really hard to be positive, you know. Maybe they will have mad bro chemistry. Maybe they will be the opposite of Yunho and Siwon in Poseidon, who were supposed to have intense rivalry-chemistry, and instead made me confused about what they were feeling. Siwon would be appropriately angry, and Yunho would look nice and then say mean things. The words said one thing, and the face said another. I was super confused in that show.
girlfriday: But that’s all in the past, right? Because three years is plenty of time to get your brain re-wired for emoting and stuff!
javabeans: I want to say more positive things, but honestly, the nicest thing I can say is “He seems nice in real life?”
girlfriday: That counts for something.
javabeans: I suppose I could be worse…
girlfriday: It could be Changmin?
javabeans: Or he could be the funny guy and not have to emote!
girlfriday: Yes, because he surely took comedy acting classes alongside the human emoting ones!
javabeans: That sounds entirely possible and even plausible. Yep.

I love Yunho but acting is not his thing. But let's be positive... Maybe this is his chance?
About your Changmin comment...I must differ. I actually prefer Changmin. I loved him in "Mimi", that minidrama was so beautiful. I haven't seen him act in anything else so I can't judge but in that drama I enjoyed his character a great deal.
Well, let's hope for the best. I really want this drama to be good. It's been ages since I saw some good Il Woo drama. I miss it!

Problem is that no matter how much one tries to learn acting skills, he needs some natural talent for acting to begin with. Making this man into a big actor can be his agent's agenda but I doubt it is working. Besides, he and JIL look alike a bit so JIL can easily outshine him. The problem in this drama is that not only Yuhno is a bad actor but two main female leads are relatively fresh so we do not know how good their acting skills are.The second lead was in 'Potato Star' and she was all right but she was cast as a pretty happy girl. In this drama her role is a complete opposite of what she played in the Potato Star. With those three unknown for their qualities, this drama carries a bit of a risk. Petition now!!

Hey JB and GF,
Is there anything on your policy on posting that covers excessive fan trolling?? It's getting pretty ridiculous on here and these worms that are coming out of the woodwork seem to be posting here only for the sole fact that this article is about Yun-ho -- otherwise they would NOT be posting comments about dramas. I find their crass blindness and their calls of being "cyber-bullied" -- when THEY are the ones slinging sewage on the regular posters here -- is disgusting. No one supposedly started a "fan war", we are just giving it like it is. Any way to block this atrociousness??

Dramabeans' Commenting Policy includes "no flaming/flamebaiting/trolling" and "don't be a douchebag" http://www.dramabeans.com/about/commenting-policy/ and these terms have been violated to the nth degree by the fangirls (or is it just one person using multiple names? The awful writing style is the same in a lot of the trolled comments).
Dramabeans isn't and shouldn't be the place for kpop fanwars, so please take the trolling elsewhere.

I only saw him once in a drama with Go Ara, that was long time ago.. But, I don’t think that he is as stiff as Taecyon! Eh ;-P
I don’t understand why ppl make it such a big deal.. JIL is not that great either, I’m a fan of JIL but I have to admit sometimes his acting a bit off too. (O.. O.. please don’t kill me fangirls!!)
Let’s hope that they will bring the best out in each other acting, JIL probably be the one who will lead the entire cast because he is the more experienced actor that Yunho and Go Sung Hee.

I'm just cracking up so hard right now........over 250+ comments here and the board has now officially devolved into a JYJ/tvxq fanwar (for no apparent reason other than the delusion that yunho acting bashing = jyj stan)
I'm going to be reading the weekly recaps (if DB chooses to do it) if for nothing else, just to read the mudslinging crap between these desperate fangirls.

Oh, yeah, his acting, except they are talking about everything but his acting skills ( the JYJ stans). And even Yunho fans are saying he needs to improve a lot or that he isn't good. But yeah, Yunho as a singer, as a dancer, in variety shows etc are sure about his acting.
And yes, jyj fans actually linking others about this article is happening... But keep saying that to yourself if it makes you feel better.

Oh my goodness, all you crazy people.
This is not a big deal. He either acts or he doesn't. You either watch or you don't. It's one tv show that lasts for what? Roughly 3 months? Skip if if you think he sucks. Watch something else, or read a book, or hang out with friends.
This is not worth tears and anger and ridicule and plots on facebook and petitions and fan wars. Will your life END if you miss this series, even if you like everyone else in it?
To me it just sounds like everyone needs a NAP and a reality check.
