Episode 9 was not bad and we got Soon Deok's dad's perspective and backstory that includes (one assumes) Shi Woo and Sun Ah as the little kids in that fire. However, Episode 10 did not build much on that. It seemed to have slowed down again. And that's in a show that I feel could easily have been edited more and have had more character development included.

We need to know more about the adults to appreciate what the kids are up against... some idea of what Dean Hwang, the Meditation Prof Beok Gong, Wang Hao (Shi Ang's dad) and Chae Yoon (Shi Woo's dad) are capable of and why don't we see anymore 'magic'.

I find that Moorim's world is intriguing, and it could be so much more so if some attempt was made to build on what was shown in the beginning. What is the International Moorim Institute and what does it do (besides teach martial arts), why is this thing about world control even a part of it? It would be nice to know if there are any rules that this dramaverse follows, like under what circumstances is the seal open or broken, or what triggers Shi Woo's abilities or how much magic Moorim people are capable of and who gets to have magic.

If nothing much is being shown to us to explain the magic and abilities, I guess, at the end, we may get a whole lot of exposition (not preferred but better than nothing) to help us understand more about Moorim.

I'm impressed with the new episode 9-10 - its so slow and dragging but I realize something - our decisive and selfish responses of our past affects our future and its being shown in this series. I like Shi Woo and Seon Deok's selfless conversations and learning from Wang Chia's wanting to be on top. Shi woo was there but he felt so alone - everyone loves him but they cannot help him in his pain. Wanh Chia chooses to be cocky always ending to dissappoint others and asking everyone's pity. Oh love it - I can see Seo Ye Ji and Lee Hyun Woo's mature acting! But I'm military signs that LHW will be taken away soon. Hahahaha.

This show is actually getting better! I can see it progressing towards the feel of the opening scene in ep 1 which got me intrigued in the first place. (A type of fantasy drama). Fight scenes, maybe a little more magic coming out, good vs. Greedy evil.

It's really too bad that the ratings are not as good as they should be. For whatever reason people didn't like it or aren't sticking with it - maybe they didn't like the casting of the characters, the acting, show moving too slow, etc. or the going back and forth between Korean and English by one person in particular. I've had some the same feelings. I've chosen to ignore or accept some of those annoying things (much like I have to leave my common sense and logic at the door as I do with some of these other kdramas), and enjoy the ride that the show is trying to take me on.

I can't ignore the potential of the show and it's storyline, which is intriguing to me. AND THE SHOW IS GETTING BETTER AS IT GOES ALONG.

Sad to hear about the disagreements with production costs, but have a feeling this writer's intention was to have an epic battle at the end fitting for a fantasy type show. Not sure how they will do it now, having to trim 4 episodes off.

My hope and wish is for someone to remake this in the way it should be made if it be in China or Japan etc. The plot would make a great anime, book, or even movie if done right. JMHO

I find the story interesting. It's quite different from most Korean tv dramas. The magical part is really getting better. Wang Chi Ang may have promised to beat Shi Woo but still he helps him get his energy out! I hope they don't botch the last episodes just to shorten it.
