Oh My Venus: Episode 16 (Final)

It’s a finale filled with neat little bows for Oh My Venus, with hearts and flowers flying everywhere. We don’t get all the answers we’d like, but when is life ever perfectly tidy like that? But that’s not to say that the show doesn’t have a surprise or two left for us, as we say goodbye to our adorable couple and their sweet little self-made family.

EPISODE 16 RECAP

Young-ho reveals that Joo-eun has been carrying her own engagement ring in her scarf ever since he gave it to her, and proposes to her. She nods her yes, and they hug, both of their wishes coming true at once.

Later Joo-eun stares at her ring, though she tells Young-ho that the real gift was the scarf. You can buy a ring anywhere, but he made this scarf just for her. I love that she gets how meaningful that is for him.

Young-ho drops her off at Hyun-woo’s so she can flash her ring at her friend, and he starts to warn her about his family. But Joo-eun stops him and says they’ll take things one step at a time. She assures him that she plans to live with him forever, so nothing anyone can say will change that.

Joo-eun pretends to have a headache, holding her beringed hand to her forehead, and of course Hyun-woo sees her new ring right away and shrieks excitedly. Best friend ever. Joo-eun can admit to her friend that she’s nervous about meeting Grandma, so Hyun-woo role-plays the worst stereotypical chaebol grandmother ever, to get Joo-eun pumped up.

Joo-eun has her dial it back a bit, and this time it’s more helpful, though Hyun-woo bails when Joo-eun mentions her dead father. Ha, her advice is to give Grandma some spending money, based on her interactions with her own mother-in-law, but that’s a bad idea for obvious reasons.

At work in the morning, Joo-eun gets a visit from Joon-sung’s mother, with a gift of some pretty white mittens. Joo-eun asks how her husband is these days, and it sounds like he’s in prison but doing well there, and even wants to make amends with Joon-sung’s mother when he gets out. Joo-eun suggests counseling, and they talk about how happy Joon-sung seems these days.

Young-ho visits Woo-shik at work, here to get up to speed before he goes back to work soon. He asks if Woo-shik had a lot of injuries when he was a swimming star, and Woo-shik says that’s why he eventually retired. He tells Young-ho that he did his physical rehab in Japan, France, and America, which prompts Young-ho to pull out a set of plans.

He wants to build a new rehab center in Korea, which Woo-shik knows the directors will fight against. That’s why Young-ho is here, to ask for Woo-shik’s support on this project. He admits that he doesn’t fully trust Woo-shik yet, but as a fellow athlete who’s been through similar health challenges, he wants to mend fences and team up.

Young-ho asks after Uncle, and we see Uncle playing a board game with another man when he gets a text from Young-ho. He asks to see him at the company, which surprises Uncle, but he looks pleased.

Joo-eun nervously arrives to meet with Grandma, psyching herself up before entering the dining room. The mood is tense as both women size each other up, and Grandma reaches for her purse. But Joo-eun quickly grabs an envelope, and asks Grandma to accept hers before offering her one (presumably full of money to entice her to leave Young-ho).

She says that it’s not money in her envelope, but her blood test results proving that she no longer suffers from hypothyroidism. She says respectfully that no matter how much money Grandma offers, or how much she objects to their relationship, she won’t ever leave Young-ho.

Grandma nods knowingly, and says that with age, one becomes stubborn. She reaches for her purse again, but instead of an envelope of money, she pulls out a handkerchief to wipe her mouth. Joo-eun looks like she’d like to crawl under the table, ha. Grandma says that, other than her outfit (a hideous creation Joo-eun borrowed from Hyun-woo), she has no intention of objecting to anything. It’s hilarious how Joo-eun jumps up to apologize her her outfit.

Grandma does have one condition, and that’s that she wants a really extravagant wedding gift. Okay, she’s not so bad, and I see where Young-ho gets his dry sense of humor. We see that Grandma witnessed Joo-eun’s tearful speech outside Young-ho’s hospital room a year ago, which was enough to convince her of how much Joo-eun loves her grandson.

Joon-sung is flustered to hear that Yi-jin received an award, and said, “I love you, JJS,” in her acceptance speech. Ji-woong teases him mercilessly, making it even worse, ha. So when Yi-jin next pops up in his locker room, Joon-sung can only grumble and look embarrassed when she gives him a watch with their faces on it.

Yi-jin grabs him and demands to know why she’s been chasing him for a year, when he doesn’t like her as much as she likes him (I think we’d all like to know that, sweetheart). For the first time, Joon-sung calls her by her name affectionately, and says in his roundabout way that he is interested in her. That’s all she needs to hear, but she still looks surprised when he gives her a little peck, then backs her up against a locker for a longer kiss.

Joo-eun invites Young-ho to her place that night, but the house is dark when he arrives. He finds her sitting on her bed with a serious air about her, and she moans dejectedly that she met his grandmother today. Hee, she’s totally faking him out.

Young-ho falls for it and offers to go talk to his grandmother, but she says that he can’t fix this problem. Grandma wants a super-expensive wedding gift ~giant sigh~. Young-ho actually does a double-take, and Joo-eun rips open her robe to reveal a sexy teddy. She holds up a pair of baby You Bastards and suggests a really expensive wedding gift — great-grandchildren.

Young-ho is shocked, and it’s Joo-eun’s turn to flip him over and straddle him. She mentions that she’s been studying jiu jitsu and has three stripes, but Young-ho quips that she needs four to beat him. And then he flips her right back, suggesting other ways to express their love.

Cut to him showing her some new jiu jitsu moves, hee. Joon-sung and Ji-woong watch from the doorway, wondering what they’re doing (Ji-woong: “I think they’re flirting.” Smart boy.).

Joo-eun is determined to convince Young-ho to make a baby, tossing the little stuffed sloths at him and flashing skin at every opportunity. Young-ho is mighty tempted, but insists on four stripes before he’ll consider it. Joo-eun stomps off to beat up You Bastard, poor thing, while Young-ho looks like this is killing him. Eventually he caves, because he’s human, after all.

They finally go to meet his family officially, and wow, Joo-eun looks radiant in hanbok. Joo-eun starts to formally bow to Grandma and Young-ho’s father, and her face is priceless when Grandma is all, Let’s just eat. Even Manager Min looks like he’s choking back a laugh, and Young-ho asks dryly if she’s filming a sageuk. HAHA.

