Yeo Jin-gu as a young future king in Jackpot

In the interest of equal opportunity prettiness, here we have the latest character poster for SBS’s Jackpot, featuring Yeo Jin-gu as the other half of the drama’s main rivalry. Because Jang Geun-seok is pretty, sure, but it would be remiss of us to ignore his counterpart, yes?

I feel like I’ve said as much about this lost-prince, gamblers-in-Joseon, common-man-versus-king-showdown sageuk as I can, so I’ll just take the adage to heart about a picture being worth a thousand words and leave it at that. *Imagines a thousand words.*

There, my work is done.

Jackpot follows Six Flying Dragons on SBS and premieres on March 28.

I'm liking this poster a lot more! He seems to be carrying the look a lot better than Jang Geun-seok; although, both are undeniably pretty to look at!

Sometimes I have dirty thoughts about him---then I remember his age and snap back to reality. Doesn't help that he has a voice of a grown man. ?

Love this boy..yes boy! since the days of moon embraces the sun. What a drama that was and his acting was so remarkable that I now what ever drama of his. Watched orange marmalade just for him and no regrets.
He is a star and his career is only getting better with age.

Same here. I watched the entirety of the Moon Embracing the Sun because of him. I don't even remember most of that drama, just the first few episodes, which he was in.

It's been hard to watch his recent dramas though, since they've been sooo boring on the whole. I'm sure he has a limited pick of roles since he's still at that in-between age. But it still sucks to see him acting so well when he's paired up with milk toast costars and juvenile scripts. I can't wait until he starts taking on more mature roles in meatier dramas.

This picture is not helpful. AT ALL. Usually I warm up to actors in some show so they become gorgeous. Then I forget and become neutral until they win me over again.
Yeo jin Gu is an exception, he's just insanely gorgeous period. And then he opens his mouth and you pretty much forget your name x-x
For me knowing the number doesn't work. I snap back to reality when I see other boys his age -_-

What was it...I think they call him stone face boy or something similar, because apparently he's not handsome enough for koreans. The way some flower boys are. He said that in an interview. I was just wondering how on earth can people be so blind x-x

Okie, not 'not handsome enough', quoting "not handsome".

*goes back to stare at the beautiful face*

What, that's crazy! Who in their right mind would think he's not handsome enough?!?! He's such a cutie, and he's managed to avoid that androgynous look so many young k actors have. Come to think of it, maybe that's the problem. Such different taste in korea, yikes.

I read negative comments about his looks while watching Orange Marmarlade too, and couldn't understand some peeps. Well it's personal preference after all, but in this drama he's full of charisma, sucking my attention like a black hole.
He and the king are my two fav characters. I might be heartbroken seeing him not getting the girl, but oh well who cares.

He looks like Yongguk, even their voices are kinda similar. I am really looking forward to this drama since I insanely love Jang Geun Suk and adore this little but not-so-little Yeo Jin Gu.

Still meh about the main actress but I can just ignore her.

I don't see the Yongguk comparison at all, maybe the voice but the face or body type, nope.

I've said over and over and over again since Moon Embracing the Sun that Yeo Jin-gu is THE star of the future. Can you imagine him at 25? I can!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch him on variety shows like Happy Together and see his lovely personality and how his humble presence seems to galvanize a room. There's just something so strong, so gentle, so wise in this man-child - as if he is an old soul. I think he's just one of those human beings destined for greatness without even trying.
