New Year’s resolutions to spend Tomorrow With You

The bickering has already begun for future husband-and-wife pair Lee Je-hoon (Signal) and Shin Mina (Oh My Venus), who make New Year’s wishes in the latest teaser for their new drama Tomorrow With You. The upcoming tvN romantic-comedy comes from PD Yoo Je-won of Oh My Ghostess and High School King of Savvy and writer Heo Sung-hye of the movie All About My Wife, and tells the funny love story of a time-traveler and his wife.

Lee Je-hoon stars as Yoo So-joon, a time-traveler who uses his abilities entirely for selfish gain. He becomes a successful CEO by traveling back from the future and making surefire investments, and he marries Shin Mina’s character after only knowing her for three months because of something he sees in his future. Shin Mina plays Song Ma-rin, a former child star who believes she peaked in her youth, and is now a struggling photographer with boundless optimism. The drama will follow their unconventional romance that starts with marriage and eventually leads to love.

The latest teaser opens with Shin Mina’s character Ma-rin writing her wishes for 2017 on a bunch of eggs, starting with, “Make my love come true.” Next she writes, “Tomorrow with you. Ma-rin ♥ So-joon.” So-joon wonders why she’s written so many wishes, but she says that if they hatch, the wishes are supposed to come true.

He finds it ridiculous, but when a little chick hatches out of one of the eggs, he immediately grabs a pen and starts writing down a wish. She snuggles up to ask, “What are you going to write—for me to marry you?” He deadpans, “Everything but that,” making steam come out of her nostrils in anger. While holding up the newly hatched chicks, he asks if 2017 is the year of the rooster, and she says it’s the year of the baby chick. Behind his back, he hides the egg he wrote his wish on, which says, “Please let me marry you tomorrow.” Aww, they’re going to be SO CUTE.

Tomorrow With You follows The Lonely Shining Goblin on Fridays and Saturdays beginning February 3.

The writer does not seem to have many credits, though Dream High 2 certainly isn't something that would encourage me to see this.

I also feel hesitant because of Shin Mina, I've just found that many of her more recent project choices just don't work for me – too fluff somehow and female characters that I ultimately can't relate to. I ended up dropping Oh My Venus and I found My Love, My Bride really annoying (remembering that film hurts my brain).

I need her to do something non-rom-com (something really, really dark preferably) before I can appreciate her again. But it seems like that in her 30s, all the roles Shin Min-a is getting are in fluffy rom-coms. Of course, good female roles (non-cliché) are scarce and unfortunately she doesn't have same knack as Gong Hyo-jin in choosing projects that just have that little extra sparkle to make them worth watching.

(I don't know anything about Lee Je-hoon so no thoughts there.)

I wonder if you're not married yet because My Love My Bride is something that married couples can totally relate to. I so love that movie. It depicts how newly married couples deal with problems they face in the first years of marriage.

I'm with you Alua...haven't been able to connect with any of Shin Mina's projects lately. I too dropped OMV, and I found My love, My Bride so forgettable that remembering one scene had me wrecking my brain. And yes, I'm married.

Oh YES! First time I watched a Kdrama and googled to find out who the director was - King of High School Savvy. Same with Oh My Ghostess. I love his style.

The haaaaair....Lee Je-hoon nooo. I'm not digging it like I do with Goblin's hair.

Anyway, it's good to see him in a rom.com for a change.

hahaha his hair though, cute but he looks weird.

He said that he wanted to do romcom, so here he is. I hope this drama will turn out to be great, especially with these main leads.

Yes! Those bangs are freaking me out and part of me thinks he will come to regret it one day when he looks back on photos of his drama haircuts.

I see Shin Min Ah & Lee Je Hoon and I'm sold! And it's cheeky of them to introduce 2017 as Year of Rooster with eggs and chicks included.

Two brilliant actors and a script and production helmed by proven professionals....I'm totally in!! The final happy kiss is for tvN which, in my books, has an almost 100% success with great dramas.

Aw this teaser is super adorable!!! ^^

Shin Mina and Lee Je Hoon make one cute couple! I hope this drama is good because Mina's last drama was sweet and fluffy like cotton candy, but not satisfying.

Shin Mina is a fantastic actress. I've loved her in everything, especially Oh My Venus. Oh My Venus was a tear jerker of a romantic comedy which highlighted her range as an actress. Looking forward to this drama.