Joo-eun gets a nervous stomach, so Young-ho massages a pressure point in her hand. She asks if the house is always this quiet, and Manager Min helpfully informs her that it’s quite noisy today, since they have a guest. HAHAwhoops. Joo-eun is confused as to why Grandma and Dad both just went to their rooms after she arrived, though nobody else seems to think that’s strange.

Joo-eun can’t accept this as normal, and confirms that she’s been accepted as part of the family, then gets a look in her eye that makes both Young-ho and Manager Min squirm. She drags Grandma and Dad out to the living room, and proceeds to sing a song for them. Now it’s Young-ho’s turn to want to crawl under the table.

He finally jumps up and makes the horror stop, and he begins to apologize to his family, but Grandma starts laughing so hard she can’t even breathe. Her guffaws get Dad started, and even Manager Min looks pretty amused.

Joo-eun thoroughly charms Young-ho’s family, and even gets them to pose for a group selca (Young-ho: “Manager Min, it’s not an ID photo.” ~snerk~). It’s only later that Joo-eun wonders if his family thinks she’s weird, and Young-ho calls that a solid Yes. But he’s never seen his Grandma or Dad laugh like that.

He turns serious and starts to say something, but Joo-eun already knows what he’s thinking. He’s scared to have kids, because he doesn’t want to pass on a genetic predisposition to cancer.

Young-ho tells her that when he was young, he blamed his father for making him go through so many surgeries and suffer so much pain. He promised himself that he’d never live like his father did, but now he realizes that it was more that he doesn’t have the heart to.

Joo-eun says that she’s been doing research, and the chances of passing on the disease are low. But Young-ho knows that even a small chance is terrifying. The child and the parents suffer, and he doesn’t want to put her through that. But Joo-eun is optimistic, and willing to at least try their best.

She paints a picture of a son and a daughter, and tells Young-ho how she wants to watch them grow up, and complain about their father, and hear them call him “Dad.” Young-ho looks touched, and finally concedes defeat. She asks if he wants a son or a daughter, and suggests twins.

Woo-shik is still leaving porridge for Soo-jin at her place, and she’s still ignoring it. But she’s kept her engagement ring, and the baby booties he bought, and looks at them longingly. Woo-shik comes back, knowing she’s home, and debates whether to let himself in. Ultimately, he decides against it. He’d gone to her doctor and confirmed her diagnosis, and he spends long hours trying to think what to do.

Young-ho visits his father in the hospital while he’s undergoing treatment for his own cancer, and Dad asks how he knew. I love Young-ho’s answer: “I’m supposed to know. I’m your son.” The two sit quietly, needing no more words than that. When Young-ho gets ready to go, Dad offers a quiet thanks.

Stepmom and Young-joon arrive to visit, and when Young-joon addresses him formally, he corrects him to “hyung.” Young-ho leaves, and Dad tells Young-joon that he should major in medicine. It seems backwards, but all Young-joon ever wanted was for his father to show interest in him, so the paternal guidance makes him happy.

Young-ho visits Joo-eun’s mother alone to look at her wrist, suspecting that she suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome. He gives her some tips on home care but tells her to see a doctor, and she promises to obey. Mom says that she knows he was sick when he was young, and tells Young-ho that it’s better to be sick when you have someone around. He thanks her for giving birth to Joo-eun, and for giving him permission to marry her.

Soo-jin thinks back on all of her interactions with Woo-shik, going all the way back to her college days when she was overweight and he was kind to her. Woo-shik is also thinking of her, and he finds her where she’s walking and puts his coat around her shoulders. He asks if she’s okay, and makes his last apology to her.

He says he’s sorry for being a selfish person, but he loves her, and wants to marry her. Overcome, Soo-jin just cries on his shoulder — but Woo-shik smiles, knowing that this is a yes.

While Woo-shik and Soo-jin walk through fields making moony eyes at each other, Young-ho and Joo-eun (naturally) go for a jog together. Joo-eun complains as usual, and Young-ho jokes for her to watch it, because he hasn’t decided if he’s going to let her live with him or not.

The boys (including Manager Min) suit up for a photo shoot together, and they all gape at Joo-eun in her sexy red dress. Young-ho is obviously smitten, though he does tease that she’s supposed to be wearing white for this.

The photo shoot looks fun, though Manager Min gets stage fright in front of the camera and has to be tickled to smile. It’s so sweet how Ji-woong and Joon-sung take him under their wings like family. Young-ho and Joo-eun even change into their jiu jitsu uniforms and pose for pictures while grappling on the floor. Cute.

After an alarming amount of flashbacks, we skip to the summer of 2016. Joo-eun arrives at the airport to meet her boys as they return from various out-of-town jaunts. Aww, Ji-woong finally made it into the Marines, and he salutes Joo-eun before pouncing on her with his famous attack-hug. He looks great in uniform.

Prior to getting married, Young-ho flew to give assistance to people in a flooded area, and he’s just now returning for the wedding. When he calls out to Joo-eun, she turns and we finally see her face — which has filled out with the weight she gained while he was gone. HAHAHA, his face is priceless.

Joo-eun beams at her husband-to-be, and opens up her coat to show a ribbon tied around her belly. She’s not overweight, she’s pregnant! Young-ho stares for a moment before a gorgeous smile spreads over his face, as he realizes he’s going to be a daddy. And not only that, but it’s twins!

Of course, the pregnancy means that Joo-eun has gained back all the weight Young-ho helped her lose, and it makes Young-ho worry for her health even as he’s thrilled to pieces at the news. Ji-woong and Joon-sung are ecstatic at the prospect of being uncles.

Young-ho is ready to start her new exercise regimen right away, though Joo-eun protests that it was the babies eating all that food, not her. He worries about her fitting into her wedding dress, but Joo-eun reminds him that Venus is the goddess of beauty and fertility.

As they leave the airport together, one big happy family, Joo-eun says in voiceover that among all the men in Korea named Kim, the name Young-ho is pretty common. “It seems very ordinary, for all coaches who exist, especially you…”

Young-ho joins in with, “For the wicked and risky Venuses in this world…” and together they finish: “Now boarding to outside of your world. Departure!”

Epilogue

A young Young-ho sits in his wheelchair outside his home soon after surgery, his leg propped up in a cast. A girl walks near and stops, asking if his leg hurts. He nods, and he pulls a bandage out of her pocket and puts it on his cast. She tells him that it won’t hurt anymore and to trust her.

Little Young-ho asks how she knows, and she says that if you believe you can do something, then you can. Young-ho nods, then smiles tentatively at little Joo-eun.

