Ha Ji-won courted for remake of In Time With You

Ha Ji-won! In a rom-com! Do we even need to know what it’s about? Okay, I guess I’ll tell you what it’s about, then we can cheer afterwards. SBS is developing a remake of the 2011 Taiwanese drama In Time With You (also known as Conditions of Love, starring Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen), and Ha Ji-won is now considering the offer to headline the series. The remake will be called The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days and is being planned for a broadcast later this year.

The romantic comedy is about a man and a woman who are best friends (my favorite kind!!). They turn 30 and make a pact to be married before 35, and race each other to the altar while “helping” weed out potential suitors for each other. They find that they’re constantly dissatisfied with each other’s boyfriends and girlfriends, because they’ve really been in love with each other all this time. In the original drama it’s a 14-year friendship; in the remake it’ll be 20 years, hence the 7000 days.

The remake will be penned by writer Min Hyo-jung of Full House and Attic Cat, and produced by the drama house that did Will You Give Love Away and When a Man Loves; a PD has yet to be attached. Besides the fact that the Taiwanese drama was a huge hit both domestically and in Korea, the story basically describes my favorite type of romantic fiction.

It’s described as a thoughtful rom-com that navigates the thin line between love and friendship, with a realistic story and subtle emotions, and promises upbeat romance but also deeper discussions about life. It’s been forever and a day since a show like Bottom of the 9th With 2 Outs came along, and the fact that it might star Ha Ji-won just makes it perfect.

The Time I’ve Loved You is in negotiations to air later this year on SBS.

IN TIME WITH YOU is my favorite taiwanese drama together with the famous Meteor Garden drama. I cried, laughed, inspired and even though i got dizzy reading the blinking subs from Gooddrama, still, it didn't diminished the quality of the drama. It was soo good, realistic in every bits which tackles not only friendship but the love of family, family values and love for work and others.

I would love love love to see Ha Ji Won with Kang Dong Won. Kang Dong Won would fit best as a shy guy since he can act just by looking at his eyes. If Kang Dong Won can't, may be Won Bin? Yeah Jo In Sung is a good choice but let the other two be seen in dramaland, please. Kang Dong Won as Li Da Ren!!!!!

I'll throw Lee Min Ho in the mix because i'ts SBS and he is looking for drama second half of the year :) Gong Yoo and SeGa couple reunion would be my personal choice, though.

kang dong won. hands down. he can do boyish/young, and he can do mature...

they would look great together, as they were in The Duelist...

The Queen In-Hyun's Man actress--I forget her name--would do a pretty good Chen You Qing, too. Cos I can totally see her discovering finally that she's in love with her friend. And I would be convinced by her being clueless about her own feelings.

I strongly recommendthat Jin Yi Han ? should be considered for the leading man rkle as Li Da Ren... hehas all the qualifications and characteristics of being Da Ren Korean version..
He is the same age with Ha Ji Won, they have chemistry on and off screen so tehy are compcomfortable with each other. I have seen him in drama roles doing the unrequited love, hopeless romantic best friend, he can portray the high school boy and he and HaJi Won looks great together. Please reconsider...
