Three Meals a Day comes back for a fourth season

Hooray, Three Meals a Day is coming back! Na Young-seok PD has announced that he will again be helming the fourth season of this outdoor cooking variety program (alongside PD Lee Jin-ju, who co-directed on Youths Over Flowers in Africa), which will return to Friday nights on tvN. The format of Three Meals a Day is as follows: actors are dropped off in a rural area with no delivery food or restaurants nearby, and are tasked to cook all three of their own meals for that day.
Despite the deceptively simple premise, Three Meals a Day became an unexpected hit. Seasons 1 and 2 featured grumpy Uncle Seojinnie (Lee Seo-jin, Marriage Contract) and reliable 2PM leader Ok Taecyeon (Assembly) with guest celebrities like Park Shin-hye and Choi Ji-woo often stopping by to “help” with the cooking. Season 3 was a spinoff taking place in a fishing village, and it featured Chajumma (Cha Seung-won, Hwajeong), Yoo Hae-jin (Veteran), and Sohn Ho-joon (Mrs. Cop) as the main cast.
While there have been subtle hints about a possible Chajumma-Seojinnie meeting for the upcoming season, nothing has been confirmed. Literally, nothing. We don’t know whether this new season will take place on a random island in the sea (Season 3) or in the countryside in the middle of nowhere (Seasons 1 and 2) or whether it will be somewhere entirely different. We don’t know if the cast from any of the seasons are coming back or whether we’ll be seeing a completely new set of actors.
We don’t even know when it will premiere, just that it will be sometime after Na PD’s current web variety program New Journey to the West finishes its run. However, if past seasons of Three Meals a Day are any indication, Na PD will create a warm funny show filled with cute pets and laughs, extracting something extraordinary from the mundane.

I thoroughly enjoyed Fishing Village, watching Chajumma was such a treat. I hope he joins season 4!
Now only if I could find English subtitles for Fishing Village, aren't there any CSW fans who are willing to sub? Pretty please...

*praying hard* please make Seojinnie and Chajumma the members, I can totally see them. They're so different, but like the saying, opposites attract!
Btw, any of you watching New Journey to the West s2? Ahn Jae Hyun is unexpectedly really funny, Lee Seung Gi recommanded the right person to replace him! The whole show feels more right, much better than season 1 where you had LSGi trying so hard to bring the mood while HD and LSGeun were a bit uncomfortable (one for his comeback, the other with internet format, which also confused us, viewers). Not saying it wasn't funny, but this season, they're more at ease.

Her sister is joining the Law of the Jungle in New Caledonia...I hope she will join too..joining varieties like this is her chance to get more fans... but she's doing drama right now..and maybe a movie with Park Hae Jin which is Cheese in the Trap Movie...I am hoping for that..

tvN says this is a reboot essentially and that Na PD won't be part of it, nor any of the original cast. In fact it's being directed by the PD who did YOF Africa, which really wasn't well edited so I'm not really excited for it.

There is already a season 2 for Fishing Village. So if you are counting the originals and the spin offs together, shouldn't this new season counted as season 5?

Nope, Taecyeon is not the leader of 2PM. In fact, the group don't have a leader.
Not sure about LSJ or others but Taecyeon got new variety at SBS and he also will be busy with new drama.

But still the one in charge of speaking doesn't mean he is the leader. Because it not even on the article that stated Taecyeon is 2PM leader. The original article provided only stated his name Ok Taecyeon alongside other cast member.
I see that this new writer have doing few mistakes on her article before.

As much as I loved Seo Jinnie in his shows, I felt, that his patience run very thin during the last two eps. He seems to be a fairly vain and at the same time intensely private person, even shy sometimes, hiding behind his sarcasm. Which is weirdly refreshing to see, but must be strenuous for him.
With GoF he can step back into the second row most of the time, work in the background, but still gets his name out, screentime and the moolah.
Unless the year of rest was enough for him my bet is on GoF for LSJ and a new team for 3MAD.