COMMENTS

Well, that was cute, though ultimately unnecessary. Did we really need to see them meet as children for thirty seconds just to believe they’ll live happily ever after? Can we not just have one drama where the main couple didn’t meet as children and thus are Fated To Be? Oh well, at least it was a small scene, and not part of the overall story.

Oh My Venus definitely had its share of plot holes, odd editing choices, and continuity issues, of which I could name many that bugged me as a viewer. Such as Joo-eun planning to spend all of Christmas Day with Young-ho, only leaving to spend time with her mother who showed up unexpectedly. Then she immediately goes to a work meeting that hadn’t previously been mentioned. And how about Joon-sung’s mother talking about her son’s girlfriend, before Joon-sung ever tells Yi-jin that he likes her back? And don’t even get me started on the whole Yi-jin issue… just UGH. It’s not cute just because she’s a girl, it’s still stalking, and several things she did bordered on sexual assault. I found it quite disappointing that a show that spoke out against women being sexually assaulted, had a main male character receiving repeated unwanted sexual advances from a woman, and it being played off as adorable. There were several examples of this kind of thing throughout the drama, and occasionally it took me out of the story because I was too busy wondering what was happening and why it made no sense.

And while the main love story between Young-ho and Joo-eun was wonderfully mature, both emotionally and physically, I felt as though the secondary characters’ relationships mostly came across flat. Particularly Woo-shik and Soo-jin — there was such a wealth of plot to be mined from their courtship that just got left by the wayside. I would have loved to see Soo-jin’s journey be more about loving herself, than about finding a man to love her. Not that being loved by someone else is bad, but it creates a dissonance when Joo-eun’s whole character was based on her self-confidence and the fact that she didn’t need a man. So why was Soo-jin left to flounder in insecurity and depression until her white knight showed up to rescue her? I love a romantic happy ending as much as the next person, but in my opinion, Soo-jin needs to do a lot more personal work before she’s ready for a relationship.

But regardless, my main takeaway is of a cute, sweet love story, and there’s no doubt we got that in spades. Young-ho and Joo-eun’s romance was always respectful, always loving, and always honest. Not to mention their crackling chemistry, and adult way of discussing sex and their mutual attraction. And through her loving example, Young-ho was able to heal many of his family’s wounds, which was nice to see. They were never bad people (except for Uncle), it’s just that they didn’t know how to relate to each other. Even with just the tiny tentative beginnings of baby steps, you can see that they’ll all be just fine. Not to mention the beautiful symmetry in the two families that have merged, that Young-ho now has a mother, and Joo-eun has a new father.

This drama never promised a complicated plot, and really, I don’t think it needed one. In many ways, the simplicity of the plot of Oh My Venus is one of its biggest draws and greatest charms. Though there were bigger messages there, such as the benefits of healthy living, domestic abuse, and violence against women, it never got bogged down or became preachy. Those were just issues the characters were dealing with as they lived their lives, but the show was never about those things. Keeping these issues present but on the periphery allowed the show to have a lightness that was refreshing, while still touching on important issues. In a different show I might find this a weakness, and some viewers may still feel that way. But for me, I came here to see a sweet romance with fun chemistry between the leads, and that’s exactly what I got. Serious issues and chaebol machinations aside, this drama was always about the romance between two people who needed each other, and it delivered that beautifully.

i just love your recaps because you think exactly like me, so much that so that if we met in real life and watched k-dramas, we'd be giving each other knowing looks more than talking about the drama, i nearly choked at the moan about the unnecessary epilogue with the little joo eun and young-ho, because my thoughts about it had been the same, koreans just love fate too much...and like you, i noticed the problems in the drama but they weren't a big deal because i liked the simple romantic story. it was just right.

That epilogue was so unnecessary!! I threw my headphones out of my ears in frustration as soon as I saw a young Joo Eun approaching kid Young Ho. It was so uncalled for;
time that really could have been filled with bloopers instead.

But onto the positives, it was a lighthearted rom-com that made me laugh. it was nice watching something with Shin Min Ah in again and besides the rough editing in the last two episodes and the plot points that were thrown to the wayside, it achieved what it set out to do, make you laugh and awww loads.

Good job Team Venus!

The main leads and their chemistry was the BEST part of this drama! They had tons of cute, flirty moments and I could see how much they cared about each other. For the most part, they communicated well and understood each other. But the rest of the story w/ the chaebol/scandal/family drama didn't appeal to me. I just was like meh about it the whole time.

I'm happy w/ how the scene between Grandma and Joo Eun turned out. The comment opposing Joo Eun's outfit made me laughhhhh and laughhhh. It made me tear up a little seeing Joo Eun's tearful speech again and seeing that Grandma had witnessed it.

The finale wrapped up everything very neatly. That's usually how it is in kdramas so it didn't bother me too much. But I didn't believe in the attraction between Yi Jin and Joon Sung. Or really, I didn't believe that Joon Sung was interested in her. In their last scene, I wish he had asked her out on a official date or something else instead of kissing her. A year has past, but I didn't feel much progress between the two.

And I never liked the 2nd leads. I was pretty much indifferent to them. Im Woo Shik just told Soo Jin to let's get married without addressing her OB concern. He could have said he would never leave her alone, that she can overcome her problems, etc. instead of popping that proposal. He actually gave her the ring before and she accepted so it was like they were already engaged or moving towards marriage.

The epilogue scene was not necessary to me. I liked their relationship just fine w/o knowing that they had a moment in their childhood.

Anyway, this drama was a rom-com that had a sweet romance. Storyline was weak. I'll only remember fondly of the main leads and the boys.

Definitely not one of the best...and man, the editing in these last few episodes have been rough lol...but I gotta say, I really loved watching this drama. I enjoyed it and looked forward to it every week. SMA & SJS were just so darn adorable together! Their little family of best friends were so warm and cute! This drama always put me in a good mood :) <3

love this drama so much... to me it was perfect, never dragged, never misunderstandings between main couple, always sexy and lovely and sincere... little family was so endearing (including manager min) but main couple was the best of it all, and luckily we had plenty of main couple... though it was never enough for me...
the only thing i disliked: Yi-jin cant stand her

sjs i will always love you you're perfect

thank you so much again and again for recaping this drama!

Love Shin Min-ah and So Ji Sub separately in all their other dramas. This one just fell so flat for me...the substance was less than satisfying. Sweet and cute, yes. The interactions great...all that worked..it was just...meh. It needed more really deep kisses - or something.
HOWEVER - I will always remember this drama for fully introducing me to Henry Lau. OMG. Have seen snippets of him on variety shows and paired with Amber but it caused me to Google him which led to discovering his mind-blowing violin and piano talents. I mean MIND-BLOWING. We need more of Henry playing the violin. more more more!!
So thank you, Oh My Venus, for deepening my love for South Korean entertainment and the awesome depth of talent within!!

