Strong Woman Do Bong-soon becomes our very own neighborhood superhero

Already I have a good feeling about the upcoming JTBC rom-com Strong Woman Do Bong-soon — hopefully, it’ll satisfy my sweet tooth cravings! The latest teasers show off Do Bong-soon’s incredibly awesome strength, as she uses her powers for good. I can’t wait to see Park Hyung-shik (Hwarang) and Park Bo-young (Oh My Ghostess) fall in love, especially after these Elle photo shoot pictures were released. They look absolutely adorable together, and my oh my, doesn’t Park Hyung-shik’s smoldering gaze make your heart flutter?
In her highly anticipated new drama, Park Bo-young stars as the petite protagonist who was born with unexpectedly immense strength. Park Hyung-shik is a weirdo chaebol CEO who comes under her protection when he seeks her out to become his bodyguard, and Ji-soo (Fantastic) makes up the third leg of the love triangle, a righteous individual with strong moral principles.
Styled after the theme song of 1970s popular children’s TV show Astroganger (Korean Title: Jjang-Ga), the music for this recently released teaser was sung by comedic actors Kim Won-hae (Hwarang) and Kim Min-gyo (You Are the Only One), and the overall effect is laugh-out-loud hilarious.
Late one rainy night, in the Do-bong neighborhood of Do-bong City, a scream is heard, and immediately Do Bong-soon drops her umbrella and rushes to save the day. The anime-esque teaser features Do Bong-soon as an everyday superwoman who can’t stand injustice and fights on behalf of the weak.
When she witnesses a subway groper, comic fire shoots out of her eyes. Walls break when she brings a fist to them, and iron bars bend at her touch. Whenever she sees crime happen in her town, she uses her natural Hulk-like strength to beat up the bad guys and defend the helpless citizens.
In another promo clip, Park Bo-young carries a mountain of gift-wrapped presents, and they fly everywhere when she accidentally bumps into Park Hyung-shik. For a moment, he’s worried when she’s been buried under all the presents and looks around anxiously, but she’s right in front of him. With a determined smile and raised arms, she leans in for a hug, but he disappears into thin air. She pouts, disappointed, but then he pops up right beside her, and embraces her in a back hug.
Awww, so cute — I need this in my life ASAP but alas, it’s an entire month away… Strong Woman Do Bong-soon will air starting February 24 on Fridays and Saturdays.

I love romcoms and I like the pair instantly, and then I saw Ji-Soo, oh my heart! No second lead syndrome here, the main leads hv chem just looking at their pics. I want JiSoo for myself, haha.
The height diff, though, well, that makes it cute, Park Bo Young is always cute.

Im not too impress with PHS in hwarang right now, but damn he is r e a l l y h a n d s o m e. PBY was amazing in OMG. Ji Soo was good in Page Turner. I want to keep my expectation low so I can get more surprises.

The last pic, PHS's hand is really tan. I watch hwarang bts, they keep commenting on in the script, PHS's hands are supposed to be really white but because of shooting in summer, PHS's hand is very noticeable tan.

Exactly! That's why, I won't hold it too much against Aro for rejecting my lovely boy since his pairing with Park Bo Young looks so much more promising anyway....looking at all those promos vids and pics, I can already sense their chemistry is gonna be off the charts.
I'm so proud of Hyungsik, it's such an awesome opportunity for him to act alongside such a fine actress like Bo Young ssi.
For Hwarang, I'm now only looking forward to Sam Maek Jong's journey into becoming this great King of Silla ...this and Banryu/Sooyeon romance...Do Ji Han and Lee Da In are delightful revelations to me (I will keep an eye on them in the future)

His eyes are everything, they are so expressive♥ (it's a major asset acting wise imo) That was the first thing I fell for. Plus, he has a lot of screen presence and charisma. It doesn't hurt that he's handsome too. And his voice is swoon worthy... He's the full package imo. Really talented.

