I think I'm one of the few here that really dislikes PSH in Pinocchio, it doesn't help that I don't like the drama itself of course. Yesterday I was watching ep 16 and it was so boring, I kept thinking how nothing made sense and usually this happens a few times in every Pinocchio episode but yesterday it was just going on for 20 minutes so I start thinking maybe it's time to drop it. Which is crazy because I wouldn't drop a show in the 16th ep! About PSH I can't even explain why she annoys me like that, I thought maybe she does that aegyo thing too much but others do it too and don't bother me, I think it's because everything is too superficial with her, she never has any subtlety and it's just the same faces over and over. Anyway, it's just an opinion, don't want to offend any of the people who like her ok? It's strange to remember I liked her in YAB.

Your opinion is fine, you're not offending anyone.

I don't think In ha isn't at all cute though? She doesn't show any aegyo? I must've missed something.

She pouts. A lot. Not many woman that I know do that, there is more, the way she talks has this girlish manner and how she frowns too but maybe next to Yoo-Rae she seems like a regular person. I'm glad you were not offended. :)

Oh, I am watching Pinocchio religiously but I'm just casual fan of hers. I just meant, opinions, whether disagreeable or not, are just opinions. No one should be offended by them~

I was just curious, since I just don't think In Ha is that kind of 'cute' character, as you've described. And I generally dislike those characters. I genuinely never noticed the pouting though. And the other characteristics you stated aren't apparent or distinct enough. But that's just me. As you said, others would do the same thing, however PSH just annoys you more.

Undoubtedly, I have an opposite opinion to yours :) In ha is such a great character to me.

Pinocchio after hyung's arc wrapped up kinda went downhill. I'm also losing interest in that show. Wish the writer did a better job upping the intensity after hyung went to jail. On PSH - I'm not disliking her, but I just cannot get into her character. I think you're right in describing that she lacks subtlety. Almost feels like every act she puts on, there's an invisible description alerting the audience..."here I'm acting funny," "here I'm crying"...it's a bit jarring.

Ah about Punch (yes I eventually did listen to the whole podcast- not just the last ten minutes lol), it's really well acted and written. But it's hard to grasp the evil vs evil thing going on there, and for that reason I would never be able to marathon it in a few days or even watch two episode in one go... I am glad that I picked up the show from its premiere week.

I thought that healer's first few episodes weren't at all great. The background story seemed interesting, albeit a bit confusing. The action itself was good, but the scenes were too stretched out for me to really be in awe of it. I think they tried too hard with that.

After giving it a chance and watching more episodes, the plot came together really well! At about episode 5, I became really interested in it. I don't know if you'll give it a try again. I'm no one to convince you of that, but it just might surprise you.

A different opinion, I think PMY is a really good actress. I think she does well in these kinds of roles. Spunky and confident, I love. My compassion isn't lost to her troubled past, as well. I think she's doing a great job.

Trust me, though. You'll have to experience a lot more episodes, to appreciate the main couple's chemistry. I think Healer might be a tad bit overrated, but with each episode, it's getting better. (I hope it stays that way)

I do watch healer but the drama is just so-so. It's like watching city hunter again and oh city hunter way more better than healer. Skipped after ep 5 cause I still cant find their chemistry. Pmy is too stiff. Im a fan of Jcw but he doesnt go well with pmy. He is much better with ha ji won though.

The plot is quite confusing and they tried too hard with the action scene. Pmy act as funny person, I just canttt. Is she consider popular in korean? Cause k-nitizen is like in love with pinocchio more. I watch both of the drama but I cant help and end up compare this 2 drama.

Psh is an amazing actress, when she cry i'd cry along with her. She is like my 2nd Choi ji woo. Lee jong suk doing a great job. He is good and his acting improved a lot. As pinocchio is towards the end, hope the rating will get higher. Hwaiting!

You know I was wondering - I do NOT spend a major chunk of my waking hours thinking/squeeling/spazzing about this drama - after the reveal I'll miss PBS SO much. We see glimpses of PBS in SJH but the unadulterated PBS is just so adorable with his hunched shoulders and cowering in fear behind CYS!!

I love PBS as well, for the reasons that you mentioned. I will miss him a lot, when the reveal happens, and SJH does not have to act like PBS as much, or at all.

Enjoyed the podcast. Thank you!

I did jump to the Healer section first. Really impressed with Healer, and I cant believe it. Been watching many kdrama, but never had this feeling of longing for it. Its been wonderful so far and the OTP is, like GF and JB said, so great together with their chemistry that you want them to be together in real life. lol

Ha! I so agree with your mom about being a longtime Rain fan and then SO disappointed in My Lovable Girl that my hard-edged fangirl thing for Rain has been muted. It is NOT about the character he played it's just that, for some time now, it feels like Rain plays it too safe for his enormous talent. He is such a superstar that he can pick and choose his projects. I'm disappointed that he chose this project in the first place. ZERO chemistry with Krystal and such a bad plot. When you see Rain and Krystal in their episode of Running Man there is barely any communication between them. Toward the end of MLG Rain looked so bored. I will forgive him this time - maybe not the next time. I just hope he hurries up and Marries Kim Tae Hee!
I'm with you guys - I'm totally in love with Healer on every level. Thank you for the great work you do!!!