Thanks so much for recapping this drama!! I loved it from start to finish even though I agree that it had its flaws. Namely Yi Jin, excessive flashbacks, glossed over absence, and Soo Jin's depression.

This was the first kdrama where the chemistry and flirting seemed more age appropriate. I especially appreciated the fact that the kisses seemed natural. For that reason, I will forever love So Ji Sub and Shin Mi Na for their performances. They were worth the plot holes. I do wish at least one conversation could have addressed Young Ho's lack of communication during his recovery. Shin Mina's/Joo eun's confidence and personality was another reason this drama will be one of my favorites.

Although Yi Jin as a character was quite scary, my biggest concern was Soo Jin. She was annoying at first but seeing her battle with depression and her doubts about her relationship felt real. I sincerely wished she could see how awesome she was and learn to love herself.

SECOND those comments!

Overall though, it was an enjoyable ride, plotholes aside. They had enjoyable characters, and tried to introduce more realistic and 'not that oft seen in Kdrama' elements (albeit clumsily handled) like: weight vs appearance, health (mental, emotional physical), suicide, strong inner core and security, domestic violence, strong women who have their own will ... even to the last where YH though chaebol did what he loved best - helping out for altruistic reasons - seldom seen in Kdramas. etc etc etc

OUTSTANDING chemistry! and I loved most of the mature quick resolutions.

And Lollypip .... MUCH THANKS again for all the diligent recapping and insights! :)

Sometimes you just have look away from those non-constructive criticism.

But for me, OMV is much better than 'The Producer' and 'All About Mom' which actors from these dramas earned Daesangs. Definitely these two dramas are more flawed that OMV in different aspects.

This may not be the best performance of SJS as the drama itself limits himself to showcase his full potential but his performance in this drama tops amongst the list of KBS drama of 2015 and more deserving for the Daesang.

I agree with you Michelle, look away and stop feeding the TROLLS. We all know who they are…it's the same ones over and over again, who continue to watch a drama that they clearly dislike, only to provoke a response from those of us who have clearly decided to enjoy the drama regardless of the loopholes, inconsistencies. I'm constantly reminded of The Dude from the Big Lebowski:
"That's just like your opinion, man." lol
Don't get me wrong, I love those comments at the beginning of any new drama. I enjoy reading everyone's opinion on every aspect of the drama but after the 8th episode, really? really? you dislike it and yet here you are troll, bashing it, willing it to live up to your expectations on the final episode…umm, hate to break to you, it aint gonna happen! and that time you wasted, you aint getting back! peace :)

Trolls are those who hit someone head on, provide criticisms just for the heck and do not respect others opinion.

Some people may not agree with my opinion and that is fine with me. I don't despise those opinions which are different from mine. But I definitely don't have respect those who are aggressive commenters in disguise especially those who call others names.

I am a fan of Kim Soo Hyun since 'Will It Snow this Christmas' but a Daesang in 'The Producer' is something I can't agree. The lady from All About Mom definitely deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award but for me not a Daesang. I watched/watching both dramas definitely more flawed but that is just my opinion. I also like these two dramas and maybe deserves recognition but I find OMV more deserving.

The comparison may not be necessary but that is just me expressing my opinion and certainly I don't need to call anyone a Troll just because their opinions are different.

i am a silent reader here most of the times..bt today readin so many views,i felt the need to post my views IN FAVOUR to OMV...i maybe in minority..bt i absolutely loved this drama to the fullest..!! wht i wanted to see in this shw i got it n tht too much more than i expected...

Usually i HATE shows which has heroine undergoing makeover..!! I feel lik they showin outer beauty has more importance than inner importance..!! But OMV is the first show i hv loved in makeover theme solely coz they used the theme in such a way tht show conveyed the bang on msg of BEING HEALTHY IS PRETTY/SEXY and NOT just size zero look one gets via short cut methods..!! Also makers ws successful in establishin the love story in pre makeover phase itself..!! He had fallen for her inner beauty evn when she ws chubby..!! And the makeover happened coz her health ws suffering..!! Evn before tht unlike hw v see in shows where chars r weak if they dnt hv good appearance, here Kang Joo Eun ws shown as confident, cheerful evn when she ws fat n tht ws REALISTIC..Also spl mention to make up department coz usually in past shows, they give an ugly make up if tht person is supposed to be shown obese..!! But in OMV,Joo Eun looked very beautiful n cute evn she ws fat...That was nother refreshing aspect of OMV..ClapClap...Also kudos to writers for not just focusing only on leads,bt they gave deservin importance to other chars n other relations too which made the show watchable as a whole n nevr felt lik the need to fast forward scenes if leads were not present..All in all i would rate this show 10/10 for being such epic show in all manners n thtsy i see this show as my no:1 fav show..!! Never thought there could be any show that can replace/evn come near the epic awesomeness of my other most fav korean show-Coffee Prince..!! But OMV totally made me fall for it..Nw i love OMV a lil bit more than Coffee Prince..But neverthless, out of 48 Korean Dramas i saw till nw, its OH MY VENUS n COFFEE PRINCE which shall remain as my ULTIMATE FAV SHOWS in Korean Drama world..

Kim Young Ho - this hero char of OMV is definitely one of the best written chars i hv ever seen.....His journey thru out the show ws amazing....Hes super caring n super loving when it comes to his loved ones..And hes the most strict physical trainer u can ever come across....Though hes a pro to do romance evn while makin his gf do workout sessions..haha..And hes indeed the most flirty teasing king(point to be noted these spl modes he shows only when hes with his beloved Venus aka Kang Joo Eun).....Due to his traumatic past,he never let ppl get close to him..!! Though he ws a pro in healing physical probs as he ws physical trainer,he needed someone who could heal him mentally from the scars of his past...!!! And the way he let Joo Eun heal him emotionally/mentally n evolved as a stronger person emotionally too ws commendable....But my most fav aspect of him is alwz Young Ho-The Lover of Kang Joo Eun..!! The way he expressed his...

