Production in full swing for Temptation

Time to check in on SBS’s Temptation, which has been busily filming away in preparation for its premiere mid-month. I was actually expecting a bit more buzz from the promo machine given the high-profile reunion of Choi Ji-woo and Kwon Sang-woo, two of the mainstays of Hallyu 1.0, but perhaps there’s still time to build that up. (And overhyping has its own set of downsides, as I’m sure we’re all aware.)

I have to say that I find the initial tone set by the teasers to be promising, considering that this drama’s premise could easily skew tawdry and cheap: Rich woman decides to toy with a struggling everycouple just to prove how easily their love can be destroyed. But instead of going sexy and salacious, the promos seem to be taking a more highbrow approach to potential infidelity—more Secret Love Affair, say, and less weekend makjang extravaganza. (Take this assessment with a grain of salt, of course, since we don’t actually have that much material to judge on yet.)

The stills picturing Kwon Sang-woo in the company of Park Ha-sun, who plays his loyal wife, were taken on a location shoot to Hong Kong. I’ll admit that this doesn’t sound like my kind of drama, but I’m intrigued enough to give it a whirl, mostly because it looks pretty and I’m a sucker like that.

Temptation will be a Monday-Tuesday drama and premieres on July 14.

This drama turned out to be a hot mess. It was absolutely awful. I've never seen a drama where they had every character beat up on the betrayed wife--a sweet, kindhearted wife. They just didn't stop with the husband, the pimp CEO, but it was also done by her own brother and others. We held on to the end hoping that that the writer will help her find happiness, No. He turned, or tried to turn, this trashy story into love between a married man and the woman who bought him. By the end of this drama I hated the husband the most, then the CEO and the writer of this stupid drama.

I like that Choi Ji-woo is stretching herself to play a girl scout leader, apparently, from the badge on her sleeve, leading the "Pink Rabbit" brigade. How werry wascally of her.

Definitely a Secret Love Affair vibe in that teaser but the premise still leaves me cold. Maybe a twist? Will check the reviews for the first eps though.

I am not going to watch this drama but I have a question. How could a couple who is broke ( with billions won debt, they say) to go on a trip to Hong Kong? It`s weird.

The only interesting character for me is the rich lady.

Or they went before they got broke? Honeymoon?

Anyhow, it's interesting enough to tune in...

I love love the cast but the story is not appealing to me. I will wait and watch the 2 first ep to see whether I like it or not.

I'm all for the pretty cast, because I actually DO love all the actors and actresses, and kinda interested at what can come of the Stairway To Heaven reunion ^.^
As for the plot/storyline, the only consolation that's keeping me from thinking that this might turn into a mess, is that SBS has the 'no Makjang' policy in place ^.^

I'm gonna watch this just to see if SBS does fulfill its 'No Makjang' policy. Or maybe how long they're going to hold out until they go the makjang way.

Lovimg the cast but a little worried when I read that it's from the writers of the horrid, DR JIN.

As long as they give me a proper and concrete romance though! I'm a sucker for those! :)

As a test of your flexibility, try to manage the pose Choi Ji-woo is taking in her Girl Scout jacket, particularly the third one. Remember, you want to show your best features, in this case your derrière and your elegant, regal profile. This requires you to stand straight and tall and turn your head to the left far enough for the camera to pick out your right eye, all of this without looking like a contortionist.

She's a pro, as well as beautiful.

I am quite apprehensive about the storyline because I dislike seeing three of my gorgeous favorites going down the tube.
And please, please, please....do not make the men wear wigs like toooo many of the actors are doing in the recent Kdramas. Totally unnatural and unflattering.
Hoping for a surprisingly wonderful drama befitting of these Hallyu stars.

Park Ha Sun is really pretty. I've always like her beauty because she looks so simple and natural. I just hope that if it is a Choi Ji Woo - Kwon Sang Woo ending that they also give happy ending to Lee Jung Jin and Park Ha Sun. I would hate it if KSW's character cheated on his wife (PHS) with a richer woman for money (CJW) and then fall for her, leave his wife and have a happy ending with his mistress all the while his wife is miserable. So I hope all 4 of them have a happy ending somehow. Give Lee Jung Jin a happy ending too please since I really like him.

I love watching Korean drama starring particularly jsw and CJW , the skill they bring stories .
Temptation would not have been the last starred as his own, more may follow .