Oh yay!! podcast, been waiting for this.. although basing on the comments here I'm the only one who will probably skip to the Pinocchio part.lol

Regarding PSH on comedy, I think she is great in that area but I also think she can do well when emoting cause she has this way of making me care for her character and I love her for that.

Anyways, off to listen!

I skipped to Misaeng, and then Pinocchio :)

It's exactly as you said though. I personally think she's better at comedy, but I also think she does well in melodramas? And it's really because she makes me care about her character, which is a big factor for me, in liking dramas. I must care about the characters.

I was surprised by the use of the word 'petulant' to describe her in more sad, serious roles. I think that's a strong word. But I guess I do understand where exactly that stems from, since Cha Eun Sang was such a pitiful character. In that role, she had to cry a lot and I know a lot of people were annoyed at her for that? I thought her a weak character myself, but I empathized with her. From that view I guess, I can comprehend the use of 'petulant.'

Yeah I guess petulant is such a strong word but I understand where it comes from. And out of all the characters that she played so far, Cha Eun Sang is my least favorite personally but I can still empathize with her even though sometimes I can't help but get annoyed. But here, she is back to being that adorable actress that she is, and her physical gag is also worth noting for cause it's really hilarious. And oh the chemistry between her and Lee jeong suk is really sweet and just natural, even off cam.

I'm one of a few who skipped to Pinocchio too.
I think PSH can do well in melo while she is brilliant in comedy.
CES cries all the time w/o meaning. It's the writing fault's not her acting.
Because her crying and melo acting in in Pinocchio make me cry, especially when she cried with her Dad in the last ep.
Or when she fought with her sister in the 1st ep in Heirs. You can't really compared while LJS always have better script and roles. It's sad when female don't have many great shows that showcased their acting to be honest

But anyways, I'm glad PSH is back with comedy. My first time seeing her comedic skills was YB and she caught my attention since then

'Kay, lana. Calm ya pants, girl; like mellina said: we hear ya loud and clear.

As for the podcast....

YES, HEALER, YES. SQUEEEEEEEE!

I'm really happy with the cast in this drama especially Park Min Young, who I've been practically crying over to get back on TV, in something I could actually watch. With Healer, the cast and crew have hit that sweet note, and I'm more than happy about it. I haven't been this excited about a new drama since My Love From Another Stars. And that's saying something, guys.

On another note, Pinocchio used to be like water to be; I'd watch it religiously week after week. But these past couple of episodes - like I've been dreading - the inevitable slump came into play and ridiculous plot points and character development began to occur. Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk are cute and talented as always, but the writers really made the shit hit the fan. Needless to say, I'm disappointed, but I've got Healer oppa, so I'm good.

Pmy is not that popular in south korea but she gain praised for her acting and healer is a not that great. Punch got my attention since the storyline are so so so much better and I quite agree that pmy and jcw doesnt have chemistry at all.

I pushed myself to watched healer until ep 5 but ended up turned it off. Song jina should hire someone to play as the main lead instead of pmy. JCW is a good and Im a huge fan of him. Hope healer storyline will get better.

Pinocchio is digging up what happen 13 years ago, and healer is digging up what happen 20 years ago. Well well, let see, which drama is succeed and got more viewers in south korean and internationaly. I've heard that pinocchio is so popular in china and the drama is 2nd most watch video on youku behind my favorite drama the heirs. Fighting

Pinocchio: I enjoyed the beginning and then, it went weird and got lost. It is sad it got lost. I like the two leads but they are not used well, and just put on a show to be together.

Punch: It is a heavy drama. I watched the first two and it is a show, you dont have emotional attachments to the characters because they are not made likable. Might continue later if i have time.

Healer: Really a great drama isnt it?! Came from behind for me. I watched Pinocchio and Punch first, and the first episode interest me to continue. And just got better and better, and wow, really came together. The chemistry is perfect. Didnt think much of Park Min Young, but she is great here. Have never heard of Ji Chang Wook, and what an amazing actor. Where did he come from?! Very very impressed. He is breathing life into a character that you really feel for and understand. And the chemistry between the leads is electric. You feel that they are perfect for each other. I just want more. Cannot wait for the next episode!

When i comes to monday-tuesday drama, Punch is really great to watch alongside pride and prejudice and coming at last is healer. Song jina isn't that great writer. The plot is a not that hype at all. Just a so-so drama like someone said earlier and yup healer kinda remind me of city hunter again. I too cant find the chemistry between this two lead. Too stiff and awkward towards each other. Hope punch will continue to be on topped in term of rating since that drama is soooooo good. I love it.

As pinochhio coming to end end this week, I'm wishing them a lot of success in south korean and internationally as it already popular. I'm so curious what will happen on 18 19 and 20 ep. May dalpo father get justice and from this drama I'll get to understand on how the media manipulated the viewers. Kudos!