The way he expressed his love for her thru out the series, the way he loves Joo Eun for the person shes is something truly heart touching n beautiful to the core...He totally understands Joo Eun in n out..And the best scene of his lover shade has to be the proposal scene..!! Gosh tht proposal scene of ep 15 ws totally out of the world..Very creative, unique ws his way of proposal n the scene got more spl with his simple yet heartfelt confession... Seeing tht proposal scene, one cant help bt feel y there is NO YOUNG HO in real world....Nywz i can never justify much the awesomeness of this char...For tht one need to see the show n then u shall realize i hvnt exaggerated evn one bit....So jst wanna say my heartfelt thnx to OMV team for givin such an iconic realistic char lik Kim Young Ho n i had wonderful time watchin the journey of this char in OMV....Totally loved him to the core.....

Kang Joo Eun - This heroine char of OMV is THE BEST FEMALE char i hv seen till date among all indian/korean shows n films.....Woman Of Substance she ws in all manners..!! She's totally REAL n very inspiring char..!! Her boldness, smartness, sassyness ws alwz a treat to see..And when she goes to fangirl mode, aww its cute n hilarious....She hv givn solid competition to Young Ho when it comes to teasing...But the best part in her is the one she cares for,she loves them n be with them no matter what..!! Her love for Young Ho ws totally praiseworthy..Unlike most of female leads,i love how Joo Eun never let a single opportunity go in vain n hv alwz expressed her true feelings for Young Ho be it via words/actions...To conclude i wanna say i loved Joo Eun's journey in this show n totally loved her...

i totally this epic love story of young ho joo eun..!! What i thought to be ordinary turned out to be a precious cherishable extra ordinary love story..!! And i totally madly ship them offscreen too..!! My Forbidden couple..haha..!!

Coming to Ep 16..i am more than satisfied..!! the last scene which many had diff opinion here.!! i found it as typical scene of young ho joo eun..!! lik some pointed out here n in fb,she gainin so much weight in 3 months alarmed him n he ws alwz shown as a person who bothers too much abt health matters..its not tht he wsnt happy,bt its his concern for her which overshadowed his happinesss..!! neverthless i am happy with the ending i got..!! my main concern ws my OTP-n am a 200% satisfied customer..!!

Also coz of OMV,i hv did somethin i hv never done before..On the eve of bidding farewell to OMV,i wanted to do something spl to express my love for OMV esp the man i met & fell in love with coz of OMV n thts So Ji Sub Oppa <3

I'm an Indian..to be specific i am from Kerala state of India..I love singing songs n since 2009 i hv been singing songs n uploadin it online..!! 98% songs r bollywood songs n few other languages of India...!! But today FIRST TIME I HAVE SUNG A KOREAN SONG..!! Being non Korean language is too difficult to speak let alone sing..!! But i felt singing a korean song for my most fav Korean star on the occassion of my most fav Korean Show's end would be best..!!

So i hv sung just one stanza of "its me" song from Oh My Venus..!! I hv tried my level best..!! Pardon me if theres any mistake especially pronounciation..!! But feel of the song i hv tried to maintain as it is..!!

Can someone please explain to me how Joon Sung's mother went to jail for murdering her abusive husband... who was still alive & well to abuse her both before they claimed she murdered him AND after? Am I meant to assume that she killed an abusive husband & then married a second abuser? I literally asked a Korean person if they meant "attempted murder" but they confirmed it was literally murder. Out of all the continuity issues, this one is the worst for me!!!

I posed a similar question to yours in the OMV episode 11 recap. 1st husband was abusive. She killed him and served time in jail/prison. And now Joon Sung's mother is on her 2nd marriage, married to an abuser.

<her 2nd marriage, married to an abuser

...and with prospects to take that abuser back, since she appears to know how he is currently doing (meaning, she's likely visiting him in prison) and it's been suggested that he wants to make amends when he gets out.

Very troublesome.

Seriously. The line Joo Eun had about "therapy is better than divorce" or whatever really disgusted me. It can be better, but not in a situation where someone is beating the crap out of you! The whole time her & Hyun Woo were lamenting over how she didn't want to press charges even tho he "did it again." & when she reaches out they're like "he'll get treatment & be better!" What abuser hasn't apologized for what he did? As if that means he's all fixed -__- Really ignorant writing.

Thank you for the clarification! Was this mentioned & I missed it or were we just supposed to infer it? It definitely didn't seem like this abuser was Joon Sung's dad, but I figured if she snapped enough to kill her abuser, how could she just find another guy who treated her the same? I wonder if that's actually common with domestic violence victims because it's really sad :/

<how could she just find another guy who treated her the same? I wonder if that’s actually common with domestic violence victims because it’s really sad :/

It's absolutely common with abuse victims. That's why it's very hard for them to get out of abusive relationship and can very easily end up in a similar relationship again, unless they get proper, long-term help to build up a normal sense of self-confidence and self-worth.

I suggest googling "cycle of abuse" and "power & abuse wheel" (though I'll add I think the wheel should say 'he/she', as anyone can be a victim of abuse!).

I don't know if you watched the k-drama "It's Okay It's Love" which tackled the issue as well – we had quite a bit of discussion in the recap comments about domestic violence since some viewers didn't understand why the abused victim in that drama didn't just "walk out".

I really was under the impression it was attempted murder, and she just went back to him b/c she had no where else to go after being released from prison.

While I'm not positive about the above, i feel much more confident the show pointed out he was now in rehab, NOT prison, which i assume would be for some sort of substance abuse (drinking?) since the one time we did see him, he was slurring etc.

I thought the whole scenario tied in nicely with the stalking storyline: Women are frustrated the law doesn't do much to protect them from abuse. (and a b.s. ad campaign about "women feel safe in our city" is not actual progress!)

I loved this drama, I really did – up until episode 13, where it all started to fall apart. In the first 12 episodes, it was funny, witty, and it felt like there was direction and an actual script.

The last four episodes felt like filler, and very cheesy filler at that. The writer obviously just ran out of ideas. Young Ho's accident was completely unnecessary, as it was essentially resolved in one episode, taking out any dramatic tension it might have added to the show.

Then we had forced cute interactions (the second Christmas scene and any scene with Joon-sung and Yi-jin), flashbacks of things we had literally seen a few minutes earlier, and weird random CF type scenes, like the photo shoot in episode 16.

Finally, what really ruined it for me was the fact that Joo-eun put all the weight back on in the end, which aside from seeming physically impossible in the time frame, also took away from the initial premise of the show – that being overweight was unhealthy, and that's why she worked so hard to lose the weight. Honestly, what was the point of it all then?

I love So Ji-sub and Shin Min-ah but ja, this show just lost me in the end. I'll remember the first few episodes fondly and try to pretend that awful ending never happened.