Hahaha, that first teaser is great! I love how they're playing up the "strong woman" angle in this one. Almost like a gag show or an adorable, female version of One Punch Man.
And oh my goodness Hyung-sik and Bo-young, as expected, look almost too cute together. There's something in Hyung-sik's gaze that turns me into a pile of jelly every single time. CAN'T WAIT! <3

No he hasn't been confirmed yet, I think his in consideration along other actors. Though if they are looking for someone younger then hyungsik would be a good choice, handsome,has charisma, the acting, I think he can carry a a show and he definitely has the regal vibe.

Aaaaah the role of Ha Baek, I do agree PHS might be a suitable candidate also, but isn't it adapted in modern time? I wonder the whole regal aura still matters here since it's a modern piece anyway, but Hyungsik do has that aristocrat flair also, which makes him suitable for otherworldly character like Ha Baek, I can say this after checking him in High Society ^^

I for one, do not want him to take BOTWG. I have read the story and although the start is good, the rest falls rather flat. I do not want this to ruin his almost flawless record in selecting roles. Plus i have no confidence with the writer nim nor can i believe his pairing with Moon Chae Won.

Spot on with him having a 'regal' aura! That's why he is so believable in his role as King Jinheung. He actually reminds me of how Ji Chang Wook was in Empress Ki as the Emperor. Both actors fit their roles to a T because of the entirety of them looks very 'kingly'.

Though she looks beautiful in the pictures, I kinda like PBY better with lesser makeup(e.g. in A werewolf boy). She reminds me a little of Han Ye Sul in some of the pictures.

I'm so happy Hyungsik is getting bigger roles. Have watched him since Nine where he was kinda green but when I saw What Happens to My Famil, he showed great improvement.
With the success of Hwarang, hopefully this drama too will give him another breakthrough role.

The very last pic, of him looking at her, just made my heart skip a beat. He has got that charisma, looks ,and that dazzling smile to make me fall in love with him over and over again. I cant seem to take my eyes off this man. Even in Hwarang, all i see is him. Too bad he wont end up with Go Ara.
Anyways here, they look both cute together and got that couple kind of look. Cant wait for this drama to air.

Il be honest n admit i wasnt a fan of PHS when he first started.then i saw his character had alot of great chemistry with Nam ji hyun in what happens to my family. I also watch when the cast attended Happy together. Thats when i finally put aside my preconceived notions. I realise hes not just another idol actor. This guy enjoys acting, enjoys the learning process, enjoy meeting new actors esp his sunbaes. His costars praise him for being onset early and stayed even when hes not filming, either watching the production team work or cheering his costars. The warmth when he does display in a character is efortless cause thats him in real life too. While i still thk theres lots of room for improvement in acting, im glad a hardworking person like him in given chances to grow n improve. From his gaze it feels he has hit it off with park bo young already. Thrill n excited to see this drama!

the last height difference i've seen in a drama is full house RAIN and song hye kyo! the drama that brings me to the world of kpop fandom...i am sooo excited about height difference!it just makes it so adorable!! both Hyungsik and Jisoo are really tall! boyoung unnie is petite! its GONE BE SOO CUTE!!!!!

This is gonna be a really fun drama. 1 month is WAY too long of a wait.
I find interesting that Park Bo Young's character in Oh My Ghost is Na Bong Sun then this time she's Do Bong Sun. I hope it becomes a major plot point as to why she has ridiculously monstrous strength. I'm trying to imagine how Oh My Ghost would have played out if her character there had this much strength (poor chef Jo Jung Suk).
Ji Soo, jeez can he actually get the girl this time? I was so sad for him in Sassy Go Go because he didn't end up with Jeong Eun Ji. Is he always going to be shafted to the friendzone for the rest of his drama career? I know that no way is he going to end up with Park Bo Young here. At least, you know, make him end up with someone else at the end instead of friendzoning him forever.

I'm soooooooo excited for this drama! I love Park Bo Young and have also been really impressed with Hyung Sik's acting over his last few projects. I'm also excited for Ji Soo, though sad he's the second lead again. We need a drama where Ji Soo gets the girl already! A nice long one!