I find myself glad I stopped watching this drama at episode 10 ?

The amount of fuckery that was showing in this drama, I just couldn't handle anymore due to the fact that there were many clichéd momenta that bugged me, and as much as I thought the two leads would do it for me, I didn't. I fell out of the KDrama bandwagon a couple of years ago and this drama just reinforced that reason.

The thing that probably bigger me a lot was, why couldn't SJS have been an ordinary guy? Buuut noooo, KDramas want to show that Chaebols going through hardships are much more "normal" than an ordinary guy. More like glamorising guys my ass ???

I'll start off on a positive note: Kim Young-Ho is a man and he knits. His unique marriage proposal to Kang Joo-Eun. And the bonds of friendship/bromance between Kim Young-Ho, Jang Joon-Sung, and Kim Ji-Woong.

Guess I didn't get the memo because OMV was a fairly disappointing drama. My brain is aware of the relevant issues it attempted — obesity, underlining messages about persevering to achieve one's goals, self-confidence, the importance of exercising, being healthy, and eating right, 2 adults being comfortable in their relationship, mutual attractiveness toward one another, and sexiness, etc. As for my heart, it's not a drama that stole my heart nor did I routinely experience a kind of wonder and excitement when watching it. At times, I had to force myself to finish an episode. If not for SJS and SMA, I would have dropped it.

Totally agree with LollyPip's and other beanie comments about:
1) Did we really need to see them meet as children?
2) Plot holes, odd editing choices, and continuity issues.
3) Yi-jin issue…just UGH. It’s not cute just because she’s a girl, it’s still stalking...
4) Quite disappointing that a show that spoke out against women being sexually assaulted, had a main male character receiving repeated unwanted sexual advances from a woman, and it being played off as adorable.
5) Woo-shik and Soo-jin — there was such a wealth of plot to be mined from their courtship that just got left by the wayside.
6) So why was Soo-jin left to flounder in insecurity and depression until her white knight showed up to rescue her?

Spoiled by Master's Sun, Arang & The Magistrate, and My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho. Not to mention their past CF's...on paper So Ji-Sub & Shin Min-Ah as leads...expected more.

Since there's somewhat an uproar on the last scene, it was already in the drama's description way before it aired. I get that it was executed poorly as just another kdrama cliche that gets thrown in at the last minute but I don't mind it so much because it had already been foretold.

Exactly my sentiments! This is a light-hearted romcom and it has definitley served its purpose of bringing in light and fluffy moments, which i think is definitely a breath of fresh air for those who are sick and tired of dramas full of makjang.

Im pretty satisfied with how the whole drama was presented, afterall i wasn't really after complicated and uber realistic dramatic plots, i was only after a drama that would make me feel good and smile. Definitely a nice show to watch to take a break from all the dramas in real life.

I will miss the guys in this rom com they were adorable, and my fave new character Joo Eun was fierce she was so happy with her inner self, and such a positive character. I enjoyed her in OMV, and of course Young Ho was divine, not to mention his shirt less moments.... oh my. I loved that I got me some couple moments with minimum drama.

I think it may have been nice for Joo Eun to help after the accident but I appreciated that she put Young Ho's wishes first. I don't think that loving support always equates to being there physically but if you can support someone by respecting their choice in how to deal with their stuff----and you have a strong sense of self, and you like Joo Eun lived her life, and kept her love for him alive as he did during their separation, loved it.

Loved the romantic proposal the loved how Young Ho just loved him some Joo Eun, and how suportive family and friends were in this drama. I can actually watch this one again it was sweet, romantic and caused me to laugh out loud on more than one occasion, loved it. The pairing was perfect I love me SJS, and MA since MGIAG has been a favorite of mine, and enjoyed them and the supporting cast. JV

This is one drama i literally cringe the 2 leads doing stupid lovey- dovey little acts which are planted throughout the entire show@! There is NO substance to this show at all.

Not even Mr So's tortured act of his leg pain or non-existent of, saves this plot-thin or plot-nada drama some dignity. This show actually brought me to look for old drama and i ended up watching Lovers in Paris ... and became a big big fan of Fantastic Mr Park Shin Yang.

I have never seen a drama takes its genre so literally. To compare; it's like watching an action movie with nothing but fighting scenes. You don't know who is fighting, who the enemy is, what the mission or goal is, or why they are fighting. From the opening scene to the credits just straight kicks and punches. This is what Oh My Venus is like. After ep 8 the writer said "screw it lets just have them do nothing but date until the end of the show". Everything else is dropped. Only thing left was a lazy ass accident scene to give us a commercial break from the dating. So Ji Sub heals rather quickly and easily and back to the dating we go. I hope SJS picks up another drama soon to make up for this one. After waiting a year this left me disappointed.

It was a nice drama, but its not the best. But So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah's chemistry made up for it.
If anyone's wondering why So Ji Sub took this drama, it was actually for a nice cause.
So Ji Sub's known for investing in movies, wearing weird clothes and doing rap music (lol). It's not new news that this man does unusual things.
I went to his soompi forum (because i am A HUGE FANN...okay my inner fan girl is coming back...lets go back to being rational) and I found this from a translated article and this is what he said regarding to why he took OMV:

“We need to bring up rookie writers, if we want the drama industry to grow. I want to empower them, and give them an opportunity. That’s how a star can come to help, isn’t it? OMV is a rookie writer’s work, that makes me wanna do it even more.”

I thought that was really nice :) OMV was good for a rookie's work. I mean there's WORSE dramas right?

I totally agree with LollyPip's final comment up there, especially these parts:

"This drama never promised a complicated plot, and really, I don’t think it needed one."
Yes. OMV is a rom-com. Period.
A complicated plot is just unnecessary. Some people might be disappointed because they had much expectation. I lowered mine when I saw the first episode (because I'm an avid fan of heavy-complicated-plot drama, and I knew OMV would never give it to me lol) , and I still managed to enjoy it as much as I wanted. and that's why I'm here! to enjoy the rom-com part~

"Those were just issues the characters were dealing with as they lived their lives, but the show was never about those things..."
Another prove why there's nothing 'complicated' in this drama, although the results of the set ups for those issues unfortunately felt flat.

" But for me, I came here to see a sweet romance with fun chemistry between the leads, and that’s exactly what I got."
+1000

Thank you so much LollyPip! You certainly put a really really good word for this drama. I enjoyed reading your recap. Good job!

Until next drama :)

OMV ended up being a disappointment - at best, an avg. romcom.

The romcom/relationship part was OK, some good/decent laughs, but not as well done as some other romcoms (for instance, just finished "Let's Eat" and the humor there was better done and more natural; ep 11 in particular was simply hilarious).

The writer could have done so much more w/ the relationship (esp. w/ regard to humor) btwn JE and YH instead of repeatedly relying on JE doing her dimple gesture.

YH was JE's health/conditioning coach, but there was a great opportunity for YH to be JE's relationship/dating coach (since JE was a bit lost) - but all the writer end up having her do is to get YH a BOOK on dating.

What unimaginative writing and a lost opportunity.

The other part of OMV - the part revolving around Gahong was a complete MESS.

That storyline didn't have to be there - there are plenty of romcoms that do well just concentrating on the relationship, but since the writer had made the Gahong storyline such a large part, since it was there, would have been good if it had, at least, been decently done - but instead was a complete MESS as in other romcoms like "Secret Garden", "Rooftop Prince", that romcom/K-drama which shall remain nameless, etc.

Just another example of uninspired, cliche-filled and LAZY writing.

NOTHING in that story-line really made sense or was believable and the big DRAMA/conflict ended up not being much of a thing at all and characters ended up doing completely stupid, nonsensical things (Uncle).

If Halmoni Chairwoman was so concerned about her grandson inheriting the Gahong Princedom (basically was a modern take on a badly done palace intrigue w/ Manager Min playing the part of the palace Eunuch), then why have Uncle in such a position of power at Gahong and why didn't she kick him out ASAP after YH got hurt?

And why would kicking Step-Mom and her son out of the household do anything? Esp. since evidently, Father isn't seen as a threat to YH?

That whole Uncle intending on hurting/killing YH was just silly, lazy writing to begin with, but the fact that Uncle was able to find where YH's car in such a big city and then catch up to it was simply laughable.

Why did Uncle have to rely so much on Woo-shik if he had so many minions?

The writer totally dropped the ball when it came to Uncle and Gahong and the development of the medical centers.

Uncle had stated that he would be OK w/ YH taking over if YH was just going to be a "figurehead," as well as telling YH that there was no need for him to look at it - as it was pretty much done and that YH's father had approved the project.

So we got hints of Uncle being involved in shady-dealings, but that was dropped and never developed.

It was meekly mentioned later when WS asked Soo-jin to overlook his involvement in that.

Basically, after the reveal of YH as John Kim (which ended up not really being that big of a deal or a detriment to YH assuming...

Still on holidays and wanted to watch something light, entertaining and a feel-good kdrama. Picked OMV and have absolutely no regrets REWATCHING it again.
There were a lot of criticisms about the simplicity/pace of the plot and also the 'writing'. But these were overshadowed by the amazing casts that protrayed their character so well, our extraordinary and impressive characters like SJS, SMA, SH, Henry as well as JK and CJH. Thank you for all your hard work.

From this kdrama I have learnt that even though we all wear different 'hats' in our lives e.g. job, wife, mother, daughter, friend.... we must strive to remain positive and happy with all the roles we play, even in hard times. Therefore, stay healthy and happy, everyone!!!!!

You too ajumma fan! I think the drama did a pretty good job showing how those who value their lives no matter how difficult things are CAN be happy in the end. It is up to us how we treat our lives. I think no one has ever mentioned this but I love Joo Eun's BFF! She's the ultimate friend a girl could ever have and her relationship with her ex husband is pretty interesting too, especially in terms of how well they treat their son and try to give him their best despite not being together anymore.

Perhaps another crucial lesson here is the importance of communication and being honest to everyone around you, and how much it can affect one's upbringing. Somehow who has a flawed upbringing may turn out just fine but there is always that scar that can influence how they behave. Especially those who grow up having to suppress their feelings will certainly bear the brunt.

But to each his own as always.

This drama warmed the cockles of my cold, cold heart. I adore grown-up fluff as it provides relief from a busy life.
Well acted, nicely produced, stronh characters, comedy, romance and eye candy--it has what I wanted.
I am an ahjumma and I LOOK for these kinds of romcoms for people who are no longer college kids. :-) I "get" that we all have our favorites for different reasons.
They ended in the usual "oops, we're almost out of time" style. The pacing changed. The pads with all the flashbacks are almost always annoying, but that must be what Korean viewers want and I'm putting up with it. I don't want these dramas to become Westernized. (Except maybe a little bit in the pacing.)
I appreciate that they addressed weight issues from thyroid malfunction and that hard workouts make you gain.
Also, a pregnant thyroid patient could easily gain excessive weight in three months, even though she shouldn't to be healthy. You can gain 5 pounds in a weekend with that illness.

The fact that so many commenters only thought that a month had gone by shows how wacky the pacing was. Maybe it would have been more clear if I spoke Korean.

I agree that the little actress was not stalking the Snake. There is a big difference between a hot pursuit with stalking. He never really said no. There was a real stalker put in for comparison.

The year away did seem long. He didn't want her to see him at his worst. His storyline was about becoming a whole person physically and mentally so he could open up to other people. He had some emotional healing to do on his own, so I kinda get that. She was giving him space, which is mature.

What a relief! Grandmother made healthy adult behavior choices instead of the childishly ruthless stereotypes usually portrayed.
Finally, the kid flashback was a Band-Aid scene. That gimmick was kind of sweet. I think the scene was unnecessary, but it was what it was.

I almost never watch a show the instant it drops. This one had me hooked.

I finally finished the show as I had lost interest a bit but wanted to get that closure.

Loved how she was a little heavier again (even thought it was bc she was pregnant) and oh-so-happy in the end! Loved how there were so many uplifting, comical, happy scenes.

I agree with you about Yi-Jin. She never felt right for Joon-Sung. It was annoying that her character even existed. BUT the last scene of them together did make me feel better, as before it just felt like he had a girlfriend who forced herself on him.

I did NOT need to see a second Soo Jin-Woo Sik. There whole mini-drama was so unnecessary.

Biggest flaw of the show for me was the cliche intentional-car-crash accident that sent a drama that was something super fresh into tropeville in a very banal way. It just didn't need that. He could have had a relapse or something if they felt it needed an extra kick of drama.

Biggest draw of the show was the CREW and of course the main couple. So many happy fluttery feelings of love between the gang. Loved that they were all together for the wedding shoot. It really was like a love story about all of those friends! Good stuff.

I would say that Joon-Sung and Yi-Jin are perfect for each other. Throughout the drama, We can see that Joon-Sung like Yi-Jin gradually. In the beginning, he finds Yi-Jin arrogant and weird at first impression. Then Yi-Jin shows up again expressing interesting in him. I bet nobody ever show that much interesting in him at all, therefore he is taken by surprise by this cute girl but his defenses were up as he is not prepared to open up to this stranger. He did not find her irritating at all just that he does not know how to react in response to her advances.

The third time, Yi Jin look for him and was sad to be rejected. That is when Joon-Sung treated her seriously as he saw her bursting out in tears suddenly. The fourth time, we see Joon-Sung participate in the commercial with the CF Queen. Joon-Sung must have give in to her request. That shows that Joon-Sung does not dislike her.

Then in the car, Joon-Sung is amazed by Yi-Jin straightforwardness and childlike charm. However, Joon-Sung need to concentrate on his career and rejected dating with Yi-Jin. Not because he never have an interest in her.
The Swimming pool scene seal the deal between this couple. Joon-Sung look at Yi-Jin with a soft look and he can't bring himself to reprimand her, only to ponder about what to do with her. He is just not ready for love.

At the practice room, Yi-Jin came and accompanied Joon-Sung, I can see that Joon-Sung appreciate her but he is just used to been alone like a wolf, thus he ask her to leave him alone. Yi-Jin continued to stay and comfort his heart. Without any words, just simply stay by his side. Yi-Jin continue to go through his Defence by being nice to his Mother which earns her a lot of points. Joon-Sung love his Mother and it means a lot to him.

Eventually, they went out together for movie during Christmas. If Joon-Sung does not like her, will he invite yi jin as a family? Joon-Sung Mother knows that they like each other. Nobody knows best then his own Mother!
In the end, both of them were successful in their careers and were ready to go further step together as a couple. He is actually pleased to hear when Yi Jin won a popularity award but was embarrass to be teased about the speech. Actually, he was touched by Yi Jin too.

The locker room kiss is for Joon-Sung to reassure Yi Jin that he saw her effort and he actually like her just as much as she liked him.

The both of them have absolutely different personality but they matched each other like butter and cream. One who pursue love and her patience pays off. The other learn to accept and love others. They both found a balance with each other.

I'm late to the game, but cute show :-) The actors definitely helped overcome some of the over-the-top corny scenes and scenarios at the end. I wish it had ended with the wedding instead of the fat suit airport scene.

To add to the plot frustrations, I am confused why Woo-Shik would call Uncle to come over one minute after Young Ho gives WS the rehab project, adding that he still does not fully trust WS. Is WS really thinking, "I've been given a second chance....I know, let me just phone the villain who tried to murder you and get him over here..."? Are we trying to give Uncle a happily ever after story line too? Even if Uncle asked WS for a personal favor back at the hospital, he attempted murder for pete's sake.

This show was so much fun! I l loved Kang Joo Eun and Young-ho's relationship and I adored the fact there was very little angst between them and in the show in general, and yet it kept me completely enthralled for 16 episodes. They were totally #relationshipgoals! I loved the supporting cast and the made up family they created with Joon-sung, Ji Woong, Hyun Woo, Min Jun and Cheif Min! The scenes with them as a family were one of my favorite things about this whole show and never failed to put a smile on my face!
That being said, this is not a perfect drama. There were some unnecessary things, like Joon Sung's celebrity "girlfriend". I think this show could've done something with it, but they never let her evolve from the stalking fan-girl. I thought the show mishandled abuse as well because they had such a rich opportunity to DO SOMETHING with it but left it a "by the way" part of everything, especially from the moment Joon Sung and his mother met. I also felt that So Jin and Woo Shik's storyline was a miss. There was a lot they could've done with it (and honestly, I would've really liked to see what made him fall for her. She was mostly unlikable in the first episodes...) but it was, again, such a by the way idea to the whole show that it was left unexplored. She obviously has an eating disorder, and she never quite grew to love herself. When, in this episode, they suddenly introduced some angst in their relationship I found myself thinking "what's the point to this? Why do I need it?" because once again they went nowhere with it. They didn't even have them TALK about it. And the thing I felt like the biggest miss was Young-ho and his stepfamily. Honestly, they all felt like an instrument to cause the accident. Pretty decorations for that purpose alone. And then, as they served their purpose, they scrapped them off. If there had only been some interaction between Young-ho and his stepfamily to give some depth to this all thing. It was a little disappointing. I kept wanting to see something MORE with that family. But at the end, it was like the uncle always thought; they were discardable placeholders until Young-ho came back into the picture...

I know some people are hung up on the year of separation. Not being able to see Joo-eun was Young-ho's motivation to get healthy and strong. Wanting to see her is what drove him in his recovery. I think she understood that. Having said that, I loved that her mother told him that sharing your pain with someone lessens it. She didn't want to see him leave her daughter again in the future.

I finally watched this because I was looking for a completed drama I could marathon through. Typically I would complain about a drama with such poorly written plot (2nd half) BUT i found myself coming back episode after episode simply because of the amazing chemistry between the 2 leads. Their relationship was mature, loving, respectful, playful. And this is the first drama of So Ji Sub I'm watching. He is so charismatic...he just draws you in. So i enjoyed this simple, feel-good rom com :)

I really did love this series, especially the two leads chemistry and the fact that talking about sex was totally ok in this k-drama. But, was anyone else disappointed that Couch never learned to lean on D.Venus for support? That he could trust her to help him recover and be strong With him? He only shut her out, every time. All you get in the show, to acknowledge the fact that he can’t/shouldn’t shut her out like that again, was the little speech her mother made to him about getting through things together. He never acknowledges that he was wrong to do that just because he didn’t want to watch her cry. Maybe she would have cried less if you were Together!!! I was also a little disappointed that despite the amazing news about her being pregnant, WITH TWINS, he is all focused on just her losing weight again. It seemed like he actually didn’t feel happy to see her because she looked chunky again. I was kind of saddened by that. Your wife’s body is going through Crazy changes and carrying twins is even harder than regular! Maybe don’t focus on how she won’t be able to fit into her dress now? Lol all that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this and wish we could have seen their wedding and their twins being born.

It sucks how soo-jin's eating disorder (can you even call it that,I'm not sure but it seemed like something important.)wasn't even addressed,i kept waiting for a small sign that she's making steps to recovery. And her relationship with woo-shik didn't feel like the best(her pushing him away, acting passive aggressive instead of outright saying what's bothering her, keeping secrets from each other),they could've fleshed it out more.I loved the main couple though(super healthy and refreshing. Overall it was a good experience considering i put aside all my responsibilities and binged the whole thing ;).
